    When I was 8 years old, I was home sick with the Mumps. I got up on a day that I was not in school and a newspaper was laid out on the kitchen table. When I sat down, I read this story and it frightened me terribly to think that a small boy could go missing like this.We had been to the Smokie Mountains just a month or two before and I empathized. I am 53 years old now but have never forgotten it.

    In Canoga Park, California ..sometime in the 1970's in a neighborhood my parents friends lived in. I was roller skating behind their house in an alley that Their back gate backed up to the house ..A child killer tried to coerce me to go with him when I was in think 9 yrs old or younger? I told him my parents are right there and pointed ..but deep down I knew I was in serious danger. And they couldn't save me. And in my mind I knew a grown man does not just show a child his Weiner. I knew it wasn't normal and I was in danger and I pointed to them. Again and a voice...whom I believe was God, told me I would not come back alive if I went with him and to run! but I couldn't because I had roller skates on. To this day, why he did not just grab tiny little me...and kidnap me. I cant explain. I believe and know a guardian angel, or divine intervention saved my life. for sure. I was spared. I placed one of those 32oz AM/PM thirst buster cups in a small lake and it drifted across the water so i tried to go get it. As i walked around the lake all these older biker type men were sitting under a tree and one of them came up to me and he kept talking really low so I would go closer. I would never take one of my small children to one of these wilderness parks, until they were much older. In the 80's they came out with this wrist thing, that looked like a telephone cord, which would attach to the child's wrist and the other end to the parent's or guardian's wrist and they called it a form of child abuse.. Yes he did. I felt that the ex Ranger was very careful with his wording, not to suggest that a hominoid creature was, and continues to, roam the Smokies and the US continent. The Keys were the KEY, but NOBODY was interested in their story even after Mr Keys offered to return to the park and the place he saw the bipedal, extremely large hairy man with a screaming child over his shoulder. The FBI and the Military already KNEW the Bigfoot were in the Smokies, which to this day are the best place to disappear in a Park in the US, especially the West Virginia side, or so I read. Poor Mr Martin stayed at the park for months and wasn't appraised of any new evidence that came about. He had no idea about the Keys until a reporter I believe, told him about them.That man had fought for his country and they let him down! I know that David Paulides interviewed Mr Martin a few years back and that Mr Martin told him that they no longer talked about what happened as it "destroyed them". As a mother and Grandma I feel enormous sympathy for the Martins, who were treated abysmally by their government. To know that a hairy monster took your child as a meal is one thing, but to know that the agencies that you believe are here to assist you actually are there but with another agenda is something else entirely. My prayers are with them!

      Maugrim76 The FBI agent who did maybe know commited suicide. Or so they claimed. Regardless, he is dead. He handled all the missing cases for the park. There are many. Till the remains are found, we may never know. Of note an iillegal ginseng hunter found remains, but more info than that remains elusive. I believe he wanted to remain quiet in fear of persecution of his illegal trade. Fed crime in the park.

    • @leannemo7382
      @leannemo7382 8 лет назад +4

      +Serpent 67 I agree. I think that ginseng hunter *did* find the boy's remains. He selfishly didn't report it because he was afraid of prosecution for his illegal hunting. The remains, according to him, were already scattered a bit, but the guy only came clean about it a few years later. Of course, by then, animals likely scattered the remains even further when searchers combed the area. Upon further analysis, it was noted that the area was close in proximity to the child's footprint they previously found by the river. In all likelihood, Dennis became lost and fell into the river or died from exposure. Otherwise, a desperate bear is quite possible, as it was a year they found emaciated bears due to lack of food. A predatory human is the least likely scenario based on where the family was located and the "prank" the boys were playing - which would've set up many kids to become disoriented within a forested area.

    • @ilovesteveclark6084
      @ilovesteveclark6084 3 года назад +4

      @Rebecca Swilling it wasn't a "bigfoot," it was a "Feral Man." They are among a group of families who chose to isolate themselves from society and began moving higher and higher into the mountains. Inbreeding along with isolation caused them to start digressing into primitive people. In the 30's, the town officials began offering the townsmen money to shoot and kill these Ferals because they were starting to climb down the mountain to raid farms, steal livestock, and attempt to kidnap women and children. All of sightings described them as very dirty, hairy, rough, large and strong. This is what has kidnapped Dennis and all the other children. Interesting fact: The disappearance of children had began in the 30's, which was when the sightings of Feral men began. They continue to exist, and that is why strange disappearances continue to increase. The National Park tries to downplay these disappearances and keep the feral mountain men a secret. Why? Because it would ruin the tourism business, the park would lose millions of dollars, and probably end up shutting down. The Government works with the FBI and Military to keep it secretive. When Dennis disappeared, that is why the Green Berets unexpectedly showed up, did not communicate with anyone else at all, and invaded the mountains. They were there to kill as many Ferals as they could. Dennis was never found. Also, the ferals know the mountains better than anyone, they've been born and raised there and that is all they know. They can easily travel much faster and know every inch of those mountains!

    Trenny Gibson 1976 and Dennis Martin 1969 similarities are:
    - Both disappeared within view of friends & family
    - No trace of either person was ever found.
    - Both disappeared in close proximity to the TN/SC state line that divides the park.
    - Heavy rains hit the area the night that each went missing.
    - Many people were present in the area at the time of each disappearance.
    - Other children were present in both cases.
    - Huge searches were initiated within minutes of each person getting out of sight.
    - The NPS and FBI refuse to admit that these could be abductions.
    - The FBI has refused to release files on either case.
    - Both cases occurred on or next to the Appalachian trail.
    Not a commonality to both but in the Dennis Martin case not only the FBI but the Green Berets showed up without any formal request for assistance.

