I really admire that you dedicated so much to learning one language to a very good level and taking the remaining ones a little bit lighter, but still having some cool plans for them. I really like your mindset 💙
@@arinoyume 💙💙💙 Anyway good luck with all 3 languages :) I would love to see some speaking videos, including French :))) your accent is cute ^^ I discovered your channel today and I'm definitely staying 🥳
@@klaudiamultilingual thank you so much!! ☺ oh and i will definitely upload speaking videos in the future! including in french 🇫🇷 are you learning it???
@@arinoyume I'm trying to get back to French, but unfortunately it's a really slow process 😢😪 But maybe this year I will be able to regain some of the skills I had :))) looking forward to your speaking videos ^^
Thanks for the video! Something that bothers me with juggling multiple languages is the feeling that you could be using that time to focus on your main language instead of learning another one on a lower level. I suppose this has to do with mindset but its an issue!
Very interesting video! Thank you for your insights. It’s very inspiring. I’m currently studying Japanese at a still very beginner level. But since it’s just a hobby for me and I just do it for fun I’m very relaxed with it ☺️ It’s probably the same as it is for you with your Russian studies 😊. Although I’m very very far away from N1 level and what might come after that, I’m really curious after I watched your video. Especially the part where you talked about getting to a level where Japanese university students are, I’m really curious on how you’re planning to achieve that goal, especially when it comes to cultural and historical knowledge. How are you going to bridge that gap? Are there any courses you can take as a foreigner or specific books. Maybe you can make a separate video about that and elaborate a little bit more, if it’s not too much trouble for you. I’d really appreciate that. All the best to you 👋🏻
Might be a boring question but I'll still ask it. How many kanjis do you know? Thanks for the insights on russian though. Didnt know they have cursive letters.
hello!! thank you for your comment, and this is not a boring question at all! in fact, because i would like to know that myself, i will assess my kanji level via quizzes this year and probably film the process :))) and you're welcome about russian!
so excited to see you work towards these goals this year! your journey has been a source of motivation for me for years now so I'm so happy to see you reach all these milestones ☺️ good luck with all 2024 goals, I hope you will have the most amazing year 🥰
awwwww thank you so much that means the world to me!! i hope to make inspiring contents this year too!! wishing you the best motivation to continue studying the language(s) you love ❤️
Hi! Love this video, just like all your other videos ❤ I can watch your vlogs over and over for motivation! I had a question about what you said regarding your relationship with Japanese and then balancing that with other languages. I really liked how you described it - how you're still in your infatuation phase. I feel that way with my main language, too, but also like you, I have other languages I want to learn as well. How do you keep yourself motivated and/or disciplined to study your other languages when sometimes (at least in my experience) all I want to do is plunge myself into my main language?
Hello dear and thanks so much for your question and your support!! That is a very good question, and to be perfectly honest with you, i think i just go with the flow of my mood: when it concerns my 2 new languages, some days i am in the mood for russian more than chinese, or the other way around, or i'm in the mood for both at once. And in any case, japanese is ALWAYS here in my life, since i am constantly doing something in japanese (in fact, like i said, i'm even studying chinese using japanese): i read everyday, and watch tv, youtube or dramas in japanese every single day 😊 but I don't study actively everyday anymore, so that gives me space for my other two languages! BUT that is only the "short" answer and what came up to my mind just now, so i will have to gather my thoughts properly on this topic and i will probably discuss it in a weekly vlog 🥰!!
@@arinoyume Ah, thank you for the thoughtful reply. I think I am in the opposite situation compared to you! My main language I want to study (Korean) is much further behind than my other language (French), so my Korean is not to the point where I can easily read or listen to things yet, and I want to compensate by practicing as much as I can. Pretty much all of my learning for Korean seems active...perhaps I can find some resources in French for learning Korean, as you are doing with your languages. I look forward to your thoughts in a future vlog if you discuss it further! If not, will keep watching your channel either way. 💜💜 Your Murakami vlog was also great.
I must admit that this new HSK system is quite frustrating... I understand that previously having HSK6 was at ~B2 level and maybe the next stages were actually missing (although to be honest, B2 is quite a fluent level). However, now with this new system it is a bit they overdid it. The current HSK1 corresponds to the previous HSK3 (which is a bit sick), I have been studying very intensively for 8 months and I plan to take the exam, but practically everywhere the previous terminology is still used, so I suspect that I will take the HSK3 exam. However, it's strange to me that the number of words to be mastered is at the same level for the new HSK 1 and the old HSK 3. I don't know what the grammar or listening is like, anyway, it's a bit confusing for me.
That's also what i gathered when doing my research while i was setting my goals... even when there were only 6 levels to the HSK framework, it seems it was hard to grasp which level was which, but now that there are 9, it seems nobody really knows how to distinguish between the levels and their actual difficulty!!! 🥲🥲🥲 ngl that's not super reassuring to me, but the HSK levels are only a good indicator for me to organise my studies so i'll do my best to follow my own path with the language and not get bothered by this confusion too much 😅 thank you for your comment!!!
It's so pleasant to hear that you love russian and will continue to learning it ♥ Удачи!

I think you should put Russian on hold and learn Latin and then come back to Russian. If you master cases in Latin then Russian will be easier.
I’m all set, I have studied Latin up to intermediate level at school 🤓👍🏻
Learning cursive Cyrillic is a struggle for me - I find the Korean alphabet easier haha
it is really hard right!! so confusing sometimes!! btw i also liked hangul when i studied it a bit a few years ago 😊
