What kind of tent is that ? I can't find one like it anywhere . I love the vestibule , the floor space that's great for 2 people . Thanks Chris ! It's also waterproof and stands up to strong wind .

I live two minutes away from here and know people who have stolen things from the castle/grounds and have taken them back because of the curse. There’s a room inside filled with returned item for the same reason. It really is an unsettling place. Amazing at the same time.

That guy was so understanding. You put him in a very tough position. If he lets you stay he could get fired, if he gets the police involved you're fooked. Also letting someone camp there sets a precedent for the future. As you say it all worked out ok though. Maybe you should have got his name and at the least sent him a thank you card for helping you out.
Yeah I'd be writing a nice letter to the owner thanking him and the security guy.

I went on a ghost tour at Chillingham Castle approx 4 weeks ago. Where you camped is where they used to hang their prisoners. I've been cracking up at this episode.
it definitely sounded like someone choking or could have been wild boar but i doubt there are any there.

I think someone from the castle was messing with you for daring to camp. It was probably someone who saw you on the ghost hunt. I personally would have sat outside in the dark and scared them. Having said that the woman who greeted us on a school trip in the 70s disappeared from the castle and it turned out she was not a member of staff. Spooky eh?

Well done Mandingos good show. You was camped under one of the Yew hanging trees. They used to hang people who trespassed and poached the grounds. It is not uncommon to hear moans from ghosts of the dying in that wood. The bodies were left to decay hanging on the trees as a deterrent. No way would I camp there on my own. Good thing you brought along Mick the muscle from Brussels with you. More spooky places please. Camo net over the tent is a good idea.

Blot I live with the woods on my back garden and some of the weird noises that I hear on a regular basis at night r mainly foxes,deer and badgers and sound very human, saying that if I was in a tent in the woods hearing them next to me I would shit myself as well.

Excellent video lads! I've been there a couple times and things have happened, did u know that where you were camped they used to hang the witches back in the day? When I've been there I've been taking photos and felt something on my shoulder trying to push me through the trap door in the dungeons, another time I've been in the woods next to a lake and on way back I heard footsteps behind us sounding like kicking leaves and loads interfence on my gopro and also in the dungeon when looking near a the dummy thing on the table there was something behind it looking at me , I saw the figure , I put it on a comment on your fb page earlier , it's defo an eerie place , also twice I've drove from there and got damage to my car , going back for a youtube video soon
My car broke down when i drove through the main gate..had to get towed back to the Lakes!!!

I only came across this channel last night, and iv ended up watching a handful of your videos which have been quite fun, and I didn't think I'd find myself commenting on any of them, but I can't resist having to leave a response here, and say that sorry guys, but I think you played this scenario wrong!
I have to agree with this commenter and say, you're not a lone voice, because to be fair, I also think the boys should have moved on. I'm sure if the guy that caught them wanted to, he could of put them in a worse situation and called the police, so from the fact he gave them the nice option of just moving, they should of took it. I also felt abit sorry and embarrassed for the guy who was just trying to nicely move them along, but instead put him in an unnecessary awkward situation.
What I didn't really understand or I was frustrated with, was that everytime the guy asked them to move, that the repeated response every time was to say they can't go to the van because they've been drinking, (which I think was irrelevant,) because at the end of the day they didn't need to go back to the van, (and he also wasn't suggesting for them to do so) they could of just walked and moved to a different spot. Or that's what I would of done! So it didn't make sence to keep responding by making it seem as if their only choice was to go to the van. 🤷

Way back in 1997, i was part of a group making a ghost tour for the American market - was supposed to be going on a DVD at the time, we were allowed to camp in the gardens legit. We had dinner in the main castle hall and met the Lord and Lady of Chillingham who were down to earth and told us stories about the castle more than the guides, we had free run of the entire place except the private residence of the Lord and Lady, but i also got a tour of their kitchen because i was cheeky enough to ask for a biscuit during coffee. It was a brillaint weekend.
