I have loved and respected Aria's since I bought my 1st electric guitar in the 70's. It was a A-1932 (SG Copy with a clear finish). That one was stolen in the early 90's. I've since found a replacement (made in 1972 still an A-1932) on Reverb but this one has a Japanese Bigsby that (like Japanese guitars tend to do) stays in tune when you use it. I couldn't love another guitar more.
Hi , Scott . I have a Aria Pro II PE R60 made in japan which I bought new in 1983 , for two hundred and thirty english pounds the condition is 5 small dings overall, slight buckle marks on the back, a few slight pick marks on the front [ there is no pickguard on this model] not a lot of fret wear, no tarnishing anywhere, all in all, pretty good condition . I have never had to adjust the action or intonation, and I have never even looked at the electronics. It plays like a dream and sounds great , and I will never sell it . I have other guitars , mainly strats and teles that need a bit of attention now and then. But you can't go wrong with those old japanese Arias.
Beautiful Aria Pro! Years ago I was looking to score my first poor boys Gibson LP I tried to get one of these of Craigs but it was gone in 30 minutes. I now have a 1976 or 1977 players grade PE-125. Even has a 17 degree headstock and German carve fully maple body. Love it!
Hi! Scott really dig that guitar. When you played a little bit of baby hold on to me it just really got me! Thanks Scott 🎸 glad you're on the mend.. CLASS ACT
I have been trying to date my aria pro II les paul. Fortunately my wife is not jealous. It looks like the one you have, no serial number but has square inlays on the neck. My brother in law recently gave it to me he got it second hand in 1986. Im guessing made in 1976? Still don’t know how to identify what model it is though. Appreciate you making this video man
Just subscribe to Scott's channel I was looking for a lesson on the chief him self ring of fire as for some reason never find it that easy to play as I'm a old man Newby being playing a year all self teach from scratch when I came across Scott's channel well who better to teach than the man who play for the cash family lucky sod all hale the chief folsom prison blues was the very first song I learn it's what made me pick up the guitar and learn to play so just a massive thank you Scott for giving me the opertunity to play ring of fire the right way and keep the country lesson going I'm 46 and new to guitar but I have the bug now loving the country sound all the little licks and tips awesome Scott your a legend
Aria Pro II's are head spinningly confusing because they put that logo on every shape under the sun. I had an interesting Aria Pro II small body double cut SSH with several mini toggles that played and sounded oustanding. Digging the double stops with bends and Jackson Brown lick.
Great video!! I have two of the exact same guitar as your black beauty. Can you tell me about the top ( Maple?) veneer. And also what is right under the veneer? in mine, i you look under the pu´s there is a layer with "tunnels" kind of.?(:
I picked up an Arial Pro II Fullerton at a pawn shop for $45. It makes no sound but that's no problem. It's a Hard Tail which is kind of rare I found out later.
I've had a couple of Fullertons and enjoyed them. They were the 3 single coil models and the bridge pickup was half on the pickguard and the other half mounted to the body. Kind of groovy.
Are those Grover Milk Bottle Tuners ? Scott, dou you have any info on Marc Bolans Hummingbird? I believe it was an Aria and had to be made before 1972. Thanks 🙏🏻
Beautiful Aria!!! I have a cherry sunburst Aria Pro Il custom... I will never part with it.. ....Matsumuko . I can send you a picture of it if you would like? Same case and set neck.😁👍
Nice. Just stumbled back on your channel since maybe 10 years ago. You were discussing some health issues then, I don't exactly recall what; But you might find some good info from a guy called Dr. Berg here on youtube. He's big into keto and intermittent fasting. BTW, from that mid-70's era I like the Lyle acoustics and I have one of their neck-through 24 fret models too.
Hi Scott,I have a 1978 or 1979 Aria LS Standard that looks just like yours except it has an open book headstock with Aria Pro 2 lettering and Standard written on the truss rod cover. It is a brilliant guitar and much better than a Gibson Les Paul Studio 2015 I recently sold.
