- Every Indian would be proud to see India's first 3D printed Post Office at Cambridge Layout, Bengaluru. A testament to our nation's innovation and progress, it also embodies the spirit of a self-reliant India. Compliments to those who have worked hard in ensuring the Post Office's completion.
The post office, which was virtually inaugurated by the Union minister from the General Post Office building, was completed in just 43 days - two days ahead of its deadline. Its construction was carried out by Larsen & Toubro Limited with technological support from IIT Madras under the guidance of Professor Manu Santhanam, Building Technology and Construction Management Division, Department of Civil Engineering.
The construction was also carried out at a cost of Rs 23 lakh, around 30-40 per cent less compared to the cost involved in conventional methods.

This isn't "Indian innovation", this is western innovation and technology, the 'printer' used to make this building is made in Denmark by a Danish company! At least be honest!
But there is startup from IIT chennai who help in this project as well 😊
@@DAILYTRAVELHACK Yup, I'm sure but the innovation of 3D printing itself was developed in the US, UK, Russia, and other European countries. The first 3D 'printed' buildings were in Europe and the US.