    Too anyone that reads this, God bless you and best of luck.
    A tip of advice everyone should know is, always listen to your intuition. What I mean is, if your hiking alone or with a group of people, if you start to have a weird feeling your being watch, or have a sense of fear or dread. You turn around that moment and get the heck out there. That's your body picking up on something dangerous is near or your life is in danger. Could be a bear, a person whatever it is, you get outta that spot you were in and be very cautious as your hiking. Pay attention to your surrounding y'all and if something don't feel right, you get the heck out of there. I honestly believe these people going missing have that weird bad feeling of danger or being watched, they don't listen to it and keep going in direction they were walking, unfortunately something happens and they're missing . Even if you don't believe me, I'd rather be safe and just get outta there while I got a chance.

    A little advice I can give you guys to avoid being a missing 411 victim and tell people this also, because you can save a life by doing so. Be in group and never let your sight go of your group members and carry a weapon, gun preferably but a big knife and pepperspray if you can't get a gun, food and water plus a flaahlight. Make sure you pray for protection when going out in the woods. You ABSOLUTELY NEED to have your guard up when walking, stay on the lookout. Be like a rabbit or a bird, take a couple of steps , then stop for a moment and look around, use your hearing. Keep going and repeat. Animals do this behavior so they won't get ambushed and I strongly recommend you do it also. If you find yourself in a situation , where the forest gets Completely silent or you feel like your in danger or being watched, you Slowly back pedal your self out of that area. Get out of that area immediately. If your asking why I'm mentioned this part, it's because I've had a few weird experiences and others that experienced the same have given me this advice. Stay blessed y'all and have a good day or night.

    4.1+ million people go to Yosemite every year, and yet Yosemite is supposedly the largest cluster of missing people. No1 knows the exact number, but some say 1600 other say a lot less. Either way, it's not that many people compared to the amount of people who DON'T go missing in national parks. Out of millions of people, you're going to get people who go missing. You should look at the stats of people who go missing in New York alone, or even missing people in Tsunami's. Those numbers will blow your mind.

Marines are known to ‘hump’ 45-60 lbs. of weight for endurance and strength building for up to 2-4.5 hours at a time, rough and mountainous terrain included. If Dennis was unconscious for most of the trip, it wouldn’t even be particularly hard for a healthy, large male to accomplish. He could’ve potentially done in ONE hour if the terrain was in his favor.

    In a another 411 video, they said not to long after a kid was missing, in the same around the same area, a couple with a little boy was looking for wildlife to see and then the little boy says "look dad, there's a bear over there".. 'The dad looked over there and said "son that's not a bear. He didn't know what it was, but it was huge, hairy and bi-pedal and it was carrying something over it's shoulder, but it was too far away to see what it was carrying, but the father knew it was not a bear. The other thing alot of people don't realize is these bigfoot creatures move at an unbelievable speed, like a ninja, so seven miles running with a child on it's back could run that 7 miles very quickly. I was listening to one guy who is a hunter, who went hunting and encountered two bigfoot creatures, he felt threatened, so he shot one of them and this one was a female, because it had noticable breasts and was much smaller, the other one was much bigger with shoulder to shoulder width of 5 ft and he could tell it was a male by it's genital area.. and hands the size of a big baseball mitten. When he shot the one, the other one picked it up and climbed very fast up a straight up cliff, that would of been impossible for a man to do without rock climbing gear and this bigfoot was halling ass real fast straight up this cliff with no difficulty whatsoever and carrying the other bigfoot. I believe its bigfoot taking these children and adults as well in this area have come up missing with no bones or evdience to be found. I think these creatures may have a secret cave or are living underground or there is some kind of portal that they slip through somehow and people aren't looking close enough to find these places and when they do, they'll probably find the skeletons. I don't understand why these people don't put these hunters cameras up all in areas where the people have disappeared and if they did, they would get their answer to what it is doing it. I would go there myself and hunt for these missing people and find them, I know I could, because I'm very smart, but I think there are government people that are covering this all up and want it to be a secret. They don't want the public to know and I say this because that hunter was visited by government officials with government logo's on their vehicles and basically threatened this hunter that it would be in his best interest to not say anything to anyone! They also refused to tell him what government organization they were from. If someone invited me to hunt for these missing people and gave me powerful rifle, food, water, I would go with some others and I would find their remains most likely and I would want to kill these things, they live in a group, I know that. Because they are killing people, I would want to kill them or try to communicate with them with some kind of sign language, when I get up the guts too, if I could get up the guts to do it when I'm face to face with one. They do bleed just like us, their blood is red. They have superhuman strength, superhuman speed and are probably very intelligent to be able to elude people like they do. I know I could find these missing people, because I pay attention to alot of detail in my surroundings that others would ignore or not pay attention too. It would be cool if someone tryed to communicate with these creatures through body language to see what they would do or not do and that's never been done before. Over 10,000 people have seen these things and that's the one's that had the courage to speak up about it and not including the one's that were afraid of ridicule for telling their story. I don't know why its so hard for some people to believe in this creature, its just another animal that is being discovered in the wild and has been seen for alteast the last couple hundred years or more. Heck, just recently in the country of Greece, some guy had taken a picture of this knew aquatic animal that has never been seen before ever and has the body of a hippo and the snout of an alligator. It does not even have an animal name, because it was just discovered very recently and there are new animals being discovered all the time.

    If footprints were found, and a child was heard screaming, why would they discount such things, no matter the distance from the area where the child was first lost?
    If the parent(s), are ruled out as suspect, then the evidence beyond the location of going missing should have been combed over carefully, not discounted on the fly... Unless there was a motive for doing such...
