Got the EU Version with 12/512 GB and esim. Play Store and Security Patch @ july and no Problems with the Camera app. Underrated High/Midrange Phone. Got the Redmi note 12 pro 5g and the Pixel 7, and prefer the Edge 50 pro in every way.

To be honest, I along with my few colleagues ordered this phone, it's been 3 months, and it works fine. There were no issues with the Camera app. There are minor bugs here and there but nothing deal breaker. And my colleagues have the same opinion.

I have been using moto edge 50 pro for the last 3 months . I got 2 updates so far, lag issue while playing 4k video is fixed , but video recording in 4k still lags and stutters. I get 5 hrs of SOT. I happy with it. If camera is not your priority then go for edge 50 as is has military grade protection and bigger battery. UI experience is good , for casual gaming its good , i play bgmi for 2 hrs straight everyday it gets really hot(42°) if not playing under fan or in a ac room (below 40° under fan )but it gets cool quickly too , i get 60 fps most of the time in bgmi (smooth+extreme).im not much of a camera person so better i dont comment on it still it's good tho, gets thing done.no call or range issue. K bie. Update : now camera app sucks. Photos are okay like they still take time to process but video sucks af in 4k it just stutters a lot and some time it crashes . Video in 1080p in okay no crashes stutters. Other than that phone is 8.5/10

Yes bro it has no bugs upto you use like hardcore gamer. You can't even get small lags generally. But 4k hdr lags often. It is one of best mobile under 30k. It can handle casual gaming with no problem. I am using it since 2 months and I play ff and another somewhat big apps. If you want better performance choose another

I bought this phone for my father, He's absolutely loving it but the only main issue he's facing is that sometimes when there is a call, its asking him to unlock the phone then he can pickup the call. Am I the only one who is facing this issue or others also facing similar issue?
@@AdithJai I don't think thats a feature, its asking him to unlock the phone sometimes and the other times he can lift the call without unlocking the phone
surprisingly these bugs are only prevalent in Indian units, do keep in mind that Indian pricings are way cheaper than other regions. Moto should acknowledge the issues at least.

I see mixed reviews about the camera. It's not as bad according to some people. I'm in the USA and want a moto and 3x telephoto for under $500. I rarely take videos, and don't care about processing speed. Camera is not prioritized. I mostly just use phone for doordash and Uber eats.

Yhi mere saath hua tha when I trusted most reviewers and bought the Xiaomi Pad6 instead of the Galaxy TabS9FE. The software is full of major bugs and RAM management is so pathetic that it can't keep even two apps in the memory. Its been one of my worst purchase decisions ever. These reviewers use a device for a couple of days and give their verdict basically based off the specs sheet and the perceived "value for money".
buddy couple of days is a stretch If a video comes couple of days after the launch then remember that one has to edit shoot make thumnnails also. that takes up time too. so now you get a few hours with the device max

Your review is absolutely bang on!! I have used this phone from 9th April till 30th July. Ended up selling up the phone since the camera app is absolutely nonsensical. Phone keeps dropping calls and no software update at all apart from security patches. The kind of hype that was created around this phone and about the future updates i was thinking things will change and nothing has changed in terms of updates. I sold this phone and bought myself S23 i am telling you go with Samsung or Apple when it comes to timely updates. You can trust them blindly on this one. I am happy to see you are the only one pointing out facts about this phone and motorola!!!

Hello, I am also a motorola edge 50 pro user and I am getting updates like every month or 1.5 month. And I use my phone for 8 hours a day average but I haven't encountered much bugs yet, Only issue I have is the battery it runs out too early and I have to charge my phone 2--3 times a day ( I dont do gaming)

Bhai 6 saal se 1 hi phone use kar raha hoon, Motorola one power, never updated its OS, still on Android 8.1, bas 1 baar battery change hui hai, it still takes sharp photos through GCam, ab phone change karne ka soch raha hoon, lekin Motorola ne recent Edge 50 series se buhat disappoint kia hai.

Bro i recently got an update for july security patch And apart from the camera app Everything thing is buttery smooth And i usually get a sot of 7hrs And the camera app only lags in outdoor conditions And after the july security app i feel like the camera is a bit better (maybe placebo ) And i have upgraded from realme xt So overall for me this is a big upgrade

I have been using the phone as well, I did not personally experience that big of an issue from the camera application. Yes it's laggy, but not to the point of being unusable. The pictures are amazing. And it hasn't crashed on me while trying to take pictures and videos. That said, they have a weird bug in the battery drainage graph. Once you uview it, it doesn't update after that. And sometimes if I don't open whatsapp, I won't get the messages people are sending me. Then I open it and see someone sent me a text 1 hour ago. Is anyone else facing the same issue? I agree, Moto is cripling itself with their general lack of software updates. I have received 3 updates after purchase so far. Not one was about any bug fixes. Only security updates.

