I kind of agree with you. T8 hordes is definitely more rewarding and the Pits (to me) are boring. You blow through the mobs and then you have to whittle down the life of the boss. It just doesn't look fun. That being said, if you want to push your build to the absolute damage limit, I still think Pits are the best. And I say this as a person who doesn't really push Pits at all - I just use them to test which theory crafted build does more damage. Blizzard should've added Tier 9 and 10 Infernal Hordes in a midseason update, but since they didn't, if I'm blowing away the hordes and the Fell Council with multiple variants of the same build it's hard to know which one is better if they're both able to pull the same amount of aether. Additionally, you have to build a little differently for Pit pushing. You need to sacrifice damage reduction for damage. I PERSONALLY like the hordes way more because you need to be tankier while still doing damage. It requires more balance. But Blizzard needs to rebalance the Pits. The boss life is WAY out of whack when compared to the mobs.

Sadly they messed up with the boss HP again, they have pre Season 4 nerf HP right now...
