My wife and I just got back from Grand Junction for a wedding and we were so incredibly impressed with the CNM! The scenery there is top notch! We also visited Arches National Park on the same trip and I think I enjoyed the CNM more than Arches. Also, Grand Junction is a fantastic place! So many nice people there and the downtown area is awesome!
I'm from the UK and my favourite places on earth are the US National Parks. There is a spiritual dimension there, in the vast skies, deserts and mountains, that I have not experienced anywhere else. I've a new baby and I don't know when I will get to return. Your videos stir those memories in me of that beauty and sustain me in these difficult times. God bless you and your lovely family Randy.
We love Colorado National Monument. It is so underrated! This is great you explored it with a local guest/guide. I am with you Randy, let's not get too close to the edge. We are so glad you love it. The fact that it would be on your Top 10 tells a lot, Randy. Thank you for bringing back great memories. Have a great weekend you and your family!
Awesome! Those views of the Canyons are gorgeous. The music played at that one Overlook remind me of the music in The Lord of the Rings when the Eagles are taking Frodo away lol enjoy the bloopers also! Thanks for sharing
I love your videos, I can't stop watching them. Plan on taking a big road trip around the U.S. and I'm hitting all the National Parks and Monuments I possibly can.
Hello America's Park's😊😊, Colorado National Monument is one of my all time favorite National Monuments. I have drivin through Colorado several times and always made this beautiful place a day long stop on my way to Utah. I love Rim Rock Dr and all the scenic viewpoints, and staying away from Rocky edges 😊😊. Great video Randy👍👍. Really enjoyed the video. Looking forward to the next video.
Beautiful! Most beautiful views I've seen are the Hoodoos viewed from the Queen's Garden Trail in Bryce Canyon. Pretty impressive! The views there at Colorado National Monument are gorgeous! I'd love to visit.
fantastic! had not heard of this Park great history about the Ranger and Beautiful hikes. love that crazy long selfie stick and fun stuff at the end too thanks for taking us along
We visited Colorado National Monument in June 2019. Lots of wildflowers and beautiful scenery on my pictures. Thanks for the hike views. We didn't hike down so I enjoyed your hikes. Thanks for sharing.
@@AmericasParks One of the rim hikes had a lot of flowers. I could show you a video I made with them, but might not be appropriate to tell you here. And yes, they were gorgeous.
This is a gem of a national monument. I camped there a couple Septembers ago and it was a great visit. It's like a miniature Grand Canyon with easy accessibility and great vistas.
Randy, when we lived in Colorado, we failed to visit Colorado National Monument. Your video makes me so sorry we missed it. Thanks to your video, I get to see it today and thank you for taking me on a hike. Those really are some spectacular views you witnessed. I like that trail it looks really nice. THANK YOU FOR SHARING, . . . Mike

Stumbled across co national monument while on my way to Utah last June. Loved it so much I camped for three nights and hiked 40+ miles. I’m glad you did a video so that others who haven’t been can see how amazing it is !
This National Monument has been on my radar and I'm glad you made a video on it. Man that looks like my kind of hiking! I'll definitely need to plan a trip up there when the weather is better. All the overlooks and spires and stuff like that looked great. It definitely reminds me a little bit of Capitol Reef. Thanks for sharing another adventure with us. Enjoy the rest of your weekend brother.
Great video of a beautiful part of the NPS! With your wonderful input, my destination list continues to grow. Thank you for your dedication to these videos...especially with everything you have on your plate! BTW, I am really enjoying your Sermon Jams and Grace Quotes!
Thank you so much for such a well done video. I really appreciate how you show the road leading up to the park... really helps us older explorers understand what the drive will be like! also, thank you for clearly showing us the trail markers and which way to go. Great job!
Randy, I was here last summer, and among other things, including spectacular scenery, I saw my first desert bighorn [@ 1:37 in video] (relative of Dall sheep, Stone sheep and Rocky Mtn. bighorn). Back in '84, on my way back from Alaska, I saw a small herd of Stone sheep in the middle of Glacier Pkwy. between Jasper and Banff in Alberta, Canada.
Another great video. Some absolutely beautiful scenery. I'm anxious to go hiking again, although it's only been two week since my last hiking trip, but it's been single digits with wind-chill well below zero, and I just had lasik done. So these colder temps came at the right time, will be able to start hiking again next weekend, and it'll be a little bit warmer.
I can see why people rock climb there, looked an idea place. That was a WOW moment - what and view and what a drop, a very magical and spiritual experience there Randy, which the music suited really well. Always nice to end on a couple of blooper😂😂. Cheers Alan
Another great clip bud. We really enjoyed this park on our visit back in 2018. I have this area on my radar for summer next year as part of a big trip. I would like to take a hike at the National Conservation area next door to Colorado NM, McIinnis Canyon, which has a canyon full of Arches to see. Heading out to shoot a few clips early Monday morning!
Thank you Randy and Carl. The views in Colorado NM are absolutely Spectacular. The area is also so close to Arches NP. The drone video adds a lot to your videos Randy; it's the icing on the cake !!....God Bless you both... Robin :-)
@5:03...an incredible lesson. I am new to big hikes and have almost no climbing/mountaineering experience, so I very much appreciate the lesson from Karl ...on where to put your feet and how to progress along an area that is exposed. Thanks so much! Yes, after I left Karl in the western part of the state, I went east and hit Gunnison and Great Sand Dunes. It is indeed a beautiful state!! Enjoy your weekend!
One word beautifu, rain, wind, freeze thaw and time have made all the spectacular scenery there and other parts in the greater Southwest, we will visit the area nxrt fall for our 8th trip to greater Souithwest, Good job on the video, some ol the drone shots had you guys much closer to the edge than I would be comfortable with
That's sounds like a great trip you have lined up! And actually the shots near the ledge were not taken with a drone, but rather a 360 degree camera on a 10 foot selfie stick. Not for me either, but Karl is a world-class mountain climber - nothing for him! Take care!
Once again, another great video! That extended selfie stick with the 360 degree camera is pretty slick. Really cool the shots it can give you near ledges but also keeping you at a safe enough distance. I am surprised I don’t hear about this park more, especially since it is so accessible being right off the interstate. Maybe that is lack of knowledge on my part but I rarely, if ever, hear or see it mentioned. Glad you survived that wild pack of cats. Funny stuff right there.

I hope to be there some day :) A top views video would be pretty amazing :) Now I've seen you do some amazing activities while on your adventures and there was amount when Carl said we're going to check out Independent spire that I though you guys were going to rock climb. Great way to see the park with limited time. You'll exit on the East Entrance - Grand Junction. Believe the whole road is 23 miles. Take care!
Thank u so much! I can’t wait to see this beauty
Hi Randy, my wife liked my red America's Park sweatshirt so much that she asked me to buy her one which I did last night.
You are a good man, Martin! I know you will wear them well!
Can i use my annual pass for all national parks to get in to colorado national monument?
Absolutely! It's good for any site in the NPS!
Randy, does this monument have an entry fee?
Yes. I believe it’s $25 a vehicle. A parks pass will get you in free
If you plan to visit more than 4 Parks/year, the pass is the greatest investment you'll make!
@@AmericasParks Yes, I have the pass however it is about to expire so just did not want to get caught without one if fee was required. Guess I can always purchase at the entrance gate if expired. Thanks again Randy enjoy your videos.
@@robn.5932 Thanks, Rob! Enjoy your weekend!
