Sean's Response to the IHOP/ Mike Bickle Crisis

- Hey friends, Sean Malone here with Crisis Response International. I recently had a dream that I feel compelled to share with you, particularly those who might feel discouraged. The dream relates to recent revelations about Mike Bickle and the crisis at IHOP. Like many, I admired Mike and the values he stood for, so hearing about the allegations was devastating. But amidst the shock and disappointment, I received a message from the Lord to stay the course. The dream depicted a small church being evicted, with sinister forces eager to destroy it. Yet, I was urged to hold firm, knowing that darkness will ultimately surrender. This message is for all who feel shaken by recent events, reminding us of the power of prayer and worship even in the face of adversity. Let's remain steadfast and trust that God will bring healing and renewal to his church. God bless you.

Honestly, I’m tired of hearing people say, “The Lord said this to me about…” this just sounds like a deflection of everything that’s going on. 😢
the implication is that you shouldn't question it and if you do you are "sowing discord among the brethren". I dont believe anyone is called to 24/7 worship and prayer, it results in vain repetition for sure. Its a fallacy.
Jesus spoke of the hidden disciplines- praying in secret, fasting in secret, giving in secret, forgiving in secret. IHOP created a platform where disciplines that were meant to be hidden disciplines were displayed before man, based on the displaying of people’s individual gifts, which created a culture of exclusiveness and elitism. The Bible says every man’s works will be tried by fire, to expose whether they are, silver or gold and precious stones, or wood, hay, and stubble. Wood, hay, and stubble are those things that are above the ground, that man can see. Silver, gold, and precious stones, are hidden beneath the ground, where no man sees, but God. From my involvement over the years with IHOP, It seemed to create a cultish environment. The exaltation of man and works, always end up in abuse from tyrannical autocracy. In serving God you are either a servant of the Spirit or a prisoner of the organization.” (T.Austin Sparks)
The Scriptural command is to live for Jesus and obey Him. If we individually listen to His voice and stay in His Word, it doesn't come down to whether or not we have to prop up IHOPKC.
We can consecrate ourselves to God's will for our lives and intercede with or without that one organization.
As with any organization built on deception, God will still honor those who have pure hearts and came there for Godly reasons.
Do you really need to have a dream in order to encourage the sheep? Not a single scripture? The beautiful Word of God is full of His wisdom, spirit, direction and encouragememt for us to trust, pray and stay rooted in Christ. Our spiritual light and food is abundantly provided in the scriptures. Yet everyone seems to need a "dream," a "vision" and a "word" of his own personal revelation. You didn't crack open the Bible for one second yet your language used words taken from Scripture "the voice of the Lord" and "the forces of darkness" and "the Antichrist spirit" all concepts from Scripture, yet you can't find a single scriptural passage to offer encouragement to the sheep? You never once mentioned Jesus or the Holy Spirit. You didn't say once, "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness" or "pray without ceasing?" Or "God works all things for good to those that love him." This video is a perfect example of the IHOP movement's idolatry of signs and wonders over the word of God. The Word once delivered has ten times the power of this little dream which is a cheap imitation of God's true food. This is kindergarten. You didn't need a dream to simply end up saying "stay the course."
To be a shepherd you need to enter by the gate which is Jesus Christ himself. Then the gatekeeper, the Holy Spirit, will let you in.
John 10:1-3, 7-8 (RKJNT) Truly, truly, I say to you, He who does not enter by the door into the sheepfold, but climbs in by some other way, he is a thief and a robber.
But he who enters by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
To him the gatekeeper opens; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calls his sheep by name, and leads them out.
Then Jesus said to them again, Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
All who came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.
How "stupid" of you to be grounded by God's Word...I say that in jest, fully support your post. For IHOP cult-driven people think flesh/ego-driven dreams overshadow God's Word. Even this Sean guy presents a dream "from God" of "us against them" with religiously false humility.
This is so dream/vision Mormon, Jehovah Witness, Hill Song, Vineyard, and Elevation in "Godly" fruit.
Your post was God-centered, Butterfly! But, IHOP-ers won't get it, they blindly rely on religious-sounding or pizza-driven dreams from wolves that pose as sheep. God's Word is so clear but they are blind to it.

It’s wild to me how little consideration is given toward the implications of keeping families in poverty thru this lifestyle. Most “prayer missionaries” are on state assistance and barely make ends meet month to month.
Cukt leader Jim Jones had all of his followers on welfare and food stamps.
That's not the case with ihopkc, but, I found it unusual the number os students,, interns,, etc who were obligated to hold down a full time job while also being obligated to commit to hours,, often overnight hours, to the 24/7 praise and prayer room. No scholarships. No church backing for missionaries.
But, cash was and is flowing in.
Our local news revealed that there are 32 businesses are registered to the 24/7:Red Bridge Road address to Bickle and cohorts. An ihopkc insider said the number was 66 businesses registered to that address. Bickle still has ca$h flowing in. His wife is in real estate. A KOREAN business person, Lim, and his wife, connected to ihopkc ministry have been buying up oil and mineral rights to US land through one or more of those businesses. They have since hone radio silent since that fact was exposed.
You should pray into the element of local church in that dream and what God would have to say to those in para-church ministries about His care for the local church. The absence of a functioning local church around Mike Bickle is what allowed the darkness to have such a stranglehold for so long. The enemy is happy to let the illusion and trappings of local church stand so long as no body life is active.
How is anyone confused with what Mike did? He's been doing it for years and many people knew about it. This is the problem with the NAR. You people are so spiritual but can't see what's right in front of your face. You believe anyone that says they heard from God when none of you hear from God
Jesus never said go start prayer movements. When you follow cult leaders, you get every false way. I pray that all involved will turn and put their faith in Christ alone!
I understand the macro level point. However do a deep apologetics dive on the beginnings of this church and NAR doctines. God is giving discernment for folks to get out of this place.

Thank you, Sean. I didn't know or follow Mike Bickle, but I have had friends that have been part of the ministry there, so I know a bit. But your word at the end of this video about feeling shaken and disillusioned hits home as I have seen that over the past year or so among many believers, including my family. So I'm not surprised with what we're hearing about Bickle and KC. I think 2023 was a time of God revealing areas in the Church that need cleansed, for judgement always begins in God's house. But 2024 can be a time of releasing of the outpouring that many have been crying out for. Let it be so. God bless.

Yes, it does. I have prayed for him. He is a wolf in sheep clothing. His Bible knowledge is above average. Satan too knows the bible . He just does not obey THE WORD. Neither does Mike. A 14 year old shy teen who he was the pastor of. My God, this poor child. Praying for her and all the Jane Does .
