In this video I continue my marble journey and try to make some more mechanics in order to make a fun dinosaur marble set. I make a t-rex chomping on the track and a pterodactyl that will knock marbles off!

Very cool project. I've already built several commercially available marble tracks with my daughter but I think this could be a lot of fun as well.
Just an idea, consider making marble elevator in a Volcano. Would kind of make sense thats its erupting. Great videos can't wait to see this thing working in all its glory. Welcome to Dylan!

As someone who is doing their first real mechanical design instead of just a handful of static models, I understand the "how do I get this to work?" Also, welcome Dylan!
Look into sun gears and other multiple gear systems that can run at 2:1 ratio. If the Dino chomps the track, the ' teeth ' block the track, the other gearset, running at a different speed due to ratio, opens the trap, closes the trap, while the teeth are down and not while in motiion.
I forgot to include that slots in a bar so that a pin can push/pull a rod work best 90° from the axis it slides on. That will probably put the gears under the track and allow the dino to encapsulate the mechanism. Keep going, the design is great!
