Nobody knows which university he went to to be given responsibilities of being a president of a developing country like Kenya. No wonder we never knew whether we moving forward, backward or standing still economically during his reign. NOW we have a PHD holder to steer our country forward.

I hope one of these days you'll educate Kenyans and help us understand the Chinese debt and how that is connected to the rise of poverty in the country, COVID besides. What use is the Chinese- built railway system currently, to suffering Kenyans, and how much money was thrown away as a result? And mind you, the country still owes China big time. We pray for President William Ruto and all the elected leaders as they tackle the huge task facing them. God bless Keny❤✌

  • @ericmwenda6197
    @ericmwenda6197 Год назад +2

I am a supporter of the current president William Ruto, however I have come to sympathise with the immediate former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
We can't put all the blame concerning this country's economic challenges to the former president Uhuru .
Our president loves Kenya and loves his ethnic community the Agikuyu. Unfortunately he was socialised differently. Whatever he did to them, he has always meant well, but unfortunately he was not understood, his "love" language was nor at par with them and most Kenyans.
He did what he thought its what Kenyans need.
Politics aside, There's nothing as frustrating as for a man to do his best, with the best intentions, only to be met with opposition, hatred, insult, ridicule etc from the people you really believed you love. They take it so casually as if nothing you have done.
And for those who don't know, showing love to Kenyans is very tricky, they will never appreciate you until you completely exit the stage and they miss you.
We saw it with the late president Moi, the late President Hon Mwai Kibaki, and now Uhuru in their last terms.
May God bless our leaders who served us before. Very few appreciate that these men put their personal lives and their immediate family members in line while serving the nation.
I believe that being a president of Kenya is more demanding than being the same in say US. Here in Kenya, Kenyans live with very unrealistic expectations from their president. They expect everything to turn out successful overnight.
To make the matters worse, we are a developing country, with very unique challenges csmpared to developed countries. The president indeed need to have both heart and brains to absolve some shocks he may encounter while serving these great people and nation of Kenya.

Uhuru feels entitled and thinks he knows whats good for Kenya and everyone should follow. people keep asking about Uhurus advisors and blaming them. No. Uhuru never listened to anybody but himself. Remember when he was told by Kangata that the ground had changed and Kangata was removed from being jubilee secretary general. Because Uhuru never wanted to hear the truth. On BBI, Uhuru felt he could still play politicis of succession by introducing BBI and during a time when there was covid which added more harships to Kenyans. Pretty much people were not even talking about changing the constitution they thought that part was already taken care of years ago and now it was time for economic liberation which Ruto took advantage of.
In peoples minds BBI was about dishing out positions to the politcal elites and there was nothing in it for them, Spending billions of tax payers money on a lost cause whilst Kenyans were not interested in another political circus but were concerned about the standard of living like jobs and the high cost of living?
Uhuru lived in a bubble. In statehouse. You hardly ever saw Uhuru traversing the country. he was always isolated in statehouse with his buddies like Murathe having drinking sessions.
The Biggest dejection came when Kikuyus by over 80% voted for ruto and this will eat him up till the day he leaves this earth. Even in his own backyard ruto got 80% of the votes a total rejection of Uhuru.

I hold a different opinion with alot of respect to your views and other Kenyans views.
Uhuru kenyatta had the best interest of kenya at heart.
However, calamities beyond him inflicted his government.
For instance a 4 year drought,covid19 and the war in Ukraine.
The first term was characterised by corruption. We are know who was at the centre of it.ofcourse he was untouchable as you and I know there was a second term envisaged.
Thats why the president tried the principled incorruptible martha karua.
