- We've been eyeing up this pit truck since the day we started hanging out with our homies James Deane and Piotr Więcek, aka the Worthouse drift team. Now they've finally given us the keys to it - and we have a few ideas on how we're going to ruin this thing. Namely with two doritos - and maybe a few other surprises.

This is super cool. Maybe a front bash bar with a rack built in for tire carry. Maybe another tire rack on top the cab? And perhaps a few tool boxes/spaces along side the bed? Light bar on top the cab would be cool for some night time matches too

Leave enough suspension so that it still wheelies. That's pretty cool. Unless the new motor is too heavy, then by all means, drop that bish.
It will nose wheelie if you put to much weight there. They already crash if you have 2 non Japanese sized guys and hit the brakes.

I don't know why but this project feels different from the others. Like, the whole excitement over something really simple that will just be used to do stupid things in brings back some sort of nostalgia from older times like when you guys first got shitcar and shartkart. Good ol' days...

Yeah, it's not just "here's a stupid idea." They're just trying to improve a pit vehicle that will actually be used. And Shartkart started as kind of ridiculous but ended up being an amazing idea. Makes me kind of want to get a miata just to turn it into a cart.
Dan just absolutely kills it on the fab work every time that bash bar looks awesome.

This is a comment because you asked for one, Dan. I am innnnnn for this build, kei trucks are rad and people need to learn more about tiny cars and how much fun they can be. (even without a rotary). Whoever decided that this should be a thing is my personal hero.

This build is going to be insane. I cannot wait to see it all fold out! The Hoonigan channels have very quickly become my favourites to watch from day to day over the last couple of years!

Dan in particular was an AMAZING addition to the hoonigan garage! I'd like to see him do some sort of fabrication tips and tricks series .
All in all I love all the channels, all the personalities and could only be happier filling out an application for employment with Hoonigan!

Currently in Japan and those little workhorses are everywhere, doing everything! Like I saw in one other comment, a row of KC Daylighters would look sick mounted to the front of the roof storage rack. Plus they'd come in handy for late nights at the track.

A Kei car build ... I will say I was hoping you would put a motorcycle engine in it. A rotary engine for such a small vehicle is questionable.
Kei cars have a government mandated size, engine displacement (660cc), and horsepower (64hp).
In Japan the Kei car market is very cutthroat, since it is a specialized market for Japan only, 30% of all cars are Kei cars, the market is saturated and every Kei car has to stand out.
Kei cars are a niche hit in America because we never and will never officially get them.
Where i come from they are common and they are called multicabs

Love it! We had a mitsubishi 3cyl 3 speed version of that at work that had a speed limiter at like 27mph. I remember after driving it around the first day we had a sit down and were told "if you remove the speed limiter you are fired".....

Dude that is going rip ! & there are some that added tracks . This mini truck is cool :) What if the bed had a setup to hold tools in a slidding compartment that works with a electric & it would be coming out the rear & the tires mounting on the sides in the bed . You get to keep your tools locked & walk up to them when your extended save space as well :)

Love the idea of a Drift ‘n Dump and the new channel. Would be cool if you guys could make the videos a little longer with some walkthroughs with the rotary daddy or danger dan on how they plan things or the fab/motor work. Other than that, keep up the badassery.
