Hey up Dunk I agree with you. Sometimes these things have a habit of gathering their own pace. I would never read that shit rag that initially made the claim. I wouldn’t shed a tear if he went. I don’t want him to stay. Can you imagine how many goals a top finisher would have scored when Darwin has a conversion rate of around 1:8 we’d of won so many games scored so many more goals. Sell him please and buy a clinical finisher
Missing open goals for fun, cant control a ball, always offside, rash and chaotic, making Salah hate football, and now just being dramatic. All of that for 20 pl goals in two seasons. Get him sold ASAP.

My whole thing about Darwin (broken record, I know..) is that he could be a great wide forward, but not a striker. This story suggests that one of the very biggest clubs in world football, Barcelona, think he's such a good striker that he's a suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski, undoubtedly the very best striker in the world!.. hmmm, really?

I get what you're saying Dunk re Barca finding a way to finance a deal but Barca have to decrease their wages bill by about £100m a year I believe. I know they're trying to get the fees on Felix and cancelo down to make them permanent.

I’d give him another season personally. Think he’s one you could really regret letting go tbh. Even with all the misses he’s still our second biggest output this season in attack, if he becomes more clinical he’ll be up there with the best in world football. Just whether he does or not. At the same time we can’t wait forever, so one more year to prove himself.
I’d also add I haven’t heard anyone talk about who would replace him if he was sold and I’d be worried FSG would pocket the money or cheap out on a replacement.
I'm sure Slott will run the measure over Darwin and make an assessment as to whether he's redeemable as a front line player for LFC. Even if the money rolls in for Salah, Diaz and Darwin, they have to be replaced. With who? Better to stick, at the moment, with what we've got with a new coach and see what shakes out.

He is a conundrum, but he has had plenty of opportunity to show what he's capable of. If something decent comes in for him then i think we would accept it though. But if not then see what the next coach/manager can do with him

Personally I'd keep nunez for one more year as a squad player. He's been better off the bench this year (winning goals against newcastle and forest away) and if the manager doesn't like him or he wants more playing time he can do one 😂
I dont read or beleive the sun...but I think Nunez may be on his way along with Salah. I like Nunez but he cant ever say he hasnt been given a chance....

Nunez is a good maybe great striker, but i don't think he works in the prem, if he goes to la liga i would expect huge numbers from him again.

I know this is all speculation, but I get the feeling that even if Darwin was banging in goals for fun, his eyes would still be fixed on the likes of Barca. So it doesn't surprise me that he takes down LFC related content on his Instagram account and then is spotted with Araujo. Honestly, the last thing the new gaffer wants is all these distractions. Personally, I don't think Darwin has the ice-cold temperament and in-game IQ to be a top, top centre forward.
If Barca is serious about signing him, and they're ready to drop crazy money (which I doubt), then I'd suggest we sell him. But if Barca is hoping that he becomes a disruptive influence in our club by throwing his toys out of the pram, then I suggest we sell him, but not on his terms.
Diaz on the other hand, personally I've not been impressed. He looks good on the eye, but at the end of the day, you look back at a game and ask yourself, what exactly did he do? He's a lot of flicks and tricks, but little end product.
These two players have had overtures from Barca and knowing South Americans, that's like having Christmas every other day.
I want our new gaffer to come in and immediately have players on his side, not disruptive cry babies.
The problem with Nunez is how much is he worth as I don't see Barca offering more than £40-45 million as their skint and who do we replace him with as Elite strikers are like Unicons.
I would give Gakpo more minutes along with Danns and buy one forward to replace Diaz or Nunez.
Some players just aren’t a good fit. I think the club want more of a Firmino type player and would except an offer for Nunez. For me he’s just too erratic. Remember he only finishes 10% of goal scoring chances, that’s woeful.
If/when Salah goes I think Nunez will shine n score loads goals
I doubt it as he's too scatted gun and snatches at chances much like a Heskey never a natural goal scorer.

That would be a huge risk in changing so many players and is Gimenez that good as the Dutch league is a weak league.
I rate Isak and he'd be perfect alongside Salah and Jota.
Half of them are too old now the rest too expensive.
