Thank you for such good content. I have been practising hydroponics at our house terrace for more than a year since now and have experienced the practical challenges involved. My goal is to help people have access to good produce and so want to setup a commercial farm. Starting with 2000 sq.ft atleast . As you suggested can you give some more methods and guidelines as to how to do an efficient market survey as to who will buy from me and what should I be growing.

Based on your prior videos it is obvious that you have had great success in hydroponics. In my country smaller scale hydroponic farming is rarely financially viable due to the vertically integrated nature of our food system, over regulation and start up costs for land & improvements. In your country I would think the opportunities for success are much better. Your advice on first securing your market/buyer is paramount. No market, no successful farm. Here buyers need large a large, reliable supply of product and it causes smaller farms to rely on only one or two customers. I’ve seen several small farms fail when one buyer cancels a contract, so a diversified market is critical. Please continue teaching hydroponics as I enjoy your videos and it truly is a better way to farm and provide safe healthy food for your family!

Thanks for a very long comment. i agree with you that most of the supermarket and other large consumers do need continuous supply of large quantities. For this kind of marketing small farms can organise into a guild or cooperative and increase their supply line. Alternatively we have devised a multiple cropping model where youn plant as many varities of crops as you can sell in local markets. The number of plants per crop can be based on relative demand of the local area. regarding nutirient variations you can easily have a multiple system which we designed where a single pump can supply to varied crops with pairs of solanoid switches which are normally shut. i do watch your videos regularly and learnt a lot from these with little modifications to suit our local conditions.

Agreed. But the views tell that Hindi is less viewed. People watch amateur videos with catchy headings and don’t like serious talk on RUclips.

It all depends on the system you want to install which in turn depends upon the type of crop you want to grow which obviously depends upon what you can sell.
