Kjk and Jihyo have been working together for over 10 years and kjk has treated Jihyo as little sister! Of course, they are close, just like the closeness between all RM members. But this scene is to point out that Jihyo did not know kjk got positive until YJS told her. Refer to your examples quoted, I would like to say sth!
1. I remember the interview of kjk niece. Besides the riding, she also mentioned that the chance of SA dating is thin! When shippers saw this, they commented kjk niece was not close enough to know the real relationship of SA. But funny that shippers know!
2. The flight to New York: It was all about work. Jihyo and Kjk had their own working schedule! Coincidentally they took the same flight! Jihyo went to NY to do photo shooting for a magazine. Kjk went to receive Drama Fever Prize for RM. Jihyo stayed in NY with her crew in the whole shooting period! Kjk left NY the next day with his mom and flew to LA to meet Tiny to celebrate his birthday.
3. We all know the restaurant belongs to both Haha ana kjk. So it was to celebrate the opening of her two brothers,Haha and kjk restaurant.
4. Kjk changed his RUclips schedule in a hurry because he was invited to help promote Jihyo's drama! It is a business arrangement! Even Tving left comment asking fans to support the drama.
5. The friend you refer to must be Tiny. At that time Tiny was not familiar with Jihyo. Tiny wanted to know Jihyo so kjk arranged the gathering. It was just an ordinary social gathering.
I agree she is just introvert I can relate her because I am exactly her. I have a friend which is very close friend over 15 yr but till date I never called her first because that is just my nature so time to time she herself gives me a call and we talked for 2 to 3 hours. So it is just her nature it is not like that she is not close to them.

Jihyo took care of his mom while on flight, she drove for him and his niece, she appeared on his YT channel first(and yeah, never on Haha), she hanged out with his friends and became squad with them.
