I've bought a few Mini GT castings and so far i'm very pleased with their quality. The plastic insert is a great idea to keep each car safely in the box if you need to. The white 'Liberty Walk' Skyline and the Honda NSX with the 'Castrol' livery i'll definitely add to my Mini GT collection. But i want *that* black Lamborghini Aventador the most, fantastic details! Collected hotwheels for years and only just got into mini gt which introduced me to sparky models. Love gt3 racing so its opened a whole new world to me haha. Coming back now to watch these mini gt videos is great! (wish i watched them earlier)
I have seen 1/64 aventador that make this MiniGT look like a toy. Trust me, I have seen much, much better especially if you dwell deep... But the MiniGT version is not too shabby. LB works makes some nice aventadors but they are quite pricey and resin models
It depends on your opinion on what you want to buy. MiniGT is cheaper, has a metal base but with comparably less detail. LB costs twice as much, resin model but has much better detail. If you focus on detail, then I would go with LBworks or JEC.
I just got my first yesterday (Porsche gt3) and I came here to see how you handle the packaging. I have my cars in a multi unit thread box but like to hold on to my package cards. So I did the same with this one though it is much harder to save the cards like this than Hot Wheels which are very slim and small.
Nice aventador . Btw, I just bought mini gt lb works matte grey r35 and 2 civics type r. Really good detail n looks solid. But lining them up with kyosho (f40 gte, sls amg, murcielago), carisma (evo 6, sti 22b), tlv (galant and mark 2), the mini gt's looks a bit bigger in size (or is it just me?) altough they r all claimed in 1/64 scale. So im wondering, which brand has the true 64 scale? I think mini gt should install brembo caliper on slate grey civic type r. It'll look good with te37 rims. I really love looking at those te37 rims.
no the headlights are just stickers done very poorly. The wheels don't have brake calipers and the engine detail in the black, just a molded piece of plastic. But plus point is that they are affordable for most collectors but details are mediocre to what I have seen in this scale....
