With staging, I imagine that they somehow make the stage into some sort of lake, him on a small stage above the water, soft blue lighting and maybe in the end a choir kicking in behind him for the backing vocals. That would be awesome.
The Netherlands has been playing an absolute blinder over the past 5 years and this song is so haunting. I would be very pleased to see this take the title on May 18th :-)

Arcade isn't really my music style BUT even without watching the clip there is soooo much emotion flowing during the whole song. as I like bending rules, I sacrifice the 2 points out of pity given for Croatia (by tearing off those angel wings) to redistribute them, and thus.... 12 points go both to the Netherlands and Iceland. It reminds me a bit of Choir of Young Believers - Hollow Talk (Intro music for Bron/Broen (or The Bridge in English)). The same kind of fragile vocals and stripped down accompaniment. This is so good and different for Eurovision. If Sweden doesn't give this 12 points I will migrate. 🇸🇪❤️🇳🇱
I don't know why we all feel the same sad and tingling emotion with this song. Maybe because sorrows and heartbreaks are universal emotions and we all can relate to Duncan and his song. The Netherlands is now part of my Top 5 which includes Italy, Norway, Switzerland and Spain. Listening to this song is very addictive. It's on a replay mode in my Spotify.
