How nice to see the many flowering trees 🌸🌸🌸 along Roosevelt Island's boardwalk while also having a fantastic view of the city. Union Square really reminded me of a tulip field in the Netherlands, except the tulip fields around Amsterdam are as big as the sea. If you're visiting Europe again, consider traveling to Amsterdam during tulip season. The Keukenhof Tulip Festival always takes place from mid-March to mid-May and is the ideal time to watch the tulips bloom in Holland 🌷🌷🌷. Amsterdam has so much more to offer besides tulips and is one of the most interesting and beautiful cities in Europe. I wish you a good start into the new week and a fantastic spring🌸💖🌸.

Actually, I have plans to travel to Europe next month, but unfortunately I can't go to Amsterdam this time due to my schedule.😔

The ancient Tuscan recipe of Carabaccia was copied by French chefs who made their French Onion Soup from it.
Catherine de' Medici, niece of Lorenzo the Magnificent, married Henry of Valois, second son of Francis I, king of France in 1533.
Caterina was very greedy for certain dishes from her home, and it is logical to imagine that she also wanted to eat them at the French court.
Antonin Carème, defined as the best chef of all times, father of the "haute cousine", in his book “Le Maìtre d'hòtel français” (1822) writes: “the cooks of the second half of the eighteenth century had known the taste of Italian cuisine that Caterina of the Medici had introduced to the court of France".
Jean Orieux, a historian of our time, states in his book "Caterina de' Medici" published by Mondadori in 1986: "the Florentines themselves reformed the ancient French cuisine of medieval tradition".
If some historian can demonstrate that the "Soupe aux oignons" was invented before the "Carabaccia", only then could the Tuscans (and the Florentines in particular) accept that it is a French recipe.🌹
