Sis V. I have started building in the rural 10 months now, and it has been financially and emotionally tiring. I thought I was the only one going through all those troubles since I am young and female. I have been paying double the amount for literally everything because I trusted some people. I was explored to the core. I wanted to give up at some point because I am hardly home in SA to do everything myself. My friend told me hore ho thata ho haha motse and I should be patient and that's the only reason I am still hanging in there
Ms V, you are touching the nerve, especially when I remember that I was working and living in Jo'burg and trying to build a house upcountry/rural KwaZulu at the same time. Personally I had to give up as I lost so much in resources; let alone trying to commute between KZN and Jo'burg. Now I am retired and have started from scratch. It is not nice at all. Your content is 👌
My husband and I nearly gave up too because it was one problem after another. We decided to visit our homestead every two weeks so that our presence can be felt and things got better. We are hoping people won’t take advantage of the fact we are away from country. Good luck with everything and I am happy you are working on your homestead. Let’s share information. 🙏🏾❤️
Hi Vee. Im so sorry for the challenges you had to endure. We love our villages but people can take advantage of you not being ever present in your house. We love you cc ❤
This is so true cc, I have no clue what is going on with our people. Mina I always say many of us in SA we need to undergo de-worming process. Perhaps by doing so immunity will recover to think, do and produce positivity.
Very powerful video. I always view your videos as not real estate land kind of videos but more spiritual and motivational. Happiness and contentment along with the connection to our higher power is hugely important. Thanks so much and continue with the powerful videos (we are so lucky) !!
Thank you so much. Yes, my content is about inspiring and motivating others. I try hard to be the living example of what others may like to achieve and don’t know how. I love and appreciate you. 🙏🏾❤️
Wow sis V, so sweet of your son to wash the car, I am so proud of you for not giving up on maintaining and growing your homestead despite the challenges. Both your homes are beautiful I love the animal care ❤️Thanks for sharing, I'd love to hear your take on building while living abroad
I understand your frustration cc,I too have a livestock farm and the house in the city,we just need trustworthy and experienced employees to hv a peace of mind
You are very Good when coming to Interior Decoration. I really like it keep it up Girl we are learning a lot from you ❤❤❤ Yes we need to face our challenges and try to achieve that big dreams of balancing our City life and rural areas, its true its not easy but lets all push forward ❤🙏❤
I enjoy this blog, sisi. We are also facing similar issues as siblings, a rural family homestead, and lives in the urban/city context. Balance is a challenge, thanks for the insights.
Hi Velile, thank you so much for the information and advises. We also went through the same with our lives stock ended up selling everything because we are in the city and we've decided to go next year to settle in the rural.
Hi Ms Vee, please share your homestead location or Isigodi... I am interested on building my wife and children a home in rural areas. We both don't have a place called home. My plan is to join you on this journey. Thank you
I am enjoying that lifestyle, except for the stress of theft from family you relied on, workers and farm neighbours buying your things stolen by your worker/family residing at the farm.
They once stole my generator and the people they were trying to sell to reported them and we got it back. Sometimes there are good people and bad people. 🙏🏾❤️
I think it happens all over the world , if you become more successful than your family members.😢😢 The green-eyed monster (jealousy) knows no boundaries. However, Africa has a bigger problem, because it has bigger challenges.
