Rip to Brian Dennehy, Ian Holm and Peter O’Tool who were all great in their respective roles in this movie. Also I’ve had this theory for a while now that Skinner killed Gustau to gain ownership of his restaurant that’s why Skinner felt threatened when it was revealed that Linguine was Gustau’s son and it would’ve been really easy for Skinner to kill Gustau since we see in Skinners office a picture of the two of them so it’s heavily implied that they not only knew each other but used to work with each other and as for the whole thing about Gustau dying because of Egos review? That was a cover story by Skinner to make himself look innocent. But anyway that’s just a theory I came up with so you can take it as you will, as far as the next review goes I honestly have no idea

Thank you, AniMat, for "cooking up a dish", in the form of a movie review, with your compliments on "Ratatouille". It's one of my favorite animated films for two aspects: second from Pixar, with "Toy Story 2" being my #1 favorite from the company, and second favorite from Brad Bird, with "The Iron Giant" being my #1 favorite from the rebellious filmmaker! They both prove that animation is a storytelling medium, NOT a genre for kids!

First of all, I absolutely ADORE this movie; Remy has more passion for cooking than the likes of Soma Yukihira, Vinesmoke Sanji, Lynn Loud Sr. and/or Rosa Casagrande have. I say this because he has two things in his non-existent belt that the aforementioned examples don't have, a drive towards experimenting with food and highly sensitive sense of taste and smell.
Sure, Soma from Food Wars experiments with HIS cooking...but he doesn't SEE the food in the same way Remy does.
Second of all, I know this movie is part of the list of media examples that tend to over-romanticize Paris as this glorious city. But...c'mon, who DOESN'T agree that the place looks gorgeous and the French have some of the best food out there (more so than us Americans, at times.)
Finally, I love Ego's speech about criticism; which is a mindset most people don't tend to look towards when making statements about things. They much prefer to tear something down in the most viciously verbal way possible. But Ego realizes that it's better to really give something a chance because you never know where the next big thing may come from

The story: 9/10 sure it has a bit of that liar reveal and dreams but it’s still a great movie.
The animation: 10/10 it uses some mix of realistic and cartoony designs and food looks great.
The characters: 8/10 great characters but some characters should have more screen time.

If Iron Giant had been a hit at the box-office with more marketing, Brad Bird almost certainly wouldn’t have joined Pixar, The Incredibles would be hand-drawn animated and would have been Warner Bros. Feature Animation’s final film and a box-office bomb and Ratatouille wouldn’t be an animated masterpiece of production continued under Jan Pinkava. So while it sucks that Iron Giant was a box-office bomb during its time of release, there is some good that came out of it if Brad Bird was able to make 2 of the greatest animated films of the 2000s decade.

I know this may sound harsh, but I am kind of glad The Iron Giant didn’t do well at the box-office box during its original release. If it had succeeded and had more marketing, I don’t think Ratatouille would be the acclaimed animated film it is still considered today considering Brad Bird would have never left Warner Bros. Feature Animation and Jan Pinkava would have still been the director and considering the troubles the film had during its production before Brad Bird took over and saved the film, without him, the film could have been similar to the previous film Cars, an average at best animated film short of the critical streak of the previous films. I know it sucks that Iron Giant flopped at the back box-office, but if it means that Ratatouille becomes one of Pixar’s best animated films with having a fan-made Tik-Tok musical dedicated to it made during the pandemic for the Broadway professionals that couldn’t perform during the summer with Broadway closed last year and a review by Schaffrillas Productions on how it’s Pixar’s Magnum Opus, then I wouldn’t have it any other way.

❤💖 Very ironically, I first saw this movie 🎥 when I graduated 🎓 elementary school and missed my elementary school 🏫 and have so much fond nostaglic memories ❤ in my elementary school and entering middle school. Oh God, middle school did not make a great first impression 🙄 when I enter it.
Outside of that, I got Ratatouille as my Christmas 🎄 present 🎁 back in Christmas 2007 next to my Nintendo DS and two video games Super Mario Bros and Pokémon Diamond 💎. Best Christmas presents 🎁 ever! I absolutely 💯♥❤💗💖💓💯♥❤ loved it! 😃😀😄😁😊😉 👍🏻 💖❤

This best Pixar film, in my opinion, I don't know why is so underrated other than overshadowed by Wall-E that is great with sci-fi nightmare-inducing and adorable.
In a request for animat watches is Wizard's Tale- Here comes the Grump, trust me because that movie is what animat's worst fever dream because is like If Super Mario and Cloudy have an unholy offspring than drank espresso every time

For any film from Pixar, I can easily say this one is a fan favorite for everyone. Like I remember how much it was a big hit when it was in theater and I remember playing the video game a lot, it was as good as the movie itself. Overall I just love how it can make cooking fun and even find the challenges to make something great even from the smallest of ingredients. It's always inspiring just to hear it say anyone can cook.

Seriously I know the animation is amazing but the story really needs some work in my opinion, don't hate or attack me it's just my opinion after how 2020 got started from an animal passing a virus off to a human
