I hope your right . Hank should NEVER EVER be forgotten . Hank done more for Country Music them any other artist before him are since his death . Hank Williams kid the King of Country Music and always will be .
There is something super special about Hank's Grandchildren singing his songs. Amazing he only lived to 29, and still managed to have such an impact. The legacy lives on!
My dad was a huge Hank Williams Sr fan. When he died we played this song as they wheeled his casket out of the church. It was the same song the audience sang at the venue Sr. was traveling to after it was announced he had died.
I didn’t know about Holly until this documentary Ken Burns did and I’m watching on PBS. I saw her sing the first stanza of “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry”. With that voice I knew she had to sing professionally. I love her singing.
Talent coming right down the line. That's awesome. I never heard of her (or the song) until last night when I watched the Ken Burns documentary. I am a Music Therapist and I am going to do this one. Such a happy upbeat song no matter what religion you are.
I didn't know about this Williams until I saw her sing with her daddy Hank Jr. She is dam good. Where has she been ? Bochephus should have brought her to the light. She is a talent.
Give her a chance. Needs a far better band. Some guitar lessons. Her stage presence is very good. She has potential. Its got to be tough to follow up a talent like her dad that can just about do it all.........
Contrary to popular belief,Hank was NOT the first to record this! Roy Acuff had the first original recording, months before Hank's! Hank wrote it,yes his was the most popular but Roy recorded it,first! ;)
Steve Endicott Steve, you are right about Roy recording it first. Acuff said that on the back of Hank Williams album once, the writing part you mentioned is something Acuff never once said Hank didn't . The ones in car when Hank first came up with song testified it was years before the Acuff recording. Hank took the melody from 'He set me Free' and some of the wording, but really this song is Hanks--indisputable.
Actually, I believe Hank was the first to record this song, but they didn't release it right away. Roy's version was released first, but not recorded first.
Sure sounds better than her dad. My only problem is it was very hard to really hear her the music was to loud for her voice. The music drowned her out. I heard her Aunt Jett sing and she sounds good too. To bad hank jr. Didn't follow in his daddy's shoes with having a great voice also. But his Sister Jett sure inherited a good voice all on her own not depending on her daddy's name to get anywhere. You don't have to have your name in lights to be good.
John Smith doesn't matter if anyone can do better..my ears hear what is good or not...I am not tone deaf!!!!.. I am a sound engineer and I can't help it if people can't sing.. it is just those who can't hear it that bothers me .. hey everyone wants to be something that they can't does not make it right for them to do it... I would love to be a great singer but |I know I am not.....put a famous name after my first name and everyone will think I can sing...
Nice looking woman...but her Grandfather was a way better performer and singer. Her Dad outshines her in singing and performing as well. Obviously making it on name alone.
it's gonna be 200 years later and there's still gna be a Williams singing his songs
I hope your right . Hank should NEVER EVER be forgotten . Hank done more for Country Music them any other artist before him are since his death .
Hank Williams kid the King of Country Music and always will be .
And they'll sounds better than the ibbrr jibber crap I am sure is going to come from the tide pod eating generation
There is something super special about Hank's Grandchildren singing his songs. Amazing he only lived to 29, and still managed to have such an impact. The legacy lives on!
Nobody will ever come close to Hank !!
A good gospel tune never dies they get better with age

She has her grandfathers "depth" in her voice ; he would be very proud of this lassie, greetings from Bonnie Scotland.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Titus 2:13
great minus the WOOO......WOOOO!!!....LOL
Well done Holly!
Not rude at all. Actually a complement. Constructive review. I know a thing or two about music production.........
Sirius brought me here. She has a great voice.
He cracked on Hank 👀

Sounds like Audrey Williams

strange no Tennessee accent .
I think Holly has got her grandpa old Hank sr beat on this song. Holly Williams is better on this song than her grandpa Hank Williams Sr was.
Mute the guy who cant carry a tune in a bucket.
why do people who have a famous parent or grandparent think they can sing ...sorry she is only riding on a name..
she has a great voice and just a different singing style any who CAN YOU DO IT BETTER?
I THINK MY DOG COULD
John Smith doesn't matter if anyone can do better..my ears hear what is good or not...I am not tone deaf!!!!.. I am a sound engineer and I can't help it if people can't sing.. it is just those who can't hear it that bothers me .. hey everyone wants to be something that they can't does not make it right for them to do it... simplesandy most of country and half of pop and rock lived off his name.
simplesandy
Not very impressed

MetismanInBC that doesn't mean she is not good. hank outshone a lot of people.
They're all talented, and blessed. We are all blessed to have been able to be around with the Williams' family.
You're probably good at singing other stuff. This our tune! Not your's
terrible......its just noise....no harmony...no rhythm
That song was done better by hank Williams
Sam Senter I didagree with you. I think Holly Williams is better on this song than her grandpa Hank Williams Sr was on this song and I like old Hank.
Well she's better than her Daddy!
Without demonic possession she wouldn't b able to play an sing but as hank jr sold his soul his seed was born to carry out his family tradition
lolol
