Sub £1500 price point will temp people who had previously found Doxa overpriced, chuck in your standard and easily obtainable 10% discount and these are a decent pick for the price 👌
It’s nice Doxa are making more compact versions of their divers. But they were already very compact lug to lug. So not really necessary, but it’s good to have a choice.
Nice overview. I would point out that the rice-grain watch band lets water under the band drain out and evapourate faster than rubber. They can also be difficult to adjust; I have the steel band on my DivingStar limited edition with 24-hour hand, but the band to my original orange Doxa Sub 750 T from about 2005 was impossible to remove links from, so I replaced it with a bright orange Nato strap. It looks Bold, and I can adjust it in the gym as my wrist swells up from lifting. Both watches keep excellent time, and the Lume is very bright and long lasting. --Old Guy
It's a very sensible step following the popularity of the SUB 200C collection. The iconic SUB 300 design always wore a tad large for a lot of people and this way they open up to a new crowd.
Looks awesome but WHY does doxa insist on the flared out bracelet? It’s such a clunky and awkward design choice. Not the biggest deal I suppose as you could just change the band but it’s something that has bothered me about the brand for years. Especially since I do like the vintage look of a beads of rice + cushion case combo.
What do you think of the price? After all the caliber is "just" a Sellita. Plus if you take an additional strap or bracelet, you pay +460/500€!!! Ouch!!!
Just marketing BS, with the 300T styling the dial is going to be tiny and difficult to read even with Doxas high contrast designs. Doxa have almost round cases so the 42.5mm will look great on most wrists, but the numbers put off the fashionable... go try them on at your dealer dont make the mistake and get this one. The 600 has a 40mm case and a bigger dial face if you have a really small wrist.
I tried the green one on the beads of rice bracelet yesterday as they had them in a day early in my local jewellers. It fit really nice on my 7 inch wrist. I am picking this one up as it just wears a lot nicer than the larger ones I tried. But then again, I do like a more compact watch for most occasions so it will obviously be personal preference as always. But I can confirm that I had absolutely no problem reading the dial. The model I did have a major problem with was with the 300b with the black dial. For some reason Doxa decided to put black hands on a black dial on a lot of the colours making it nearly impossible to see anything except the minute hand. They absolutely didn’t think that one through all.

I did NOT see that one coming. I wonder if the size was keeping a lot of people away from the 300.
Yep! With current trend of going smaller this hopefully will find more buyers

Maybe some soy boys with 6 inch wrists. A regular sized man can handle the 300.
What happened with the rolex buyout and his energy?
*The challenge is the smaller dial, given the amount of 39mm acreage given to the case. Underwater a large dial is ALWAYS better.*

Do they improve LUME game ?
My two Doxas have excellent Lume, but they are both about 15 to 20 years old. I mention this above. --Old Guy
How does the dial (only) compare to the larger (42.5,,) sub 300? Is it smaller and by how much?
Yes it's smaller as the proportions have been reduced throughout the whole case. We don't know the exact dial dimensions though.
What is the effective lug to lug?
@@khole15 it’s 41.50mm
@@Monochrome-watches Wow, those are great specs, want one!
is it an odd strap size ? like 19mm ?
It should be illegal to make 19mm
It’s 18mm

The straps and bracelets are pricey, yes! For the rest, we see no issue in the price. It's positioned below the SUB 300 which uses a similar movement.
Nice that Doxa finally came out with a woman's watch. That is what this is, right?
What's it like being clueless about the watch world?
The 300 already wears really small for its size (like a 38 / 39). This will be borderline unreadable.
obese people mad that watches are trending smaller XD
Nice colorways but way overpriced for the brand and design. Tons of homages.
Doxa being an homage to something else, or something else being an homage to Doxa?
€1550!?
Depending on where you live (VAT and all), something like that yes. They're listed at EUR 1,550 on FKM rubber and EUR 1,590 on the BoR bracelet.
Not a fan at all, look like very cheap with this golden hands.
Than you'll be happy to learn the regular colours are availble too ;)
38 hrs power reserve😂 WTF.
Sellita standard, although they're slowly increasing that to 41 hours. It's one of the areas Sellita could (and should) improve in!

Overpriced, good luck Doxa
38 hrs for a modern day watch is an ez pass.
who cares? takes 2 seconds to set a watch.
That doesn't bother me in the least.
Not having a watch winder is an ez pass.
I rather have 38hrs and higher beat rate
Hard pass
It looks horrible pairing it with that blue dress shirt. Bad choice.
We didn't have a wetsuit at hand ;)