Hello Scott, I'm Sergio. I found you because a friend mine told me about your videos and they are great. I have a electric guitar with wraparound bridge Graphtech resomax NW1 and looking for try to find a video explaining how to set it up and intonate it. any help will be appreciated. Thanks
saw a really cool aria LP thing on reverb for a good price and i almost picked it up but when i looked closer the fucker had SCALLOPED THE FRETS. i hate shredders, man lmfao
Hey Scott, I've been Watching you for a long time and have made very few comments. This one has nothing to do with the current video, I'm just trying to get to you. I play guitar, And would love to discuss that topic, but my post here is for one reason: WHAT IS YOUR VOTE FOR THE BEST COUNTRY VOICE OF ALL TIME? Personally I say Mr. George Jones. Just my opinion. THANKS
As usual headed wrong button and that didn't finish my comments and I'm the kind of guy that start something to finish and say LOL but yeah the firebird was always my favorite guitar and then 2017 I finally managed to get one wasn't an original old one like yours but for me it was a big deal and just last week the guitar fell off the back of my bed went through the the frame and a I can't tell you how horrified I was. Couldn't see it really of course that I could feel it you know I felt pretty headaching to me to say the least no shit. Now I got to try someone locally to see if I can get someone to fix it. It's funny how a blonde guy is concerned with the way I could talk looks. Ain't that something? It is to me I kind of like think about it I said to myself what the hell do I kill call her it is whether it's scratched you know cosmetic things like that and I've gotten much better about it you know no anal retentive issues with that but in the end that's still really made me cringe. Well the guitars I have not that I have all that many I buy and I plan to keep them no sense of selling them I can't wait long enough for them to be antiques so rent this because I'll be dead by then lol. But yeah I'll get it fixed maybe even refinished huh something with you're like a candy apple red with metal flake cuz I love that color on my bicycle when I was a kid and maybe some ghost flames and a grim reaper on the back with on the raised part of the Next room see how and I won't be able to see really probably most of it if any of it and red won't look red to me but it is what it is anyway Scott I'm really glad to see you are still hanging in there you still sound great for verbally and musically and yeah I subscribe cuz somehow I got unsubscribe for years so am I getting a notification so you just came up on my feet I'll look into it in my settings and whatnot stay cool stay groovy be real. Because we don't really like I need fake people do we and if they're fake well then they're not people LOL sincerely was, above the blind bedroom guitarist PS I guess you can see I'm a rabbit the commenter it's become a habit more like an addiction or just one more addiction to add into all the addictions I've accumulated in my 60 plus years on this Earth 50 of them 50 and 50 plus all you know they're in groovy things at the time and let me tell you there were some really goofy things that you can't get today. And for me that's a good thing LOL out of public
Hey Scott nothing's cool video groovy as he would say. Are you old enough to remember laughing? I think you are. I didn't Richard Nixon then they have them saying groovy on the show or something like that that kind of sticks out of my mind. Really cool sound the guitar you know I remember the Johnson your Johnson but that's another story LOL anyway yeah you know one of the first modeling amps I remember you had a used collection of guitars I can't imagine you would have gotten rid of them all. I guess maybe you have them in storage cuz you had a bunch of humbucker guitars I remember. You know you had I think it was the 63 or 64 you think it was a 64 maybe even a 65 firebird with the tremolo was called a viola or something like that a tremolo. And
After over a year of your health scares, you're looking very healthy! Glad to see you posting again!
Your steel guitar on an electric always gets me! It sounds amazing!
Dr. Groovy Rules! I could listen to you play all day man. Excellent chops. Glad to see you putting up more videos.
Happy to see you back, would be happy to see you with a million subscribers, you offer something nobody else does. Thanks
I bought my 1983 Ibanez Roadstar II strat based on Scott’s recommendation and i absolutely love it. You can’t go wrong with these MIJ guitars.

