Very sad day in Key West and South Florida. My favorite singer, Jimmy Buffett has died at the age of 76. R.I.P. Jimmy, we love 💕 you and your music 🎶 you will be missed.
He does! Although we were on the road yesterday and it were listening to his Margaritaville Sirius radio channel. It was nice to hear all his old songs too.
@richardyoutuber1845 This is the beach at Fort Zachary Taylor State Park. We also have a full video of our awesome adventure at this park so feel free to check it out!
@@PSAdventures The best memories you can ask for it was amazing skipping school to hit the Beach All day just to catch the school bus to get home LoL night life on Duval Street till 4am , just to name a few couldn't àsk for a better time
Kinda funny I remember every street in the entire town from stock Island to the Southern most point planning on returning can't wait to feel the Sand again
Oh no! We were wondering how bad this was going to be. On the satellite maps it looks HUGE. We were thinking the same thing. They should grind it up and use it for iodine or something! Maybe compost? Enjoy your trip in Mexico!
@@PSAdventures we are back now. It was amazing down there! They figured out how to catch it in Costa Maya with nets. It smells so bad in the areas that they pull it out. 😫
I bet! We went to Key Biscayne many years ago and it smelled awful with all of the seaweed on the beach. That's a great idea to catch it! I bet it would have a lot of good uses.
@@PSAdventures everything is better in key west. No rules, no clothes, just right. Its always 5 o' clock! Also, its in the part of the Bermuda triangle. I had the experiance of something strange there, believe me, you will know if it happens to you. Time will stand still. Its so uncanny. Only place I ever experienced it. You will freak.
We're not in Key West right now but from what we've heard it should be fine to visit! Idalia hit much further west so I think it was spared. Let us know what it looks like when you go! It's such a nice place to visit!
Oh wow! We heard the seaweed issue is going to really affect Florida when it arrives. We're not there at the moment but would really love to know if anyone can comment on that! We hope your trip goes smooth and the water looks good! 🌊
Thanks so much for your question! We're not sure which one is the closest but it looks like the area where there would be a number of hotels and bed and breakfasts are probably a 10 minute walk or so since Fort Zachary Taylor is set on the far corner of Key West. Enjoy if you go! 💓🌴
Hi! We actually saw a dog there on our last visit, so after some online research, it appears that dogs are allowed on a leash in the picnic and trail areas. So they wouldn't be allowed on the beach or in the water. But just to be sure that the rules haven't changed, you could try calling Fort Zachary to ask about their pet policy. 😃
This beach is great however to get there isn’t as easy as a quick drive. You can take a boat or a plane to get there but it isn’t free, so there is some extra time you need to spend just to get there.
Thanks so much for the comments Harley Anne! This is actually Fort Zachary Taylor but yes you had that right. You're thinking of Dry Tortugas which is a National Park that you have to take a boat to. We'd love to get out there sometime also! 😊
@@PSAdventures Yeah sorry I just remembered! I also went to this beach when I went it was pretty cool sadly the water wasn't very clear but still super cool!
I think the appeal is to be living that island life in town and being so close to the beaches, but we loved the beaches in Key West! Fort Zachary was our favorite. I guess each beach in Florida has its own personality though!
Yep, sharks are out there, just enjoying their lives. The ocean is their home. ❤️ We've never seen them near the beaches though because they're really not interested in us humans. But fish on the other hand... You can see sharks lurking in the marinas, just waiting for bait to be dropped into the waters. 😮
Thankfully we've never seen a shark close to shore in the Keys, but it's definitely possible! Did you know there could also be alligators and crocodiles in the Keys? What a wild place!
If you want to see sharks go out to the sand bars with the locals, when the tide changes 5-7ft nurse sharks will swim right by within a few ft. Don't wear shiny ankle bracelets though, you may get a close view of a blacktip.
Just got home from Key West last week. Love everything about this place, especially this beach! ❤
Woohoo! We're so happy to hear you had a great trip! We were just there a few weeks ago, but we're already looking forward to going back! 😆

