- I somehow managed to fail correcting myself on the "Undead Coming" place visits, it's actually 300,000 place visits. I mistyped in both the script AND the correction subtitle.
- You don't escape the map in Bear is if there was an exit, to "escape" you have to survive until the time is up. I worded it wrong in the narration

I love Bear (alpha) so much. I feel like it's so underrated probably because it barely gets updated anymore with actual new features. The amount of lore behind it is so cool and is what keeps me a fan of it because of how much there is. But in my opinion ever since Bear* was released the game sort of died away and lost the popularity it had. Now it just barely gets 1k players. The game has so much potential too, but unfortunately I don't know if it will ever be as popular as it used to be. Regardless, this game will always have a special place in my heart

A long-ish time ago there was a game called Silent Dark. It was easily one of the best horror games on the platform. Sadly however, the game no longer works due to the fact that the scripts aren’t up to date. There are 2 recreation I know of that are really good, one is a remastered version while the other is much closer to the original.

I was trash at flee the facility. That or people camp all around the bodies they've captured and put into the blue tube thing. So basically it was hard to actually help _ANYBODY_ . Also, it was very anxiety-inducing.

Flee the facility is more of a trolling game. Since it's actually very easy to juke a beast and it's quite fun to do it until they quit.
Edit: Opening all doors and slamming them when the beast is about to enter. Going loop to loop around a room with holes, because a beast can't crawl. Failing a computer purposely to lure it. Etc

it's kind of sad seeing now that horror games ( or any genre of games ) aren't as creative as before and there are huge signs of that when the camping day survival story games appeared
everybody started just copying each other and making the same game with a different look/story or when piggy became popular everyone just basically made a reskin and now with mimic most games are just like mimic good models but decent story writing and most of the time you have to go through a maze.
i was kind of hoping he'd mention something about that when he was talking about camping, i remember when the game was new whatever "horror" game me and my friends would play would have a super similar story line to camping. I really think it influenced like half of the horror games made at that time. And now its a similar case with the mimic, i can't find any games that don't involve getting through a long maze with some sort of entity looking for you

Horror always tries to be scary in some way or form, but the only solution to this is make it unnatural, with the exceptions of not giving any disgust in its viewers and just make it weird enough without horror elements.

It is a turn based physochological horror game in a 8-bit art style. it is set around you (a software engineer) working with an engineering group to stop glitches that infected the world. you are in a group of three fighting of glitches when one gets severed from the group and he ends up dying. I never got passed that in the game and I have been looking for years but could never find it again.

A game I was surprised wasn't here was The Maze by HyperSlica. Its had 198M visits but not a lot of people (compared to that) play it. Its one of my favourite horror games altogether, and basically what happens is you are in a campervan and find a cave. You fall into that cave and there's a maze with two monsters chasing you.
Theres a tall skeleton like monster with red eyes and the other is short and completely black accept from a white mask with huge black eyes.
Omg I love that game!!! The short little guy is called The Cajoler! I actually think he’s an adorable little dude
There's this one horror game from 2020, The haunted staircase.
This game is based off "SCP-087". In the haunted staircase, you are a test subject that was chosen for testing. You will have to go down the stairs until you find a white figure somewhere around floor 200 (300 if you are unlucky)
At start, the staircase is brighter and your flashlight is more effective. But at deeper floors, it gets more and more darker making you almost unable to see and flashlight has almost no effect.
There are three monsters:
The first one. When you encounter it, just dont look at it. It's that simple, but you can get scared if you didn't expect a jumpscare.
The second monster. Your character will say " i feel like something is watching me " or something. If your character said that, dont look behind. The monster is there, ready to attack. There is a more demonic ambience sound when it appears behind. When it ends, it's gone.
The third one / the last one: You must have a QUICK reaction time. When you see it keep looking at it without moving, or you die. But why did i say "QUICK"? Well, If you did not look at it for a short ammount of time when you saw it, you just die.
Somewhere at floor 200, there will be holes in the stairs, if you fall in one, you die.
Overall, i would say this game is a pretty scary one. You should try it if you are looking for a good horror game.

