Not the same type of loco I don't suppose but as a young lad back in the early '60s here in Sussex, with a friend of mine we would venture down to the local station where an 0-6-0 + tender would make up a goods train. It's only right to point out that this was all loose-coupled which is a sound in itself to behold every time the train starts and stop! Happy days and may your locos remain long a-steaming!
@@joshslater2426 It was temporary put back into BR livery with transfer and will most likely revert to LNER livery for next year after winter maintenance
If 116 kilonewtons, 180 psi approximately loco weight 50 tons hauling two inside cylinders attractive effort long freight trains because of J27 LNER Class P3 design by William Worsdell
Was this a charter. If so how can I find out about them in the future would love to film at charter on the line. Some of those roles mounted contraptions look amusing
There was a charter with J27 over three days but this was filmed during an actual pick up goods move on the railway. Photo charters appear in Timeline events website. Do search on google. You can also join the the Facebook group facebook.com/share/g/19BJxEM4fp/?mibextid=K35XfP

Great video. This event definitely takes us back to the days of working steam.
A first class video. Nicely filmed and edited. Well done. 👍
Thumbs up! 🚂✔
Nice video, Like.
Sometimes artificial weathering can go way over the top, but the J27 looks just right.
Nice video :)
Personally I liked the J27 in LNER a lot more but it’s nice to see it still running.

I'll be one of the few to say it but I actually find it looks great in BR weathered livery
👍👍👍

Is there any chance that the B1 will ever go back there?
Unlikely
Noooo it was nice to finally see a loco not in either BR Black or Green
