  • I have a younger mentally disabled sister who honestly needs more professional care, seems like I am not the only one being taken advantage of by my family though.

Oooh first comment! Not the arsehole. I have lived with a mother who's disabled and she has forced me into being her full time 24/7 carer for about 12 years. That's all my 20s gone. Out the window, never to be relived again. I resent it out the wazooo. I have no education, no career and no family at 33.i will now have to start over when I'm probably too old to make much of a good life for myself at this point. Not long enough to save up enough money to have a comfortable life with some luxuries. I'm trying my best to leave and start over. Mum needs professional carers

I am sorry to hear that! But best of luck and hope you can let me know if any good news comes your way or progress towards the comfortable life you are striving for!

@@StoriesOfTheOtherWorld thanks alot. I have been isolated all these years and everyone in my life seems to be toxic so it's hard. I'm trying to do it myself and with the help of one person.
I've currently been in touch with the housing people but this particular woman isn't being of much help.
I will update on what goes on