@@JtJones I have a theory behind the lag. Before I bought my phone, I think I had watched most reviews/first impression video released. I bought the phone after 2 weeks of release or something. So, I noticed all the 8gb models were showing terrible camera app lag, video recording lag, and RUclips playback lag. And yet, the 12gb variants seemed to be fine. That's actually the reason why I went with the 12gb phone 😅 While the camera app lags, it's very usable, and I haven't seen any RUclips 4k HDR lags. These were the first things I had checked after unboxing 😂 Since a lot of people were having issues. In my opinion, their decision to go with a UFS 2.0 storage was inane. That's the major reason dragging the experience down. And the one weak side of this phone would be, the video quality from the telephoto lens during tricky lighting conditions (think about heavy clouds and such). At that time, the video basically becomes unusable. And of course the whole Software update issue. They could have just given it a UFS 3.1 storage. Since that's the normal memory type in that price. And a 5000 Mah battery. Optimising the Software to be more efficient is great. But a 5000 mah battery would simply last longer. Use a decent capacity battery and then optimise that to make your device stand out. Because this phone really could be hands down the best phone (except for Gaming focused) in that range if they had fixed that. The camera performance is amazing for the price. The day to day usage is great too.

Yes bro it has no bugs upto you use like hardcore gamer. You can't even get small lags generally. But 4k hdr lags often. It is one of best mobile under 30k. It can handle casual gaming with no problem. I am using it since 2 months and I play ff and another somewhat big apps. If you want better performance choose another

I bought this phone for my father, He's absolutely loving it but the only main issue he's facing is that sometimes when there is a call, its asking him to unlock the phone then he can pickup the call. Am I the only one who is facing this issue or others also facing similar issue?

surprisingly these bugs are only prevalent in Indian units, do keep in mind that Indian pricings are way cheaper than other regions. Moto should acknowledge the issues at least.

Yhi mere saath hua tha when I trusted most reviewers and bought the Xiaomi Pad6 instead of the Galaxy TabS9FE. The software is full of major bugs and RAM management is so pathetic that it can't keep even two apps in the memory. Its been one of my worst purchase decisions ever. These reviewers use a device for a couple of days and give their verdict basically based off the specs sheet and the perceived "value for money".

Your review is absolutely bang on!! I have used this phone from 9th April till 30th July. Ended up selling up the phone since the camera app is absolutely nonsensical. Phone keeps dropping calls and no software update at all apart from security patches. The kind of hype that was created around this phone and about the future updates i was thinking things will change and nothing has changed in terms of updates. I sold this phone and bought myself S23 i am telling you go with Samsung or Apple when it comes to timely updates. You can trust them blindly on this one. I am happy to see you are the only one pointing out facts about this phone and motorola!!!

Hello, I am also a motorola edge 50 pro user and I am getting updates like every month or 1.5 month. And I use my phone for 8 hours a day average but I haven't encountered much bugs yet, Only issue I have is the battery it runs out too early and I have to charge my phone 2--3 times a day ( I dont do gaming)

Bhai 6 saal se 1 hi phone use kar raha hoon, Motorola one power, never updated its OS, still on Android 8.1, bas 1 baar battery change hui hai, it still takes sharp photos through GCam, ab phone change karne ka soch raha hoon, lekin Motorola ne recent Edge 50 series se buhat disappoint kia hai.

I have only one complaint with this phone. It lags a lot and my 3 year old phone feels more smoother which was realme 7x pro.

And apart from the camera app
Everything thing is buttery smooth
And i usually get a sot of 7hrs
And the camera app only lags in outdoor conditions
And after the july security app i feel like the camera is a bit better (maybe placebo )
And i have upgraded from realme xt
So overall for me this is a big upgrade

I have been using the phone as well, I did not personally experience that big of an issue from the camera application. Yes it's laggy, but not to the point of being unusable. The pictures are amazing. And it hasn't crashed on me while trying to take pictures and videos.
That said, they have a weird bug in the battery drainage graph. Once you uview it, it doesn't update after that. And sometimes if I don't open whatsapp, I won't get the messages people are sending me. Then I open it and see someone sent me a text 1 hour ago. Is anyone else facing the same issue?
I agree, Moto is cripling itself with their general lack of software updates. I have received 3 updates after purchase so far. Not one was about any bug fixes. Only security updates.

@@JtJones I have a theory behind the lag. Before I bought my phone, I think I had watched most reviews/first impression video released. I bought the phone after 2 weeks of release or something. So, I noticed all the 8gb models were showing terrible camera app lag, video recording lag, and RUclips playback lag. And yet, the 12gb variants seemed to be fine. That's actually the reason why I went with the 12gb phone 😅 While the camera app lags, it's very usable, and I haven't seen any RUclips 4k HDR lags. These were the first things I had checked after unboxing 😂 Since a lot of people were having issues.
In my opinion, their decision to go with a UFS 2.0 storage was inane. That's the major reason dragging the experience down.
And the one weak side of this phone would be, the video quality from the telephoto lens during tricky lighting conditions (think about heavy clouds and such). At that time, the video basically becomes unusable.
And of course the whole Software update issue.
They could have just given it a UFS 3.1 storage. Since that's the normal memory type in that price. And a 5000 Mah battery. Optimising the Software to be more efficient is great. But a 5000 mah battery would simply last longer. Use a decent capacity battery and then optimise that to make your device stand out.
Because this phone really could be hands down the best phone (except for Gaming focused) in that range if they had fixed that. The camera performance is amazing for the price. The day to day usage is great too.
My son is turning 16 soon and I want to gift him a phone I've chosen any one from Nothing Phone 2a, Moto edge 50 pro, Moto edge 50 fusion and One plus 11r which one should I buy? He does a little gaming and clicks photos
