Tbh I'm perfectly fine with Degenbrecher powercreeping. What I don't like is how uncreative her skill is. It is literally Ch'en S3 but like 10x better, and it makes Irene S3 almost irrelevant. They could've at least been a bit more creative with her skill design.

Man, being a carbon copy of Irene and Ch’en’s skills, while having auto recovery, while having the best of both skills with I-frames and hitting aerial, *while* having the better CC *WHILE* also dealing like 25-30% more damage than them and scaling better in any situation is incredibly disappointing. Wishadel is really strong powercreep, but Degen bothers me more with her lazy kit design. At least Zuo Le who has better Hellagur S2 also has a unique S3 and a nice approach to the Musha archetype.

Yeah, that is not even a competition Degen powercrep both of them She's aoe, does more damage than both of them ,her gimmick of making enemies unable to attack is more useful than levitate or questionable sp battery And her s3 is auto recovery, only chen can compare in this thanks to her tallent with module making her s3 recharge in 45 seconds
Genuinely hate how uncreative Degen is, just damage, steals the 2 niches Irene and Ch'en had with aerial and I-frames respectively, and stops enemies from attacking, just cause. Meanwhile, she also gets to be the only one that has auto recovery in her entire archetype. This has to be the most easy pick banner in my life, Zuo Le and Shu are my targets cause their kits are at least creative even if busted.
Degen is the most boring design for a 6* operator in at least a year. They removed the archetype weakness and gave her skills that spot on the previous characters. Unless Irene gets a new module, she’s a straight downgrade to Degen. Art design is pretty but they did Irene especially dirty. At least Ch’en has the sp recovery niche.
Relistically, I doubt that Even if Irene some how got 80 atk base stats module (the highest amount for Swordmaster rn, which belong to ch'en module) and they upgrade her talent to 75% def ignore... it would still not enough Again 0 def enimies : Irene deal 28350 dmg, while Degen deal 36834 dmg, more than 8kdmg different Again 1500 def enemies (which is realy high already), ... Degen still win, Irene deal 22987 dmg while Degen deal 23222 dmg Enemies with higher stats than this tend to have greater weight, so less dmg for Irene This is not factor others unities Degen has and how easy she can be set up So in conclusion, Irene is just dead Edit : forgot the 10% dmg bonus in the 1500 def part

In difficulty 15, if your name is not Mlynar, enemies will murder you by the sheer stats boost, so an OP that have to constantly putting herself in danger like Irene will never get those skill. Oh you talking about dmg potention ? Degen deal 50% more total dmg than her. Yes, it is 50%, that one and a half of Irene, while also scaling much more than her with buff, has untargetable during s3 unlike Irene, has disarm so she can keep herself save, all while having auto regen so she is less risky to use. You seem to not understand just how impactful auto-regen is, and how atk-recovery hurt an OP

They are highly spammable and have the most damage potential out of everything. I've +15'd both IS3 and IS4, how about you go actually play IS before you start talking because you talk like someone who hasn't touched it past IS2. Walter would have been alright if she didn't hit air, still beyond broken, meanwhile Degen is just straight up uncreative bland numbers with everything that made the previous Swordmasters interesting
if you lack meta operators or really like her design sure, but if not it’s better to save up for limited banners cuz nowadays almost every new operator can hit big numbers (plus there’s still a chance to get her in the limited banner)
There's so many good ops in a row that you'll really have to decide. Degen is EZ mode delete meta, but not super unique or fun Ray is somewhat-finicky boss-sniper/cross-map sniper, meta, unique, fun, but a bit hard to use Shu and Zuo Le, Shu is meta and has both easy and harder uses but really nice period. Zuo Le is fairly strong skill spam, kinda like Degen but a bit less OP and a bit more unique Ela is the new standard for what a fast sniper should be, high DpS, high total damage, minor CC, not affected too much by low-med armor. Not fundamentally super unique though. She'll be hard to pull later since it's a collab limited banner, might be a long time before we see them again. Ascalon is pretty unique and has useful CC effects but is not nearly as strong as the rest here. Less replacable than the more generic ones though. Those two you might want to skip if you're low on pulls though, because next is: Wis and Logos, well LOL better hard pull for both really. Logos sets the new standard for casters while providing the strongest arts output combo with Qiubai S3, and Wis is, well, Wis.
