had the exact same thought. a trained service dog wouldnt be doing all that on duty, plus the fact that it doesnt even really listen when the guy tells it to keep going and instead jumps even more ... so annoying ppl r faking this stuff still

While service dogs wouldnt, an emotional support animal might. Differentiating or discriminating owners is the Problem. If the animal is needed there, let it go. Categories like "fake" will eventually just hurt people who dont deserve it.

I have and have trained service dogs for 20+ years now, have flown dozens of times with my dogs and NEVER EVER ONCE have or would they act like that. PERIOD. It is ALL BUSINESS ALL THE TIME - especially FUCKING ESPECIALLY on a flight.

That is NOT a service dog. The owner may have bought the vest but service animals do NOT act like that. When in the vest they are working and doing the jobs they are trained for. Either its in training and therefor should be wearing a training vest, or its not a service dog at all and the owner should be fined.

if the snow conditions are right, it will clump up into balls on a dogs fur coat as the dog plays in the snow. it can also make little balls of ice between the dogs toes. you have to watch for that because it can irritate and scratch the skin between their toes. Happy holidays to you from Utah, USA
Note the “if the snow conditions are right” part of the previous comment. While this does happen, it doesn’t *always* happen. We get snow where I’m at every winter, though I’ve never seen this happen personally. Not unheard of, but it doesn’t happen all the time
Yes, it does in certain conditions, I usually see it more on legs and it also can ball up in between the toes and causes pain, they
make a fur balm to help it not stick and build up and dog booties. I have 2 dogs, 1 has no issues, the other gets them once in a while and is a 100# baby about it. My neighbor’s Sheltie is a snow magnet.

I have a similar level of experience with horses as you, but I agree. Seeing that clip made me think that there wasn't much you'd have to do to make that picture fit in a children's book, with the horse already smiling softly and lovingly.
Certainly, anthropomorphization aside, the horse seemed relaxed and calm, and wasn't flinching when the kid moved quickly.
That's just a bite of 87 waiting to happen.
I think she has the expression most mammals get when they interact with babies.

Note about that swan near the end: I don't know about black swans, but European mute swans have hardened bones in their wings and can whack a dog hard enough to leave a nasty bruise (it's rumored but doubtful they can break bones). It's not the swan you need to be worried about there.
I'm sure this is true for black swans as well, but I would also say that the fact that black swans are a protected species in Australia means it's DEFINITELY not the swan you need to be worried about. The dog is in danger of bludgeoning; the owner is in danger of a fine or worse for not controlling their animal.
Akita are bred to take on bears and keep them in one spot until hunters could catch up, also, they do not give a sh!t about pain. Tough breed.

The toughest breed of dogs I know of is "the wiener sausage dog" aka. dachshund.
The stout and comparatively tiny breed seen lounging at home.
The name of that breed is not for show. "Dachs" is the german name for badger. On a walk if a hole in the ground even vaguely smells like an animal the dog wants to physically invade that hole and forcefully evict it's inhabitants.
It is like someone flipped a switch so sharp is the contrast.
The breed was bred to assist on hunts to evict badgers and foxes from hiding holes. And that breed of dog excelled at that task. They have fun doing it as well.
If you know of honey badgers you might have an idea of how big that task is ...
It's an urban myth. I've been (unintentionally) whacked by the wing of a Canada Goose (not quite the same of course) and it was like been touched by a feather duster.
When I was in primary school in germany, we often had swans at the nearby lake. A friend of mine came to close to one when they had chicks, the swan slapped my friend and her arm was broken. So yes they can break bones(at least the ones of kids)
