Now, honestly I like the still images for jumpscares. It really emphasizes the animatronic's anticipation and importance, like how Golden Freddy, Nightmarionne, and Nightmare's jumpscares are still images and they all contribute a lot to the FNAF storyline/lore. Plus, you don't see those jumpscares on a nightly basis so the still image and the relatively scarier character design also makes for a well planned jumpscare.

It actually makes sense. Springtrap can barely move himself due to him being an actual human springlocked into a suit and not just a lil baby man possessing it's insides. It's really all he can do.
Springtrap: was literally spring locked in a 150 pound suit and was in a room for 30 years so that’s why his jumpscare is him just walking up to you. Golden Freddy/nightmarrionet are both really creepy actually because it looks like they’re staring into your soul. And stupid frog is a pretty decent jumpscare compared to ned bear.
