First time listening to the album, Stained caught my attention. Second and third and the fourth time, Overflow is my absolute favourite song of the year
I have not stopped listening to Stained since the album dropped. It has this 90's Roxette sort of vibe. It's crazy the way that Mike and Brad can find a vocalist's strengths, and reverse engineer them back through iconic era and genre stylings that reach for decades.
Emily's range is quite different and opens up a whole new path for the band to explore. I'm genuinely so excited for the future. So elated with LP's smashing return!
She is a very talented singer. This album shows her abilities and voice range.
Also, I appreciate that Emily showcased different aspects of her range in every song. No song was the same really. I already knew this about her from dead Sara, and this album didn't even showcase all she can do.
This song got so many vibes on Mike's solo stuff for me. It's one of the tracks that shows the experience of that time where he had Post Traumatic and all the other stuff going on.
Yeah, it reminds me of Lift Off, which is another favorite
The drum sample is from Led Zeppelin's "When the Levee Breaks". One of the most sampled beats in music.
12/10 - by far the best song on the album and one of the Top 10 all time best LP songs imo. That guitar solo alone has so much mojo that even Austin Powers would be jealous.

It reminds me a little of their album "A Thousand Suns", and at first I hated that album because it was so different, but it really grew on me. So I love "Overflow"

I will say this, this album is by far banger for a simple reason. Every song on the album reaches to someone at whatever point they are in life, era they listen to LP, everyone can just relate to it....and truly love that about LP and the true fanbase.

It's kind of similar to A Thousand Suns, but it takes a lot more influence from trip-hop, which they haven't delved into before.
It's a big combination of a lot of LP's previous styles and influences, but Mike's been a trip-hop head forever and a lot of that comes through in this one. Best of From Zero right here.

This one live was brutal, debut in México City.
This album is out there with A thousand suns in terms of experimental sounds. And the way Overflow stands out from the other tracks reminds me of Blackout
To me this is sort of in between "Robot Boy" and "Massive". Less chill and more hard-hitting than "Robot Boy", more chill and less hard-hitting than "Massive".
Maybe it feels like "waiting for the end"... but yes, it's different

I think the reason each song is different on this album is because it's to show the vocal range of Emily so we can know what to expect in the new albums they make onward

It's funny how people think this is something Linkin Park has done for the very first time whereas they've been doing this type of music since Minutes to Midnight (their third album) in 2006. People have just listened to Numb and In The End and think they know Linkin Park lol
I didn't originally like it. It was too different, kind of eerie. But it's grown on me to be maybe Top 3 from the album
