I think people need to actually submit their own nominations for awards…maybe he or no one else submitted him for one? I heard about that a bit ago and that’s kind of my theory why
I truly think there is this unspoken rule that if is comic book or supernatural related it somehow means it isn’t “award worthy” or as serious as other shows. Iain in this show and Yusuf Gatewood as Vincent Griffith in the Vampire Diaries, I think are performances that didn’t get the attention they deserved because the shows were in these categories.
I just think its really cool and genius the way they gave AIDA a body/free will. She didn’t just magically “push” through her programming or something. She had to put her robot mind into the framework/alternate reality which is now free from her programming, then put that mind free from programming back into a physical human (inhuman) body in the other original world. I just think that’s such a cool and clever written way for that to happen, her overcoming her programming and becoming a real person with free will.
The scene where Radcliffe throws Fitz in is one of my favourites...like Fitz might have never had a father in the real world but I'd say Radcliffe was the closest he had to a father figure, who actually cared about him❤
I'm pretty sure I applauded when Radcliffe showed up to throw Fitz into that portal. I know some people were disappointed that Jemma couldn't get through to Fitz, but I love that moment for Radcliffe. Also, AIDA just snatching Fitz with Gordon's powers is still a jaw-dropping moment, doesn't matter if you know it's going to happen or not 😂
You should title your Final reaction to this show "AoS fan watches" to show your transformation into a true Agent of shield :) love how much you have loved this show just like the rest of us!
The parallels between daisy and mac in season 3×19 and this episode are really well done. I don't know if the writers did it intentionally but it shows The true difference between being mind controlled and brain washed.
What is interesting about Aida idea for a body is it is the robot version of dream walking that Wanda did with her variant. Aida just created a body in another universe first then jumped into it.
Love this episode. The scene with Tripp and Daisy always makes me smile. And the scene with Daisy and Mack divided fans into another civil war (which is gonna blow up in S5 btw). I know they needed Mack in the framework for the YoYo/Hope arc, but Daisy should have pushed his ass through the portal. So looking forward to the 2 part season finale, Agent Bennett ✌️😎
If I remember correctly from Jed & Mo(showrunners) Daisy couldn't just push Mack through the portal, he had to be willing to go through it. I know some people will say well what about HydraFitz? But if you remember the conversation earlier he had with Madame Hydra (after she's injured by Daisy) he wanted to go the other world with her and she said no. Mainly because she would not get that HydraFitz not yet anyway. So I see it as although Radcliffe pushed Fitz through the portal he technically wanted to go through it to be with Aida/Madame Hydra/Ophelia or attack the team. Mack's wasn't there mentally quite yet and didn't want to leave his daughter behind. It's the details in this show that makes it fun and interesting. Just when you think the show will zig it zags instead.
Also, Daisy is his friend. She should respect his wishes. He knew the truth and chose to stay. It's not like Fitz, who was fed lies his whole life and was nothing like his original self. Mack was just Mack, but happier. Daisy was a good friend, she was honest with him and respected his decisions.
I liked the fact that she didn’t push him tbh. It shows her undying loyalty and friendship that she respects his wishes enough to let him stay with his daughter (fake, yes but the feelings aren’t) and giving him that extra time with her before he had to leave.
It was definitely the right call for Daisy to not force Mack through the portal. If she had forced him into the portal it probably would have led to him hating her and leaving the team.
Couple of Into the Spiderverse references (before they happened lol): Coulson saying going through the portal was a "leap of faith" like Peter B. Parker, and Mack seeing his not-real daughter fade from existence as the world disintegrates (just like Miguel).
Bringing up that Jemma was in love with someone else last season, is interesting. If they fall in love with someone that isn't the other, they fall in love with a character that becomes a villain.
I’ve only seen 3 episodes but I’m gonna start it back up this next week so that I can try and continue double uploads still. But it’s been weeks off from the show which I haven’t done since ever on this show. I enjoyed the first 3 tho, there’s just sooo much new stuff that I don’t even know where it’ll go
@@JustGavinBennett Its a doocy in the beginning sure, but season 5 is a wild ride. I think it has the best straight up plot/story out of any full season.
You know, it’s interesting…my fiance and I watched the most recent Matrix movie yesterday and the Matrix reminds me a LOT of the Framework…there, getting killed in the Matrix kills you in the real world, and you have to be willing to leave to get out safely. I wonder if computer simulations in future movies and tv shows were conceptualized from the Matrix because the Framework is similar in many ways. But learning about it made more sense to me as to why Mack stayed and Daisy didn’t force him out. Plus, when you add a child in the mix, like they did with Trinity…it’s a strong familial bond that’s devastating for a human to break. Really hard to convince someone to leave with children in the mix.
@@Craigy2818 Who wouldn’t know, it’s like the biggest meme of this year with all these gross people doing that all the time lmfao. I can’t even look at 2 words the same anymore 😭
In the Framework, Hope is alive, but her Mother isn't, Aida fixed people's biggest regrets, that means that Mack's biggest regret was that Hope died and not her Mother 🤔🤔 That's a little effed up 😂😂
Not necessarily. AIDA fixed one regret, but never bothered to factor in whether the consequences of that change were something the person actually wanted. Like Melinda wishing she hadn't killed that girl doesn't mean she wished the girl had gone on to kill a bunch of students.

I've been saying this since like 2015... how the utter flying fuck did Iain never get any major awards for this role?
I think people need to actually submit their own nominations for awards…maybe he or no one else submitted him for one? I heard about that a bit ago and that’s kind of my theory why
Yeah it's absolutely criminal he didn't get any awards for his role as Fitz, he's easily my favorite character in the series.
His acting in 4x15, 4x21 and 5x14 are all ridiculous standout performances to me, which is all the more impressive with how high his baseline is.

Not to mention she gives herself powers to make sure she is almost as invisible as she was as a robot 😅
And it goes without saying that all of this is aided (pun not intended) by one of the most powerful in-universe artifacts, the Darkhold.

This episode was fantastic, and Fitz's realization of what he had done was so sad 😭😭. Awesome reaction as always!

15:12 "Edge him...🤔 I mean, what?"
😄😆😂🤣
While it appears that Gavin has quite the eclectic taste in videos, thankfully he isn't posting reactions to all of it.
"I don't want to live in a world without Hope."
"edge him" LMAOOO
Melinda May will actually be the type who does that. I'm dead. Hahahaha.
15:45 the special effects for this scene were so cool
The team did get a break, one break. It was in season 1 when Coulson ended up being in charge of project Tahiti.
Some of your comments during this episode made me go 👀👀👀 I won't spoil/hint at anything but will try to remind you in ... a few months 😬
ngl I've been waiting so long for these uploads! so much hype around this arc
What if I private it again right now and take it away
@@JustGavinBennett I would tear, but since I had to wait two hours for my uber eats and I'm just seeing ur comment back, I think I'm safe.

I’m in the Respect Mack’s Wishes camp. And I was there when this episode first aired.

If you think about it, they could have revived some characters with that.
Like taking the good ward or mack and made them a body in the real world.
