This is a satisfyingly realistic when it comes to toxic relationships. Narcissists abuse their victims, and when they can't take it any longer and leave them, they get extremely insecure and only linger on the "good memories" together, and never the wrongs they commited on their victims. This is also how many people tend to stay in abusive relationships, the whiplash of being abused and then the abuser suddenly feeling bad and wanting the "good old times back," as if they could change.
I want someone to sit down with Homelander and make him understand that he is the most inconsistent peroan ever. Disrespect some for years, yet suprised when they betray you. Want people to obey you, yet get pissed when they don't disobey you. Ask for the smartest person on the planet to join your team, fires her for making the smartest decisions.
The thing is, Homelander's behavior mirrors history's narcissistic despots. For example, Idi Amin was seen as a deluded bafoon but was ultimately shocked when his supposed "friends" betrayed him, ergo Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, et al. Nothing surprising about how "deluded" Homelander may have been upon knowing that A-Train betrayed him. After all, in his mind, the daily jibes were meant as a means of forming some kind of a bond with his lackeys, together with a reminder that "I am superior to you, so don't you forget it." And as for Deep, he's more of a court jester at this point.
Saddam was actually known to be extremely charismatic. Even his prison guards loved him and felt sad when he died. The power of charisma, man. It'll make people overlook anything.
When he was like “I can’t believe A-Train betrayed me 🥺” I’m like Really?? You CAN’T? Like at all? Is he speaking metaphorically or is he serious right now 😂
As crazy as it sounds he loved him. Just like he love Maeve. Vought twisted his concept of love so much that he thinks his actions to the Seven show love, just like Vought torturing Homelander made him love Vought.
Homemilker couldn't care less about Translucent's murder, Lamplighter's suicide, Maeve's "death", mistreating everyone's "fish guy" chew toy Deep, or replacing his only real friend, Noir, and is annoyed by Stormfront's suicide and pleas, but breaks down over "fat fuck" A-train?
It is pretty funny, I have to agree. 'I can see your girdle you f fck, its disgusting'. Than telling the Speedster after his tussle with Deep to stay down & rest those useless effin legs. What is he thinking? If he did whine over the Deep, I could understand it. Deep finally embraced his role as a violent bully & his idealism was subdued. When the 'Lord of the 7 Seas' told HL, he'd kill every fish in the ocean for him, now that was devotion. But A Train? I never saw a scene between them, where HL isn't abusing the power dynamic. I don't think it really makes him sad that it is A Train. It is probably the fact that he oouldn't spot his lies & that he couldn't punish A-Train for it. If HL ever runs into A Train again, he better be ready to break another record.

This is also how many people tend to stay in abusive relationships, the whiplash of being abused and then the abuser suddenly feeling bad and wanting the "good old times back," as if they could change.
I was like what ☠️, bro bullied him and still had the nerve to cry 🤣
It's less of a "How could he could do this to me?" and more of a "How could HE do this to ME?"
Not even Firecracker came in handy. He was truly heartbroken 😂
He is not crying for A-Train. He is crying on the fact that he has no one and is somehow a victim.
Tough love parents when their kids grow up hate them
Well Homelander has never questioned his own teammates so thats how he was caught surprised
It reminds me of when he nearly starts crying when Black Noir I tells him he know about Soldier Boy being his dad.
It shows his insecurities and lack of control he really has.
All I could think about was Ronaldo crying after missing that penalty at the euros😂😂
Bro has an INSANE victim complex whenever anyone double crosses him
In season 1 he tried to replace A Train lol.
Et tu, A-Train?
He sees The Seven as his "real family."
Bruh if that was his "real family" why does he treat them like shit except Deep
The thing is, Homelander's behavior mirrors history's narcissistic despots. For example, Idi Amin was seen as a deluded bafoon but was ultimately shocked when his supposed "friends" betrayed him, ergo Gaddafi, Saddam Hussein, et al. Nothing surprising about how "deluded" Homelander may have been upon knowing that A-Train betrayed him. After all, in his mind, the daily jibes were meant as a means of forming some kind of a bond with his lackeys, together with a reminder that "I am superior to you, so don't you forget it."
And as for Deep, he's more of a court jester at this point.
Saddam was actually known to be extremely charismatic. Even his prison guards loved him and felt sad when he died.
The power of charisma, man. It'll make people overlook anything.
want makes us think that this is homelanders genuine feeling he is twisted after all
him crying bout that got me dying lmao 😭
The deeper I see A-Train getting in all this craziness, the more you gotta give to Maeve for doing the same and going incognito when she did.
Yup I too laughed a bit lol. He is indeed unintentionally funny sometimes
It’s wild how HL’s abuse extends only to verbal and intimidation, the second he puts his hands on someone, they just die
Heartbeat speedster theory goes hard! Great video! Earned a subscriber
When he was like “I can’t believe A-Train betrayed me 🥺” I’m like Really?? You CAN’T? Like at all? Is he speaking metaphorically or is he serious right now 😂
he felt like that too when Noire left him to avoid soldier boy
Homelander always reminds me of my father. There is a pack of similarities that you can't ignore.
As crazy as it sounds he loved him. Just like he love Maeve. Vought twisted his concept of love so much that he thinks his actions to the Seven show love, just like Vought torturing Homelander made him love Vought.
Honestly, I think this fits his character incredibly well given his immaturity.
idk if “unintentionally funny” is the right word considering how a lot of his moments are played for laughs
Homelander is not killing Butcher. He needs him like Batman needs Joker.
I hate Homelander but Antony Starr does such a good job portraying him
4:18 I was watching the photo's change and then I was like: "SUKUNA?!?!?! WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING HERE?!"
top tier writing as per usual
Imagine the push that tips Homelander over the edge is the Deep dying
homelander - surprised pikachu face
Homelander should've expected that A-Train was the mole. If he's being a bully to him, of course, he'll end up betraying him.
Homelander is sad because his torture pet is gone.
That situation with Homie reminds me that meme where the guy on a bycicle puts a stick in the wheel and then acts all surprised when he sees himself on the ground
Amazing video man!!! I just subscribed to your channel. 🤩🤩🤩😎😎😎💙💙💙✨✨✨ It's insane how Homelander was sad and shocked of A-Train leaving him. That's pretty hilarious. 😭😭😭🤣🤣🤣
Can't stop the A-train baby
Homelander: Why would he do this to me?
Me: I think you can figure that out, buddy.
2:15 never thought about that seriously. Pretty cool detail for real
I feel bad for A-train now I don’t want him to die now but if he does he should go out like the epic hero he’s become
I think in season 3 they talk about of how fast A-Train metabolism is so it would be safe to asume his heart rate might also be fast
Stan Edgar warned Homelander he would soon regret being in charged. 👀
Homelander doesn't care about A-Train and he cries about it? 🤣🤣🤣
He's not just crying about A train he's on the losing side and he cries about it like a child
I know this is a show, but since you brought it up: in reality an athlete’s resting heart rate is actually slower than normal as their heart tends to be more efficient than someone who is untrained.
Is that steak shack? Yummers.
I thought about that too atrain would have a speedster metabolism so that would prevent him from being scoped by homelander vision
did you guys see the a train doll look like death at the first scene??? i think that is foreshadowing that a train would be death soon
Lil Johnny 😂
It made sense lol he really did fuck with the og seven people he did hug bro several times during the early seasons
maybe homelander really doesnt know that EVERYTHING he does is evil
Glad a 5 minute video was needed to explain the joke
