I literally never played any Kid Icarus games, the first time I found out how cool the characters were was thanks to Smash. And now this video is making me love them even more
This game is pure Nintendo oddball awesomeness. It starts off being a proper reboot, then there's space pirates, alien invasion, a coup of Palutena's domain, all with the complete demolition of the fourth wall and a lot of snarky humor. I really do hope they make another one for Switch. Hopefully the controls won't be as hard to get used to; i didn't have a problem with them, but i feel like a lot of people were turned off by this game simply because the control scheme was unconventional.
Jenni Locke I never had a problem either, and the game is such a gem. It was much more engrossing than I imagined as well. I sunk too many hours into it, and the characters are so full of life.
I was actually fine with the controls. They worked out fine for me especially the unconventional controls made it shine in my opinion. The main problem with them was that it always got straining for the hands and you would actually due to this actually have to take a break while playing.
This game actually has a really amazing story, great use of its characters, amazing voice actors and really good animation for a title on the 3DS. Really makes me wanna pick it back up again, I quit the game shortly after meeting Magnus because I found it so hard to control. But seeing this really makes me wanna pick it back up and learn how to control it properly just so I can experience this for myself hahaha.

Maybe after all the Smash DLC is done and Sakurai takes a well-deserved vacation. There should be plenty of time before a new console after the Switch comes out. Maybe he could devote some of that time to remaster this game and MAYBE make a sequel.

They didn’t mention any specifics and Kid Icarus would need a little more for the controls and dialogue, but I feel like it’s the most obvious choice that could benefit from being on the switch. I know Sakurai recently stated he had no plans for a project at the moment, but maybe within a year it could change. I doubt he’ll work on DLC for the next 3-4 years. Who knows he could come out during E3 or next E3 and surprise us.

Well, for once Zelda runs circles around Kid Icarus in sales. No contest, even said remake of Ocarina of Time alone outsells the entirety of the Kid Icarus franchise. OF COURSE they would invest the hell out their pockets in the bigger and more profitable franchise, it's almost egregious to compare the two in that regard. Second, this game was released in 2011. That IS NOT exactly old(not even 8 years). Ocarina of Time was released in 1998, which is nearly 20 years at this point(yes, it's that old) so the time frame is significantly different.(I could even point out how Twilight Princess and Wind Waker got remakes because their console of origin, the Gamecube, wasn't supported by the then current gen AKA the Wii U, while Kid Icarus is on the 3DS, a console that is STILL getting support, but that would be silly)

It's similar but, I don't think Pit had a crush on Palutena at all, unlike the relationship Fin and PB have where Finn has a big crush on PB and PB just sees him as her faithful white knight that doesn't get recognized beyond that. Palutena is sort of like a motherly figure to Pit in most cases, and he enjoys fighting for her. Pit is the commanding officer of her army, her white knight in shining armor, and she is his gracious goddess and it is his pleasure to fight for her. They both appreciate each other with an equal amount of acknowledgement.

Uprising is one of those games where cutscenes alone don’t explain the story and it’s great because it gets you more focused on the gameplay itself

Lady Palutena and Pit's dynamic kinda reminds me of Princess Bubblegum and Finn's in Adventure Time.
It's similar but, I don't think Pit had a crush on Palutena at all, unlike the relationship Fin and PB have where Finn has a big crush on PB and PB just sees him as her faithful white knight that doesn't get recognized beyond that. Palutena is sort of like a motherly figure to Pit in most cases, and he enjoys fighting for her. Pit is the commanding officer of her army, her white knight in shining armor, and she is his gracious goddess and it is his pleasure to fight for her. They both appreciate each other with an equal amount of acknowledgement.

Also ; I found this "Movie" video rather short , but perhaps its because all of the gameplay coupled with dialogues make this game a hoke movie.
Kinda sad to only have one version of the Hydra's cutscenes ; I remember them to have each uniques dialogue depending of wich you defeated first and last.
Pit and Dark Pit remind me of Sora and Riku. Sora is like Pit . They're both cheerful and funny . Dark Pit is like Riku. They're both serious.
