What is an Ercol 203 chair?

Thanks for this great info, have you any idea where the F601 fits into the story is it a lot earlier? It has tension springs with sprung cushion and is also 30cm seat height.

Hi Valeri - I think (but I am not sure) that the F601 was the original designation of the 176 tub chair. This became the 249 and then the 305 - Ercol numbering systems are anything but easy to follow. Best wishes. Simon

Interesting. 203 and 334 chairs are often confused in auctions. Accord8ng to Ercol the rerelease of the 203 in the originals range is known as a 206, and not a 203. How they are distinguished I know not apart from the finish as the 206 will have an acrylic varnish.