Indeed, Jimmy will be so missed 😥 We've been listening to his channel all day ❤️

@@PSAdventures absolutely 👍 are you wasting away in Margaritaville? 🦜
I travel so many places via you guys! , thanks for letting all of us who watch your videos hitch a ride.!
Aww, you're awesome! We love creating adventures for you all!
We moved from Key West to Texas in 1997, I was 9. I’m now 37 and have only been back once. I want to go back home for my 40th birthday ♥️
Oh wow! It would be neat to go back and see how it's changed from what you remember from your childhood! 🥰
@@PSAdventures yes! My grandparents lived on Balido St and I lived on Ramona St in Stock Island… I honestly can’t wait to go back ♥️
That water looks amazing!
On a nice sunny day the water really looks like this! So clear and colorful! 🌊
Love you Paul and Sarah. I agree Fort ZT definitely rocks!
Thank you so much Sal!! Gotta love Fort Zachary! 🌴💓
We enjoyed the fort and beach. I had an amazing time snorkeling at the rocks. Key west is great
That's wonderful! So happy you enjoyed it! We love Key West so much ❤️
What is the name of the location?

Beautiful beach, I’m wondering how it looks this year.
Actually we were there again just a couple months ago and it was beautiful!! Clear warm waters with very little seaweed 💕
Miss key West so much grew up there and shouldn't have left
Oh wow, what wonderful memories you must have! 😄

That's so neat! It's fun to picture the routes we'd take to get from here to there. We often just wander and take different streets each time. 😆
@@PSAdventures absolutely just stay away from petronia street off Duval, very bad area and ruthless
Beautiful!
Thank you!! 💓
My favorite 😍
It's such a beautiful place! We always have to go to Fort Zachary multiple times when we go. 💓
Beautiful beach!
Fort Zachary Taylor is so nice! We'd love to go back sometime and hope it doesn't get hit too badly by the seaweed!
@@PSAdventures we were just in Mexico. Seaweed was bad there. They should use it for something.

Listen to Tribute song to Jimmy Buffett TIDE HIGH ON by songwriter Dennis Callahan❤
Yes 💗💗💗 We've been on a Buffett music spree, and just enjoying his love for life!
I had the opportunity to live right down the block in 1996 and she is correct it is absolutely the best beach in the continental United States
Wow, so cool! That must have been a great experience! 😃
Use2 live right there in the U.S.N., GREAT DIVING2😊
You lived in Key West?! That's wonderful! We could get used to that lifestyle... 😆 Yes I bet the diving is good. How far out did you have to go?
bol som tam....je to uzasne miesto..😍
Je to krásne miesto! Vďaka za sledovanie Peter! 😊
Been there done that 5 x. Best cuban coffee, conch salad, and key lime pie
Definitely have to agree on the coffee! We've perfected some good Cuban coffee but it still seems to taste so much better when we're in Key West! ☕️🌴🐓

There's really only 3 beaches unless you include a few private hotel beaches. Smathers, Higgs and Fort Zach.
There's a couple other little ones too. We were so surprised there weren't more but we love the ones that are there! 😊
We’ll be in the Keys in a couple of days. How’s everything faring since Idalia? I know Perry up north got hit bad.

You are very pretty.
Thank you! 🙂
What's commercial property going for square ft let me know...😅😅
😂 Right!? I'm sure it's not cheap. Prices on rentals have gotten high over the past few years! There's still some good deals in the off season.
They are paying $40,000 a month rent on Duval st. A place called Lucy's
Is this the one that only allows military members?
Hey there! Thankfully, this beautiful beach is open to the public. It's actually a state park.
@@PSAdventures nice. Thanks a bunch.
Best beach where sewage is drained to 😂
For real? We didn't see a pipe. The day we went it was very clear and the water was nice. That would be sad though!
Do they allowed pets?

Thanks for exposing our beach. Glad you can make a buck off of Florida's hidden gems then they get trashed by tourists
There are many beautiful places around the world. It's a great reminder to enjoy, but respect, the natural beauty of these places.
It’s a public park in a tourist town, not some hidden gem, are you high?
@@NovemXI it’s medical
There isn't one. You want a good beach go to st Pete
There are definitely better beaches elsewhere but this is the best one if you're in Key West! St. Pete's beach is beautiful! 😊
There are zero nice beaches in Key West. It is a 2 by 2 mile concrete jungle.

@@PSAdventures relative of mine lost his lower leg below the knee to a shark, off Alexandria in the Mediterranean sea, many years ago.