Two humbucker guitars in a row? Did you hit your head? Lol jk. I’m glad you’re doing reviews again!
Love those patches. You always have a great tone. 🤘👍
I have an Arbiter Les Paul with exactly the same case..it's a lovely guitar.
Thanks Doc!
I had a a Aria 11 strat style had the dragon carved in it. Have you ever seen one of those?
This is the one to get, period!
Aria especially Pro II put out some groovy stuff. Have a nice F5 style 70s mandolin.
The ole grove doin it as usual.
Scotty yeah the vapors killer axe the old aria pros will amaze people ounce they play them I’d love to own that one.
Howdy from Western Colorado!
Aria Pro II's are head spinningly confusing because they put that logo on every shape under the sun. I had an interesting Aria Pro II small body double cut SSH with several mini toggles that played and sounded oustanding. Digging the double stops with bends and Jackson Brown lick.
How can I make a steel guitar patch? I love the sound of them.
Great video!! I have two of the exact same guitar as your black beauty. Can you tell me about the top ( Maple?) veneer. And also what is right under the veneer? in mine, i you look under the pu´s there is a layer with "tunnels" kind of.?(:
Love these vids. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Scott, Nice guitar.
Enjoyed the video! Love the shirt too!
Very nice!

Wow … It looks mint!
Rest that ankle. ☮️
I have a 1977 Ibanez similar to this. Are they still considered good guitars? It has a bolt on neck though.
How much you would sell it?
Cool guitar, man you got a deal!
Are those Grover Milk Bottle Tuners ?
Scott, dou you have any info on Marc Bolans Hummingbird? I believe it was an Aria and had to be made before 1972. Thanks 🙏🏻
Does Aria Pro II have Les Pauls with slim necks?
Not that I've found. Their "PE" series, which is similar, have thinner necks.
Wow, beautiful guitar!
Many years ago I got an Aria Pro II PE450 for free. I still have this one in my collection and this is a great guitar
Hi I was wondering if u can do a review on nux mg 30 pedal board
Howdy, I don't have one or know what it is.
Multi-Effects Modeling Guitar Effects Processor
Beautiful Aria!!! I have a cherry sunburst Aria Pro Il custom... I will never part with it..

That's awesome. Yeah, 2015 was a VERY odd year for Gibson. I'm glad you kept the REAL guitar. lol
Hello Scott, I'm Sergio.

I have a electric guitar with wraparound bridge Graphtech resomax NW1 and looking for try to find a video explaining how to set it up and intonate it. any help will be appreciated. Thanks
Don’t Literally break a leg, Scottt
What's the deal with some people installing string butlers on their Les Paul headstock?
They look silly,don't they?
Do they make those for people that don't know how to do a set up on an LP? Lol...people will buy anything, won't they?😆
Supposedly keeps the G string from detuning when doing the good old whole step-unison bends on the G and B. Paul's are notorious for the issue.
saw a really cool aria LP thing on reverb for a good price and i almost picked it up but when i looked closer the fucker had SCALLOPED THE FRETS. i hate shredders, man lmfao
also the "o" is crooked because the logo uses the famous font "cooper black" which is known for its distinctive crooked "o". check it out!
Always thought the aria pro ii RS 600, 850, etc were cool but all seem to be in Japan or in UK or...Moscow..
Yeah, all the groovy ones are located somewhere else and have seen a fair amount of battle scars. Hard to find a really clean one.
I've got an rs850 in fine shape! Lovely guitar, with odd appointments! I haven't gotten back to it in a long time, though. I'll have to pull it out!
I know what the vapors are Scott I'm old enough..🤣
Hey Scott the 70s pancake bodies were sandwiched w walnut not balsa..not to be ungroovy just for info sake..rock on bro
The regular models used maple in the middle and the "Lite" models used balsa.
