It was cold treating Sicknote like that, easily the most entertaining character with a host of accolades under his belt, actor, councillor, activist, DJ, foster parent to name a few. I think Sicknote was the true original as he was in the pilot movie too, why couldn't they just have had Sicknote retire and move away with Jean for a new life but no, for sensationalism he was killed in a generic explosion, we didn't even see Jean's reaction or ever hear from her again, Hallam's wife was around for a while after his death as was Marianne after Nick's death so why was Jean not around after Sicknote was killed? Disgraceful treatment of Mr Quigley. Annoyingly enough they treated Recall with similar disrespect killing him off 1 episode into the last ever series, but at least Recall got a funeral...
Griggs ordered the crews to be sent back in even when Coleman said they needed to rest, Griggs said the fire didn't so he got them ready to go back in. This scene followed.
It's disgraceful that Sicknote (the longest serving character) was not given an on-screen funeral and in episode 1 of series 13 everyone was acting like nothing happened and/or didn't seem to care. George mentioned him and Sally did when Coleman talked about the inquest. Sicknote deserved a funeral if they had to kill him off (which they shouldn't have) Does anyone know if Richard Walsh (Sicknote) quit or if he was axed?
@@RNC200711 Richard Walsh wanted to leave after S12. Honestly a shame as I liked his plotlines in S12 and would have liked to have seen more of him and his adopted son.
Joe and Sicknote died and were barely mentioned for the next season, Dan lived but resigned to travel the world offscreen after this, and Sally stayed.
It was cold when they killed Sicknote off. Apart from George he was the only other original from series 1

Marion stuck around for quite a bit long after Vaseline died

Why didn't they show the funerals of Sicknote and Joe?.

yes, it was the end of series 12, joe and sicknote were killed off.
They blamed DO Griggs for Sicknote and Joe's death. I cant remember him being in this scene.
Cant any firefighter retire in this show!!!!
I would have preferred that Sicknote had retired rather than be killed off in such a crappy way
Kevin didn't die either
And tony
Actually Hyper was the LF :)
was this the season finale?
I have this episode.
What happens next?.
Have Sicknote and Joe died in this clip?.
Who is the Leading Firefighter of Blue Watch?.
It was Rob, then Rob in 13, then sally
Has anyone got the aftermath of this (or rather, the beginning of Series 13)?
No aftermath, no funerals for Sicknote and Joe just business as usual with Sicknote and Joe barely mentioned. The watch doesn't seem to give a damn
Did all four die or just two?
Two. Joe and Sicknote.
