I got mine from Hertz( it was a used rental) it had 52k when I got it. 2014 s 2.5 I haven't had any problems... I get 40mpg going 70-75. At 85mpg I got 35 ish mpg. seats are great. the sound system has a lot of bass for a factory system.
Altimas are pretty reliable too. I have a 96 altima gxe with 240K miles and still running fine. That's why we bought another 2012 sentra 16 years later and then a 2014 Altima 18 years later. NISSAN FAMILY!
Impressive MPG 31.2! I am two weeks away from owning the 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 S for one year and I am only achieving 20.8 MPG, but its low because I live in Chicago where there is traffic all the time and I don't drive in the highway because there's nowhere for me to go to drive down the highway and I also have less than 2,700 miles on it. I do agree with the shaking The passenger seat belt on my car shakes on idle on a red light and I always find it annoying. Usually because the passenger that was sitting there didn't push the seat belt all the way back behind the passenger seat, so the metal part of the seat belt is stuck on the side of the car wall and it will just shake during idle, but I can easily push the seat belt back behind the passenger seat with no problems. Very nice review!
rulerofgames Thanks for the feedback and congrats on your new(ish) Nissan Altima! My dad is the primary driver of our Altima and does only 25 miles on the highway two-&-from work. The rest of his driving is primarily in the city. Cant believe the crazy low miles your car has! Best of luck with the rest of your ownership and hopefully your MPG will improve.
This is why I prefer imports over american cars any day, I'm in a Chevy cruze lease for just a little bit more I'll be done soon but the breaks are already going on it and squealing at only like 16000 miles don't know why I didn't go back to imports after my Honda had to be traded in, FYI jeeps suck and are extremely unreliable these days why is it still in your garage lol overall great review bro
ThinkOutsideTheCube FYI, another reviewer pointed out that there is a nozzle that washes the camera when it gets dirty and then some other mechanism that drys it. Pretty cool eh? ;-)
I just found a link about it. Apparently it comes bundled as part of the SL tech package. ;-) www.nissanclub.com/forums/2013-nissan-altima-discussion-2-5-3-5/393674-backup-camera-cleaning.html
So I'm not the only one who knows exactly when they bought there car. I bought my 2003 Saturn Ion Quad Coupe w/ CVT 2/18/2014 with 106,329 miles on it. Now has 113,500
I just got 2014 sv but mine has fog lights and mirrors have light on them but me to I was deciding between this and accord you do get more for your money with the altima and cost less
I know this car has been gone for a while now but I had the idle drop issue in my 2010 Altima, dealer replaced coolant temp sensor and it went away actually. Later came full transmission replacement which I have 400 miles on and it’s acting up. I can’t win
jOE Marchand I bought it used with 58k on it. Changed the fluid at 61k and it seemed to be a bit better, it was always hesitant until the stepper motor failed at 72,084 miles then it finally failed for good at 77,900
Great video! This came in handy since I"ll be using the Camry for college in the next couple months, which means my dad needs a new car, and we have been looking at an Altima. An SL with tech in this color is what we would prefer, I think, but reading the CVT issues on the forums makes us nervous. Have you noticed anything odd on this car?
I really have only heard bad things about CVTs with early build 2013 models. Just working out the kinks type deal. But knowing Nissan, if they know its a serious issue they'll just extend a warranty for the CVT. Example: Early build 2009 Cubes had CVT issues so all 2009 and 2010 Cubes had a warranty extensions of 10 years or 120,000 miles for the transmission.
I just bought a 2015 altima 2.5 s with 3000 miles on it. Seemed like a good deal until I started reading so many bad things about the CVT transmission? Have you had any trouble with yours?
We sold it in December with 43,000 miles on it and had no issues. Also remember you have a 5 year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty incase the CVT messes up.
Have you experience any brake squealing during random times? Also, has the engine been an excellent road trip kind of vehicle. Thanks! P.S. Love your vids
Max Lugo My 2014 Altima still have squealing. There are nothing wrong with brake pad and roter. I live in Florida and air very moisture. The deadlier tell me there are no way to fix the squealing noise. Please, let me know if you know how to fix this problem.
Do you guys happen to sell this car rn or maybe someone is using you car pictures in currently trying to buy a car that had the exact same picture as yours
AdriannnTRD Who said this was my last video on the car? It was one year old, people requested it, I filmed it. Hope off my case and let me run my channel.
ThinkOutsideTheCube I work at a dealership, and seeing so many issues at 24k makes me want to stay on the toyota band wagon. At 196k on my camry, I still have the original struts, mounts etc, other than dealing with replacing my battery and having a bad idle for 2 minutes, tires, one tear on the leather... Think ive had less of a headache than your dad already has.
If you think this is bad, you should go watch my video of the 2013 Fusion we had. There is no doubt Honda and Toyota make cars to last. A co-worker of mine has an 04 Accord EX 4 banger with 194k and has done nothing besides regular wear and tear maintenance. We purchased this Altima basically as a disposable car that was cheap up front and get's good MPG. There was nothing in the family sedan class back in early 2014 this well equipped for $21-$22,000
I wanted to hear more about the interior falling apart, or maybe a window regulator went out. Instead, the only thing that matters (to me), drivetrain and suspension, are poop at 24k. I dont even mind Nissans CVTs, they make a decent CVT, I wanted to root for newer Nissans :/.
Altimas are a nightmare after 100-150k, I see 12-13's bopping around with worn out struts already. Great great value, but thats Chryslers gig as well. If your going to set yourself up for Nissan ownership, do yourself a favor and a V6 for better reliability.
Both cars have advantages over each other accord has more power better pick up and better quality interior but I still prefer Altima as it offers push to start and roof at same price
Only an absolute fool would buy a Nissan when you could buy a Toyota for the same price. My GF made the mistake of buying a 13 Altima AC went out at 40ish K miles, check engine lights like crazy one being a $265 brake vacume sensor, AC went out a second time system is fully charged and not even the dealer can figure it out. Navigation mysteriously went out after a warranty repair at the dealer. Now it is locking in park. This guy does not sound like a car guy stay away from Nissan he should become a politician instead.
I can get 26-29 around town in my 08' V6 camry. Im not impressed with Altima real world mileage. The more Altima reviews I watch the more turned off I am to wanting one -_-

