Actually, it would be better to find a version of Guilty Pleasures *not* derailed, since unless you know how it's supposed to go, you don't know what's so funny about the derailed one. *After* you've seen how it's supposed to go *then* go watch the hilariously derailed one.

Nice catch of Adam's VP shirt. They are friends and met on The Sing Off. They've (at least a couple of them) appeared in some VP videos. You still need to see Zombies vs Hillbillies (Voice Play vs Home Free) for some ridiculous fun! Geoff was one of the background people in HF's 9 to 5 video too. Layne (VP beatboxer) has helped with arrangements on some Home Free songs too. HF also met Avi, Chance (who was in Street Corner Symphony), Peter Hollens (who was in On the Rocks) and the guys from Straight No Chaser all on The Sing Off and have all stayed friends and collaborated on things. The a capella connection just keeps going. Lol.

If I remember right, after they won the SingOff, they toured as SingOff performers and did concerts around the nation for several months (or a year?). The groups who went with them for those concerts were VoicePlay and Filharmonic. You can see a clip of Rob at the back of the Filharmonic member line practicing on stage and he spins off, imitating the Filharmonic members.
Well, because they all know each other, These basses( Geoff, Tim, Avi, Matt, Chance, Peter should all do A song. That would be great. The Beatboxers A song together would be great. Layne, Kevin, and Adam, oh my!!!
Exactly right! Geoff will be the first to admit that Tim really helped him get down into his subharmonics fully. He learned several techniques from him. A capella is a small community to begin with, but they more than just know each other...they are indeed friends. Tim and Austin actually did a mini concert series with Straight No Chaser just a few months ago, so they do maintain those connections. Home Free also collabed with Peter on I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For just a few months ago.
@@MarielleSweden Thats what I'm thinking, I checked out the video of 9 to 5 and didn't see him. At first, I thought the guy with long hair that was dancing was him, but remembered that back when the song released, Geoff had short hair.
So good. I think they were singing at the Minnesota Twins baseball stadium. Pretty cool. This is a good rendition of the song and I love the video of them traveling to concerts. Good reaction Adam and you have a nice voice!

I love these kind of videos that show a bit of tour life. Home Free are ridiculously generous anyway in showing fans aspects of their life off stage with all of their behind the scenes and Home Away From Home videos, but it's fun when they make music videos showing Tour Life. Life is a Highway and On the Road Again are the other two videos I can think of that are in this same theme.
The Minnesota Twins are the major league baseball team in Minneapolis. I'm not sure when they did it but I'd guess it was something like opening day for the Twins (and would have been before 2016)

The guys did great with this song and adding what goes on when they are not on stage. What is really good about them is there doesn't seem to be anyone with a major ego. As Amanda Patch said below...Guilty Pleasures Hilariously Derailed...is really good...Maybe...Good Ol' Boy Good Time...fun. Thanks for a really good reaction.

Home Free takes original songs to another level.
I hope you would consider doing their music from the Sing -Off, in which they won. The judges had many good and constructive ideas for Home Free. Also, Austin Brown has a new number called “Put Your Head On My Shoulder “ A cover from Paul Anka. A beautiful rendition from my teenage years. Loving watching your journey through Home Free. Theres something about watching it through someone else's eyes, and it's a pleasure to see it from yours...seriously. You have a great sense of humor and your personality as a whole really adds to the experience. Thanks, Adam, for another great reaction. I think I may have mentioned these before but I think youd like " Honey I'm Good" because t shows them having a "guys night out" in a bar and it's really funny. Also, Tim hits some major low bass in it, especially towards the end.Another great one is a cover of Maren Morris's " My Church". 💗
I think you should react to their journey on the Sing Off (an acapella competition show here in the US), starting with episode one, and listen to the judges reactions. They had been performing before that, but that's when they got their notoriety. They won the Sing Off the year after Pentatonix did, so, as a Pentaholic as well, you should react to their journey on the Sing Off as well. Pentatonix, unlike Home Free, were a brand new band, never performing together until the Sing Off. It really is fascinating to hear their stories of how they first started their career, both bands. They were all "babies" back then. Just a suggestion. :)
There are various uploads of The Sing-Off videos. I recommend finding Ingrid Händel's playlist. Her videos are very crisp and the sound is good.
Buddy you totally have to do home free guilty pleasures hilariously derailed. (its a you tube vid of one of thier live shows, an excerp. ) Absolutely love these guys live, seen them once going April 23rd to see them again, and i will every time they come to Ontario Canada. They are really good friends with the other a capella group members. Geoff C. even asked Tim for some advice on reaching his lowest bass notes possible and Tim being Tim was glad to help! Watch Tim’s gestures. When he drops low, like he did in this one, his right hand will be down around his hip. And if he is doing a descending run, he will be gesturing in the direction of the run, down three steps (3 levels down), or 4, etc.

