I remember church sometimes would hsve more than one service and be there have the day and night to communicate and csmmunion food served at the tables after chuch where people connected it didn't always turn out good but atleast people delt with each other in thier own ways blessings
Reasons for church 1)fellowship with other believers 2)to worship God with others 3) to be taught God's word. The Holy Spirit dwells within every born again believer. Everywherre we go. The bible also commands in hebrews to "not forsqke the gathering of each othet as have some " . We are not meant to walk with Christ alone. But with others.
There is a difference between 1.) organizing corporate worship, which is a time for Believers to get together and fellowship, which is supported by scripture and 2.) the actual power of the Holy Spirit working in your life on a daily basis which is also supported by scripture. Both are important. Charleston White does not know scripture.
I don't know who Charleston White is, but he made some valid points that are true. I looked at the comments and of course the religious church is chiming in with their religious discourse and no real answers for change. They want to continue being religious and not relevant.
Where did he get his insight? It amazes me when a person has no desire for things of God to tell follower of Jesus Christ what is of God. SMH. Many people who talks ill will of the church either loves their sin or willfully denying to seek a relationship with and have lack of knowledge of God.
God IS the Beginning and the End. He can exist in all places at the same time. It is your mind that finds that difficult. You are missing the vastness of God. The Church does exist beyond the building, it should feed the hungry, cloth those without and house the homeless. Food Giveaway, Clothing Giveaway and our Church also has a Shelter.
Please read your BIBLE!!! LUKE 4:16 And He came to Nazareth where He had been brought up. And as his CUSTOM was He went into the Synagogue on the Sabbath day and stood up to read. Sounds like Jesus had a routine.....and He read the word, and He was the Word!!
Foolishness. The Spirit of God moves as He chooses. Worship is a responsibility, not a generational option. I do appreciate your commentary. As for routine, verse 16 dispels that. And if you continue and read it all, Luke 4:1-30, you'll know more about Jesus and how He approaches routine. Luke 4:13 And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season. 14 And Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee: and there went out a fame of him through all the region round about. 15 And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all. 16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.

When two or three is gathered in His name (Jesus Christ) He is in the midst. That's biblical, so it doesn't matter what man might say

I agree!
The traditions of men make the power of God null and void! He telling the truth!

That’s called religion, not relationship. What church does he go to?