Nexty Goodson how's the car any issues?(hopefully not)
3 road trips and no issues at all.
I'm at 68k now. So I've had it for 16k
I drive a 2001 Honda Civic HX. It just turned 202K miles. Think I'll wait until I have a quarter million miles on it before getting a new Honda. 😁
I can't believe it's been a year already!
So will year two give us a 36 minute video?
i hope not
Altimas are pretty reliable too. I have a 96 altima gxe with 240K miles and still running fine. That's why we bought another 2012 sentra 16 years later and then a 2014 Altima 18 years later.
NISSAN FAMILY!
123chunhou before 2000 they were great but after 2000 is garbage cause they join with Renault
Had I been in the market for a car when you were all ready to sell, I would've bought it. It seems well cared for.

Great review. I really appreciate this video. Thank you! We just bought a 2014 Altima and can't wait to get her home!
How was it over the last 4 years??
xvxontherise dude I just got one 2013 starting to regret 😂😂😂😅😅😭😭😭 seems like everyone’s opinion is this is trash
@@XAGR-hn3qtupdate
I got my 2017 altima 3.5sr for under 22k. PS- you need to vaccum and shine up the interior/wheel
I am getting one next week 2014 60k miles for $8,000
Did you get it? Any problems with it?
Shadow Freak I got it not a single issue very fuel efficient no major issues honestly it’s just a reliable car if you take care of it
@@jrichieander6832 there's one with 53k miles, 2014 for around The same price idk if I should jump on it, Do you recommend as a beginner car?🤔🤔

I got 2014 Altima 2.5SV for 8,000 with only 47,000 miles!

We took our Jeep from Wisconsin to New York, and no problems at all. Shut the hell up.
I really like my altima sv here in the middle east
Can you do a review once your dad have 50,000 miles on his Altima?
If we still have it, sure thing.
ThinkOutsideTheCube FYI, another reviewer pointed out that there is a nozzle that washes the camera when it gets dirty and then some other mechanism that drys it. Pretty cool eh? ;-)
Our car doesn't have that, but it is a pretty nifty feature.

+victor bozzo it doesn't do a good job
The 2.5s and SV are the same in Canada. Except the Rims and Sunroof!
So I'm not the only one who knows exactly when they bought there car. I bought my 2003 Saturn Ion Quad Coupe w/ CVT 2/18/2014 with 106,329 miles on it. Now has 113,500

Thanks for the review, Theo Vonn!
I just got 2014 sv but mine has fog lights and mirrors have light on them but me to I was deciding between this and accord you do get more for your money with the altima and cost less
Do a review of the jeep in the garage
I see more of this gen on the road than the new
I'm thinking to get one as well. I wondering does it have reverse camera on the St model? thanks
+Thai Thuan SV model does have a backup camera

Used Altimas are a bargain. Got me a 2017 SV for $15,0000 with 39000 miles. 39mpg is great mileage for a midsize sedan.
Dan C I was thinking about buying one as well but I am scared for the reliability. What did u hear about it before u made ur purchase? Thank you
Also, 24k is a negligible amount of miles to be doing a follow up on, for an import that is.

Root for them as perfectly fine rental cars
Should I get this Alton's or the rogue
Well i'm glad i didn't get the Altima lol I love my 15' civic! (i was considering the altima before I even considered the civic)
Civic is a compact car...You should've got the Accord....
Savann Williams I had an accord... great car... wanted to switch things up. Mainlylooking to save gas.
my steering wheel has wear on it but I have very rough hands. the altimas steering wheel will become shiny :(. I have 102k miles on my 2014 2.5SL

NICE 1 Year Review | 2014 Nissan Altima 2.5 SV
great video
That seems to be another advantage over the Accord. Tons of people on the Accord Forums complain of the cheap paint, which chips easily.
Both cars have advantages over each other accord has more power better pick up and better quality interior but I still prefer Altima as it offers push to start and roof at same price
What color is?
Oh and my cruze only has 120 HP where as your civic and your dads altima would smoke my car lol imports rule that is all
I agree, the tan is just terrible. But my godmother had a '03 Altima that had cloth and it picked up everything.
who bus

God damn have you walked around that car enough??? Lol
Why not get exercise when showing dads car?

does this car need a new alternator?
I can get 26-29 around town in my 08' V6 camry. Im not impressed with Altima real world mileage. The more Altima reviews I watch the more turned off I am to wanting one -_-
AdriannnTRD Don't buy one then.

"The release for when you.......kidnap kids, stuff like that." 😂😂💀
New sparks, ( shacking )
My dad. Has that car
Cool

Gomer Pile talking?
That Ford Fusion was way better than that shitty ass nissan
There's nothing "high quality" about a nissan altima
Stop hating!!! I have a 2014 Nissan Altima. Gas saver!!!!
