---Love this song-- when Brantley wrote this album, he was facing alot of his own demons-- so, many of these songs are personal to his own struggles and how he dealt with them -- and yes, you are right-- Alcoholism -- hes asking God to remove the taste, help him beat it-- God told him to come-- "just as you are"

All his songs he has written or Co written are chapters in his life the good the bad and the ugly. Yes he battles a addiction and has been sober for about 9 years now. He married his on and off girlfriend from high school and the have a son and daughter..He wrote a song when his son was born (The Man That Hung The Moon)...dive into this rabbit hole you won't be disappointed

Wow! That is deep. We all have our problems and our addictions be it drugs be it alcohol, be it even Food. Made me cry made me pray and I'm 74 and facing a big problem right now. Talking to God and turning your problem over to him and asking for strength to overcome. Thank you for this song. I really needed it. God bless you. Amen and so it is.

My grandson is in the Army at Ft. Bragg, NC. When we went to visit him we went to a Brantley Gilbert concert. He put on a great concert. The second half was mostly patriotic. Enjoying your reactions.

Thank you for the reaction to this song. I never heard it before, but I love it! In the last year my husband turned to Jesus to help overcome alcoholism. My son turned to Him to overcome drug addiction. They are both new creations in Christ. They went just as they were, but they didn’t stay that way.
