One night last Spring a baby racoon climbed up to the nest where DH2 was sleeping alone. If it had been a full grown racoon it could very well have gotten DH2 because it was before he/she had fledged. It instead began to crawl down which is when DH2 heard it and did a wing slap, but probably did not ever actually see it.

I live in Arizona, so I'm used to big lizards/amphibians. I didn't see the iguana in the video, only a small green thing. I don't think it had a chance against the eagle!

If this is an iguana, it is harmless to the eagles, because iguanas are exclusively herbivorous. However it can still attack the babies out of fear and instinct (lizards are prey animals to an eagle). Wow! this is the second time we have captured it on video!
