Don't you think that had he transferred to a bigger school he would have been more of a 3rd or 4th round pick with his athleticism? This is exactly the kind of late round pick you want, it's a scratch off, let's hope it hits.
I watched a 40+ minute vid of his play, and it had me laughing so hard, he just mauled his assignment, either he had his player on the ground, just standing over him or pushed 10 yards out of the play or off the field. He looks pretty light on his feet, scored well on RAS , seems like a smart kid, well spoken, big heart and loyalty is important to him. Only saw the highlights, so there's that, he say's he plays nasty, gritty and hard.
He said something about Seattle when he came to visit, "It’s like God and man met together and just made a beautiful city", I have a good feeling about him, wish him luck.
GMAC = Great Midwest Athletic Conference. (FYI).
25 by the time the season starts for a rookie is crazy
Holy cow. Did t realize that
Usually that's 'too old', but with COVID basically giving guys an extra year of eligibility, meaning an extra year to develop in college if they want it, I ain't worried about players' ages too much as far as this draft goes.
This is a fun pick. It could be a home run, it could be a whiff or just a solid hit and it doesn’t matter. It’s worth the “risk” to find out.
I believe in him
This sounds like a great pick! Just needs to get use to NFL speed and strength
Brendon Nelson, how confident are you in the Seahawks Oline coach, to develop Michael Jerrell? Does the Seahawks Oline coach have a good track record, in developing talent with Seattle? I think the Eagles Oline coach could be the longest tenured at his position, and rightfully so. Thanks for the vid. Now on to the vids for the Seahawk UDFAs!
I hope this kid pans out. Would be nice not to have wasted a draft pick on a feel good story.
I watched most of these rookie evaluations and searched for LB Knight's games at UTEP. IDN what the team saw to draft him so high. A lot of passive aggressive play, when tackles are made it's 5+ yards down the field. I don't think you can blame UTEP, as a rotten team for his play. I watched most of at least 3 games and he was a total non-factor.
I usually love Schneider's trade downs, but this is one where we got the short end of it. We traded picks 102 and 235 for 121, 136, and 207. I think Jerrell would have been available at 235, and as for Knight, I think the Seahawks just got burned on the value of the trade and the value gotten from the pick. Would you have rather had Cedric Gray or Tyrice Knight and Nehemiah Pritchett?
We were a bit desperate in the draft for LB and G luckily G worked out perfectly in the draft but third LB does look super shaky. I was thinking this already before I saw your comment
@@upoceoi’m still taking the 2 players over 1
All I can say is that our new head coach first made his name as an LB coach/evaluator; if he sees something in this guy, he knows MUCH more about this position than I do, so (for now) I'll trust his judgement.
@@jasonanderson5980I agree with what you stated. I've seen tape and highlights on Knight and it's quite obvious that our new Head Coach sees things that others do not. I'm going to trust his instincts on what he sees in Knight. Coach has worked with players who many people would see as a bust or reach, and turn them into phenomenal players. He knows how to maximize players and get the best out of them! I think and believe that the Seahawks are going to be a very physical team!
