Thank you for your continued response to this epic cover by Dan and his guitarist Garrett J. Peters. They turned the saddest song in the world into a metal anthem. I didn't like the movie Titanic myself...but wow that made my day. ❤
Dan is Brazilian and his native language is Brazilian Portuguese. He can speak English very well.
His covers are mostly in English and very few in any other language.

Ya know, I never liked that movie either, I told my wife that when we saw it the first time, she was not happy with me, but i just said that I am allowed to have my own opinion

Thanks for your reaction. They don't speak Spanish in Brazil. They speak Brazilian Portuguese. I think he speaks excellent English. Sadly, he is losing that beautiful accent that he had a few years ago. BTW, Dan is a vet of the Brazilian army.

I really love how you stopped at the end, and just meditated on what you'd just heard, and that was a great commentary you gave after that pause. Thank you very much! I have pulled up all of your reactions since "Amazing Grace," and I organized them in the order in which I figured you had done them. Now I've moved "O Holy Night" over to the left of the two "Phantom of the Opera" songs, since you mentioned that you might do it next. After I finish with the (for me, right now...) three-day-old reactions, I'll be moving to the two-day-old reactions, and then to the one from yesterday, with the "anthem and the apology" coming last.
After that, I have some suggestions for you, since you are retired military, that I think you will absolutely love. I can't afford to make official requests right now (though at times I will be able to), but I CAN make some suggestions about my favorite WARRIOR songs that Dan sings.

Thanks again for sharing your thoughts on another song from Dan and Garrett. This is a very powerful and unique take on this classic song and shows off the control he has over his voice. I hope you enjoyed hearing it and that you will continue reacting to this incredible artist. Dan tries very hard to enunciate clearly. Many reactors have said they never knew the correct song lyrics they had listened to for YEARS until Dan sang them. The Brazilian Portuguese language doesn't pronounce TH , SH, CH, S the same way we do. I've noticed that sometimes Dan can say THE, but there is usually a percentage of times he has used a D sound instead of TH in many of his songs. Since he does almost everything by himself, he doesn't have someone check his videos for proper pronunciation. After posting one video, he wrote' "D***it, Can you guess what mistake I made?" In his language CH AND SH are sometimes interchangeable . Since he doesn't run his work by English speakers first, Dan had sung the word WATCH instead of WASH. It was very noticeable when repeated in the chorus. Too late to correct it , so he left it there. Take it or leave it, he's done his best at the time he did it.
