I think when the family want's to shed the western culture and put on their ancestors mind, change will come. Getting people to understand their enemies taught them can be a challenge.
Your speaking correct orientation. "Knowing how did we got to where we are now" is why we must do the knowledge on ourselves. "And how can we move forward.." once we know where "we" came from "we" can see where "we" is headed and then correct/ direct our course as needed.✊🏾

Just completed watching the presentation and subscribed to the Black Secret Education course on the strength of Mr. Walker's explanation of the relationship between history, self-knowledge and picking the right team to move forward. Quality thinking and action.
This is the history that should be taught in public education. I challenge everyone to go to your k-12 school boards and request that it be taught to our kids.

I disagree with this strategy. Depending on a mostly qwhyte teaching force is still leaving the education in the hands of a potential enemy.
Reduce the risk and own and control your educational centers within the community. Ensure that they have resources for the disabled and hold the. Accountable.
Education is meant to give you the skills and information to crete change in your environment. Our focus has to be on changing from a position of asking what we are allowed to do to one of telling ( or just being Gs about it) what we gon do.
It's past time for Autonomy to be the operative word. Just my opinion.

Thanks. Beautiful, educational, inspiring and a motivational presentation propelling us not only to embrace our history, but to share it until the colonizer's lies are totally d8smantled. But coming from Africa I do believe that Egypt was Black, and so were the Pharoahs. Scientific DNA found in a mummified Pharoah proved to be a Pharaoh's.

Ok, what makes me mad about Hapi Talks; Im kinda new to Hapi Talks. I have been blessed with a job where i can listen to audio content uninterrupted for hours. Hapi has interviews with people ive seen on youtube and i became interested in before i ever herd of Hapi Talks. So after i get excited from the interviews. I check the date of the video and it wae a year or two ago. IM SO LATE. i cant catch up so ill just keep tuned in. Hotep family!

I have to respectfully disagree with Robin Walker about there not being blacks in medieval Egypt. Most of the Fatimid rulers of Medieval Egypt were blacks beginning with Caliph al-Mustansir who's mother was a black Nubian woman by the name of al-Sayyida Rasad, who ruled as co-ruler along with her son. This monarch along with his mother uplifted the status of blacks in Egypt that they received high positions in the Fatimid empire.. For example the chief physician of Egypt Ali ibn Ridwan was a black man (Aswad) This is documented in Ibn Abi usaibia Lives of the physicians. The rulers after Caliph al-Mustansir were also of black African ancestry as Muhammad al Idrisi has confirm on his chapter about Nubia.
You make a very important point. Arab scholars are equally important sources, not just European and will likely enrich our understanding more if we have children who speak and read Arabic who are willing to translate and contribute. Even with the hiccup, what Dr. Walker has added with his teams is phenomenal and others can continue to build on his work. Reconstructing a people's history is a multi-generational effort. There's a grave misunderstanding between FBA and non-FBA. I believe it intentionally instigated. We know of Malcolm X heritage and others, and love and respect them, as well our UK brothers, whom Tariq Nasheed always gives thanks and love too.
The misunderstanding comes from the rhetoric being thrown around from both sides and it has to stop.

Black history and the "African diaspora" aren't synonymous! Both are histories of 2 totally different continents! Black refers to Black American history! Africans are and have always identified with the nationalities and tribal origins! Stop trying to blur the lines of history.
Great content & eduction! In relation to FBA foundational black Americans I fully support the movement because they acknowledge the true nonFBA ally’s. It is important for FBA to make the American government pay up specifically to FBA’s only for the work their forefathers put in. FBA is a lineage which should have been protected & supported by all.