The guy you didn't know was Chris Rupp. He started the group with his brother Adam Rupp (beatboxer) in college. He left in 2016 to do a solo career. That is when Adam Chance joined the group. Another great reaction from you.
Chance wears a Street Corner Symphony (a capella group he used to sing bass with) shirt in his first video with HF, their cover of Try Everything.... A nice nod to them! Great catch on the VP shirt!
I did so enjoy this as always! I've seen this video many times and never noticed the VP t-shirt....nor did the reactor mention it...thanks for noticing that!! I've never seen the original video for this....so for me...this is the original! This just u still shows how much fun they have at their shows...they don't just sing...they entertain! You need to see them live if you get the chance to...you will love them even more!

Some of the clips you laughed the most to were from their Guilty Pleasures video. You would love it.
Most of the on-stage footage is from The Sing-Off Tour that they did between Feb 19 and March 29, 2014 (though Adam missed the first part of it because his first child, Cerise, was born Feb 15, 2014, so they had a replacement beatboxer named Heatbox). They toured with VoicePlay (+ Emoni Wilkins from Ten) and The Filharmonic. Those columns of lights behind them are part of The Sing-Off Tour stage set.

I was just looking at the description box for this video and noticed that it was shot and edited by Layne Stein -- VoicePlay's beatboxer. Which is awesome. I should read the video descriptions more often.
Glad you caught the VoicePlay t-shirt worn by Adam Rupp. Rob from Home Free was featured in one of VoicePlay's videos this past year. It was the ACA top 10 movie theme songs.
Home Free and Voiceplay have been friends for many years ever since they both competed on an Acapella singing show called The Sing Off. Home Free won but Voiceplay did very well (3rd place I think). But it is common for the two groups to help out on arrangements for other songs. And Tim from HF taught Geoff from Voiceplay how to sing some of those crazy low notes that you love so everyone needs to LOVE 💕 both bands.
This story about Geoff is not true. Unfortunately people say things jokingly that then become treated as gospel truth. In fact IMHO Geoff has a better voice than Tim (besides being a lot better-looking).

Please check out Home Free's version of 'Travelin' Soldier'. They did a role swap on the original. They made the soldier a woman with a man as the love interest back home. A tribute to female soldiers.

@@LoRyder do you think they will release it this Friday (because if the 20th anniversary of 9-11) or for veterans day. I think it could be for either but more then likely for veterans day. I read the words and have listened to it many times so I'm not sure. I cant wait until they realeas it and I will load up on tissues

I feel like they are holding on to a few of them because they will be starting their tour in October and will need to continue to put out content for the time they are on the road. I'm on their Patreon, and follow Chance on Twitch, and they haven't said anything about the next release, so I doubt it will be 9/11, since Patreon releases new videos at least a couple of days before it gets posted on YT. But I like your thinking, it could be for Veterans Day.
@@LoRyder They've got something like 11 videos in the can so they can keep to their every-other-Friday release schedule while touring. And sometimes their new vids don't release on Patreon till the Thursday evening before. They're not entirely consistent.
