They should not be sold and especially not for millions of dollars these were precious things to Jeff and it just bothers me that people would sell something that belonged to somebody that meant so much to them most of the people buying them don't even play guitar
@@JoeHernandez1210 most of the guitar shown here are ones that he rarely if ever even played live especially except for maybe a few of them his to Everyday guitars will probably never be sold
Thank you so much for this close up video. I didn’t count them but there seemed to be well over 12 guitars on view in your video which is great. The showing continues in UK during January leading up to the actual auction. It’s a joy to see this video, though it’s also mixed with such 3:29 end of an era sadness RIP Jeff ❤🙏
15:40 Look at the Pole Piece adjustment on that LP, especially on the bridge Pup, the one at 23:00 does not have that done to it and the B/Pup is higher but still low. Played character, Those Guitars saw and entertained the World. I'm looking at these like they are laying down on a table and wondering how they did that, get them to float. I see a clamp near the head stock and then it clicks, they are hanging on a wall. And then they show a background with Chairs.
Most of these guitars were not ones that he played very often maybe two or three of them most of his really special ones that he played often won't be sold
Most of these guitars were ones that he didn't really play very often except for maybe a few of them some of them probably never played live at all most of his regular guitars that he played all the time won't be sold
This video makes me feel very sad. The owner of these guitars died and left us behind. No one will ever be able to play those glorious sounds again. They're just junk guitars.
You know, that's how I feel. Even if I were a multimillionaire, I would not want any of these guitars for myself. And I've played guitar for about 40 years. It just would make no sense for me to spend $1 million on guitar that belong to somebody else. Even from a guitar player I idolize. And some of these guitars on their own are not worth but a few thousand dollars. Maybe close to 100 grand on some of the teles.
@@Teleman01yeah man I agree 100% it is extremely sad the silence and the fact that these guitars will be silent for eternity although that part I feel they should be. I've also been playing close to 40 years and I would never pay a million dollars for a guitar either way I don't care if God himself owned it that's just totally ridiculous to me I mean I've played 600.00 guitars some cheaper than that that played and sounded better than any 10,000 guitar I've ever played. Jeff was a total savage I mean he did things with a guitar that shouldn't even be possible one of the best if not the best ever. And what's even more sad is that people don't even realize what we lost when we lost him and the others like Ed because we'll never have players like that again true innovators that completely changed everything involving the electric guitar.
The Maccaferri G40 should not be for sale - breaks my heart to see this - that particular guitar should be given back to Jimmy Page! Not sold for profit
@@ItsFinished not really the point - did you ever see Beck interviewed and talk about how much the gift meant to him? It's an inexpensive guitar & It's about doing the right thing between guys that literally grew up together as youths through becoming international guitar legends
Most of these guitars except for a few of them were ones that he didn't play very often live some of them probably never... His main go to guitars that he played all the time will never be sold. It just disturbs me that people take things that were so special to somebody and sell them for these ridiculous prices I mean I've played guitar for 30 something years and I don't care who owned it could have been God himself I never pay a million dollars I'd never pay 100,000 not even half that I just think they shouldn't be sold except for maybe a couple of them the really junk ones that he probably never even played.
These guitars are historic and legendary. Played by a Legend Player. These guitars are going to break the bank.

Why are all those guitars so dirty? What happened, can't remember them being this dirty when the legend himself played them. Thx for the video btw 👍
I find it wild that the estimates on these guitars are a lot lower than we're on Mark Knopfler's guitars. That doesn't really make sense to me.
