    The reason why Wheelock had this long flash duration in their LED strobes was a quality control issue as they tried to get the LED to flash at 20 ms but they messed up and did 200 ms and that's not good because the slower flash rate produces a lot of colors and cause a person to have epilepsy of a variance of luminance and brightness when they look at a Xenon strobe due to the eye constantly adjusting brightness of the switching processing of Xenon or slow LED flashlights
    They did fix this issue on the new Wheelock Eluxa strobes and surprisingly System Sensor got the new LED L-Series to flash like Xenon and produce a pure white flash

    • @dexterthewulf3637
      @dexterthewulf3637 Месяц назад

      So Wheelock basically has a longer flash with their strobes due to the fact that they couldn’t check that they added an extra 0 to their strobe duration?

    The only led fire alarm design i like is the newer est genesis models. Like the speaker strobe or 4 strobe ceiling mount tbh

    These LED strobes with a Xenon Strobe mixed in won't cause epilepsy when they're synchronized

    • @CraigBaker96837
      @CraigBaker96837 Месяц назад +1

      LEDs produce a different color of light (usually white with a blue-ish hue) in comparison to xenon tubes (pure white). Also, if a person looks at a device with a xenon flashtube that is surrounded by LEDs like those in the video (or vice versa), the LEDs will still be lit up after the xenon device flashes, thus causing a massive variance in illumination and brightness. These variances can, and likely will, cause a person with a photosensitivity (epilepsy, migraines, etc) to have a reaction.
      Newer codes require LED strobes to illuminate for 0.02 seconds or less to closely mimic the effect of a xenon flash.
