Mostly from what I see from your video, when the puller tool breaks from the dent surface, the adhesive fails mostly from the puller tool surface, resulting in leaving the adhesive on the dent. As a surface scientist, I would suggest firstly you need all surfaces to be clean and free of grease. As the failure is more often on the puller surface I would recommend that you clean its surface with alcohol or even better to roughen it with 240 wet and dry emery grit paper, then wash it with water and finally an alcohol rinse and dry with a tissue dab. That should enhance the adhesion on the puller material. Also with any adhesive bonding, the glue thickness needs to be as thin as possible. When it becomes too thick you will then get adhesive failure, which generally is weaker as it fractures through the glue rather than one of the other 2 surfaces. ie the puller surface or the paint surface. So my advice to you is when the adhesive has been applied to the puller, press it hard onto the dent to encourage a thinner glue line.
There is points I agree on, but why remove the parts that there is good adhesion, and drill a hole or two in the pulling connector for the hot glue to mushroom thru. Viewed a couple of other attempts from various sources. All of them do the same thing. As is here persistence paid off.
The way they designed of the tabs surface is bad. If they were designed with a kind of fish hook design where it would give the tab surface more gripping power. I think it would be more successful.
His first mistake was putting the dent remover in the center of the dent You want to work your way outside inward never start in the center.and just remember it will be a rinse and repeat cycle until dent is gone
I would recommend getting a Heat Gun or a Hair dryer and heat up each of the dens before you pull the dents. Metal has a memory once the metal heats up it will help with the dent removal.
Take to a professional?! They want an arm and a leg and to empty your pocket to do the job! No way, no chance! DIY or get a friend or his friend who knows the skills! This video was CLEAR to follow!! 💡✅✅💡
I have exactly the same kit & if you read & watch the instructions first the results are amazing We own a fiat Panda & a Landrover Discovery both had been subjected to collisions with Super Market Trollies and all 6 were pulled out successfully the only thing I did that they didn’t show was to warm the panels with a hair dryer I just thought correctly that a warmer panel would pull better & it did I was very happy with the results & for £9:99p it was well worth the money just remember to read the instructions & watch the video & use plenty of glue! I hope this helps & saves you money
We lived through the process with you, willing it to work, because you did keep trying one more time! I have suggested to my husband that he return the kit he bought from Aldi, although it was a bargain 🙂. Thank you for sharing this
I would apply the glue on the front of the pad a run it around to the back of the pad, also you cleaned the car panel but not the pad, this could be why the glue sticks to the car better than the pad.
I like tapping them out then sanding, filler and paint..of course depends on the size , small bullesye dents are best done like this..I think the slide hammer version is better. I've broke a few of these as they cant stand the strain of pulling to hard on a dent..Pro paintless removal isn't that expensive and they use tools that go behind the panels and do a very good job
Thanks so much for your vid . I’m an older Aussie lady and I bought this kit off our Aussie Amazon . It came today without any instructions. A little bit annoyed that it looks like it’s going to take a lot of effort to get any results. 😕But I thank you for your honest review 🙏and I’ll give it a go when I have time 👍
Good video I've just brought similar kit .I've watched lots of videos with guys who do this for a living and is a long process to get really good results. Given that they are using professional tools.
Eventually (3 more hours after this video) I think I did a decent enough job with it. Not perfect, but I was happy enough with the results. Thanks for checking out the video
WARNING IF USING THE HEAT GUN If you plan on using the hot glue gun, be careful. Yesterday I worked with it plugged into the normal 230V home electric socket for less than an hour and it casually EXPLODED in my hand. Luckily I didn't get burned (I just had a black stain on my hand were the end of the gun was), but when the cable exploded, it got ripped off the case while the other end was still plugged into the electric socket, so I was milimeters away from being electrocuted. I can't reach the manufacturer, so you will probably see me under various videos warning others. Stay safe
I'm more than sure that the glue gun was for 120 outlet use and not an increased 230 outlet where you may reside where the 230 is standard there but glad you're alright from that.
OK - I know this is old but I tried today and accidently left the glue gun on for about 25 mins unattended, and it was ULTRA HOT. the glue was BUBBLING! So I instantly applied it on the piece that has a screw end - and waited 10 mins for it to dry. It immediately oozed all around the part as it was soooo hot. Mate once it dried it was almost impossible to get it off! It pulled the dent out nicely, and I'm super happy. So I think you want to see the glue BUBBLING, crazy hot when it goes onto the bit - then quickly attach to the car. MEGA HOT. I'm using it on a decent dent on a F150 and up until now I had terrible results. Happy camper now
I think the key to removing these dents is - as you said - patience mate. I've seen the professional car PDR videos doing similar repairs and they say it takes up to 9-hours depending on the severity of the damage, and they use proper tools for the job.
I kept working on for a couple more days after the video and I think it turned out pretty decent; far from perfect but I was happy with the result overall
I've seen them use similar techniques on car shows like "wheeler dealers", so I think the principle is sound. This kit doesn't seem entirely effective though. Anyway good review.
After the video I kept doing that over and over for another hour or so...it turned out okay. Not perfect...but better than it was :) Thanks for watching
I like this different type of video, gadgets are fun too and useful. I look forward to touch up paint review, hopefully more successful. This dent remover was "ok" over all for what you paid for it.
Very interesting! They reckon it can take at least 10 attempts to fix dent! This dents were at the crease where the metal is folded at the seam! Very hard to fix without the pros? But for an average DIYer this is great 👍
First of all, you had to heat up the area first, Second this kind of machine and glue is just good for a little dent with no angle and has to be in the middle because in the middle metal is more flexible.
He meant let the glue cure as in what it's suppose to do become hard. Then try it... him putting on for a minute might need more time to harden/ cure. Let the chemical dry, cure...
I wonder if heating the surface with a blow dryer would have helped soften the metal a little making it easier to pull the dent out. On the other hand, maybe the hot surface would prevent the glue from curing.
Possible, but I didn't try it... anyway, overall I was pretty happy with the results. After I covered that scratch with paint and buffed out that area it looks pretty decent.
Made me cringe when you're applying the glue without gloves. I'm not one to critique because there have been many times I've foregone basic PPE, but I've paid the price! Heated glue can reach 200 degrees celcius... and it sticks...

