Do you mean the line weight? Line weights are set in the pen sets. I’m not behind my computer right now but there’s a view setting to show true line weights or hairlines. It should always print true line weights by default, and show on the layouts. Note that it’s easier to work with hairlines else when you zoom in the lines look really chunky. Also make sure your scale is set realistically as this will effect the appearance of line weights (and font sizes) on plans /sections.
