@@CheeseyStudios rewatching your review, I’m pretty sure the new modules with this set are compatible with the old bases! So you might be able to place the cherry grove on top of the mineshaft from the old micro-worlds!

Thankfully, I do live close to the border, so if I pick this up I will be going to ‘merica. (Edit) oops, my mistake, it’s $119.99 cad, a great price imo
oh my god reading this before watching i was getting worried for the AUD price, bc lego has pulled that exact thing before for us. specifically recently with the r2-d2 set, 100 usd - 200 aud (the conversion should be less than 150 aud)
I love that they kept it game accurate, hiding a deep dark under the Icey mountains. It might not be intentional, but seeing as how ancient cities generate primarily under Cherry Groves and Icey Mountains, I thought that was great attention to detail.
I like how it includes other biomes not originally in the old micro sets. it would be cool to see if they would release more biomes in the 20-year anniversary.
I got my hands on that first micro scale Minecraft set as a kid and still have it displayed with my other Minecraft sets, and to this day I wish I had been able to get the other three they made back then before upgrading to minifig scale. As you can imagine, I already have this thing preordered, and I'm super excited to get my hands on it. Feels like probably the best design they could have done for the Minecraft 15th anniversary and 10th of Lego Minecraft. As always, awesome video! 💙
@@CheeseyStudios that’s exactly what I was thinking, like just the other day I was trying out using that piece in dark bluish gray for the bottom of a cauldron and it worked really well! It would just need a 2x2 round tile in the floor to hold it up so it isn’t so tall of a gap
Saw the crafting table set in a Lego store at the airport today! It was tempting to get but not a convenient purchase when traveling haha I still have all the original micro scale sets (and even their boxes) from when I was a kid, so this set is one I feel like I have to get sometime. Beautiful looking set!
After recently getting my hands on the original Forest Micro World... yeah, I'm very glad they scaled down the figures to 3 plates tall, even if it means they're a tiny bit cursed at times. Seeing the monstrous 7 plate tall Steve standing next to his block accurate house with a 4 plate tall doorway, was a little ridiculous lol. The new mobs fit into the world a lot better!
as someone who has all the micro sets and haven't bought a proper lego set (besides a couple poly bags) in over 6 years i might just pick this up, would love to see other ideas like maybe a bookshelf or enchanting table being the end or furnace being the nether maybe chest being a trial chamber or mansion,

I sincerely hope this isn't just a one off and that lego actually dabbles into microscale Minecraft again, I still have 3 of the 4 original sets (never got the End unfortunately) and they're quaint sets I still hold dear to my heart. I'm really hoping this is expanded on in future with things like a furnace for the Nether and it's new biomes the crimson and warped forests, basalt delta etc, maybe even and enchanting table for the End and the new End cities or so on. I absolutely loved the microscale sets then and I absolutely adore this throwback now, so I really hope this jumpstarts a trend of new microscale sets, I mean heck, how cool would it be if we get some that pay homage to some of the large scale sets like the fox lodge, mineshaft or pirate ship? I think that'd be awesome.
I've bought mine yesterday, such a great set, so fun to build and look at the little details and easter eggs. I think I might try to design a furnace with the nether in it like you said, should be fun
It looks incredibly cute with the tiny figures and quite detailed landscaping. Minecraft has had some great sets this year and I really don't mind seeing this one. It could be a good gateway set for people to start out with, or it could stand on it's own perfectly fine in a larger collection. Thanks for the video!
This set reminds me of the original minecraft sets, which I loved a lot. I had a few of them, and I'd love to recollect them someday if it isn't too expensive. It was really cool too as the micro-worlds could fit comfortably back into the box they came in.
Using the new villager print + a 1x1 snot brick with opposing studs on the side and 1x2 tiles for the arms over a regular 1x1 brick actually makes for a wonderful baby villager. I'd love to see you trying this build, cuz I think it captures very well the overall silouette of a villager.
@@CheeseyStudios Would be an honour having it recognized by such a skilled builder as you! But yea, it's a simple and easy way to make it fitting within any village. now I don't remember if the farm ones had the hat, but maybe a 2x2 jumper and 1x1 tiles in yellow can make a farmer hat just suitable for it lol

Thanks for reviewing this awesome set! I will definitely buy this on the release day! Once you're done with the entire Minecraft series, can you make all of the modules in the micro world style?
I really wish they would bring back the other mini Minecraft world, perhaps with new print. I never got one as a kid and really enjoy the size of it and everything. Question: Are you able to connect the old worlds to the new one? I see they use the same brick to connect with each other.
I think I said something similar on the last crafting table video, but Microsets are the best. Something so satisfying about the minimalist style being able to represent entire worlds at a fraction of the size
The original Micro World sets had axle-hole bricks around the bottom just like this. I like to think this was done to allow compatibility with those sets. If someone has all four Micro World sets, it would be really cool to see them combined with this one!
After you finish your LEGO Minecraft world you could always make a big version of this set but portraying your world inside. That might be a fun challenge because now you have to work with small pieces only.
More sets in this style would definitely be sick. A chest for more overworld biomes, a furnace for the underground, a respawn anchor for the Nether, an Ender Chest for the End, etc
Most of the Minecraft sets haven’t been doing it for me lately but this one is just great! As somebody who is really into micro building, I think this will make a fan addition to my collection. The set also has a lot of moc potential in my opinion and I may even design some costum biomes and characters to further flesh out this set. The microfigures were also a huge improvement from their 2014 counterparts, before I didn’t see much flaw in them but compared to the new ones they’re rather uncanny, funny how some new figures can change my opinion so quickly.
This looks like such a cool set! You are definitely right about having the nether inside of a furnace for a sequel. Maybe they could hide some netherite and lava underground
Would've been cool if they did that stuff they did back then where they gave you some images that could inspire you to take it apart and build something new
@@CheeseyStudios It baffles me that we still haven't seen them, even in one of the more expensive sets. If you wanted a new pair of arms for Steve you'd need to track down LEGO Dimensions Finn, believe he's the only minifig with the right colors