Great suggestion!
If you heat the dent the glue will become soft.

If you let the tool do the job, by slowly using pressure and not just going at it until is pops off; you'd have better results.

Paintless dent removal, from the inside, might have got both perfect (aside from the scratch). Interesting vid.

Good tips! Well explained! Bravo he finally got it!! 😅🙂😊😊
Thanks for watching! I think it turned out pretty decent for doing it the first time :)
The problem propably is you need ro heat with hairdryer or something the surface. I was told at the shop i bought the kit so.
Possible… many ways of doing this
It was helpful to get me started... Better than the instructions manual. The comments are useful too.
Many really useful comments for sure!
Top dent needs a PDR push creasing tool.
What is a PDR push creasing tool? I could find what it is on Google.
Also what is a top dent?
Good luck with the way you are performed.

maybe that was my mistake, not waiting long enough

I watched a video that used a heat gun first to make the metal more plyable ?
some times running hot boiling water straight from the kettle over the dent can make the dent pop out, may be worth a try.
..... That's plastic, (Like the bumper).
Thank you for the infomation.
Hope it helps a bit

Used the same kit today, 1 heat up dent then apply the glue 2 i let it sit for 10 minutes , it wasn't perfect but most of the dent was gone,

I was hoping it will work better than it shows. I need to fix a dent on my car door as well. But looks like its a iffy proposition.

A lot of work, but it might eventually does the work
you have to clean the glue with alcohol read the instructions
I think when you use these you must turn so very very slow so that you pull metal without breaking the bond
First time I tried something like that 😃 eventually… after many hours it turned out pretty decent
Glue comes off before the dents out for me
I think this man speak polish he have the sexy polish acent i think
Find it sticks okay to the car but not the tab
I heard you need to soak tabs in alcohol for a few hours to clean them.
Should of tried it “one more time” 😂

You have to use a hair dryer or, preferably, a hot air gun on section of body where you'll be pulling. The difference is night and day.
I wish I would have known back than 😀 there have been a few comments saying that
You need too heat the area with a heat gun