The Haunted Staircase is a game one of my friends introduced me to. Its very simplistic, just walking down like a thousand stairs, but very very unsettling and the buildup for a random chance jumpscare is crazy. I also came across the Smile game (with zalgo text) while recording a Roblox video with a friend that led us down the catalog of horror games made by the same person. Idk much about the whole thing but im pretty sure a game called M U G E N is basically the home for all the horror games. Very obscure and abstract
mugen's just a guy that got randomly banned by roblox one time a couple years ago and makes fun(?) games with his friends on many, many alts

When I was around 7-8 years old when I played Hospital Nightmare for the first time, that cheesy little "Look behind you" ghost jumpscare scared the ever living crap out of me. Silly how horror games for kids end up being scarier because the intended audience has absolutely no clue on what to expect compared to teens and adults who've already seen it all.
This is astounding how I know most of these games just by playing by popularity back then and by the "What you might like" page underneath the actual game pages.
There were some fan games of FNAF example the Wario version which was actually good, but however those got taken down pretty much due to Nintendo and are not known at all anymore.
There also exist less known games example: Day of Judgement by swooped and Eat the brown part of this banana by IncendiaryCrocs which are extremely short games.
I did not expect to get mentioned in this video with the hauntedgarlic part! I have a nostalgic feeling seeing all of these classic games I played before. Side note: I am likely one of the very few people who still making orb games, although slower since life lol. I do plan to make many Roblox horror games in the future! Great video overall!

The first game to do it is actually "Survival the Jeff The Killer" made by Caetanoazambuja in April 13, 2018 it accumulated 221.6 million visits but the game has been changed into the default starter place for unknown reasons

In Bear (Alpha) and Bear* and Bear Deluxe you can only ‘escape’ if the map says so. It’ll say to avoid Sam, Bob, Bear, Doggle and Zombie depending on the players character they chose but if the map is labeled albeit on the panels in Bear* or the RNG wheel (recent and new as of a few months back) in Bear (Alpha) it has to specify that it’s an escape. Naturally the escape maps consist of Lab 56, Haunted Mansion sometimes Yoricks Resting Place, and the like. Not often does it actually really let you escape any maps because of how few they are in as a whole. In the event that another takes it’s place it’s often Infection, Double Down (two bears), One Bounce (one survivor and all bears) and during Star Sundays in Bear*, Psycho (basically murder mystery). Otherwise you must survive in general much like Piggy. 😅
Nice to see Survive the Night representation. Definitely one of the best round-based horror games out there. It’s up there with FTF.
Two games that stuck out to me were the haunted hospital where you would join the game being im some sort of mental institution in a full cafeteria and when you'd go use the bathroom you'd come back to everyone dead and blood everywhere
Also one game that was like one that made fun of every horror game by first acting super generic and low effort before getting really serious and really spooky

I definitely think “Jim’s Computers” should be on there. At first glance it just looks like a small, 2012-looking simulator game. But little pieces of a mystery under the surface say otherwise. Though there are no jump scares, it feels like there SHOULD be one. And when there isn’t, that tension and anxiety you build up doesn’t get relieved like other horror games. You don’t know when your going to be jumpscared, how your going to be jumpscared, what it’s going to be, or anything at all. And that, is the peak of anxiety. You know your safe, but do you feel safe? Even though you know there’s nothing in the closet, you still check. Even though you know the closet hasn’t moved, you still check. The game made me feel more pressure than any other horror game. And when I finished the game, I couldn’t shake of that feeling. When you still feel anxiety even after the game is done, that’s what I call a good horror game.
Is that the game that ends like, well with a gun?
It does have little jumpscares but no monsters. Tbh I'd call it a psychological horror rather than classic horror, but indeed kept me on my toes! Really depicted paranoia perfectly and how stress and pressure can be more disastruous than anything from the exterior.
Most of these are games that I randomly remembered at various points but couldn't find at all. Mostly Kool Killer, Hospital Nightmare 3, and Bloody Mary. It's nice to finally have some sort of solid proof that these games were actually real and I didn't just make them up.
Feels weird seeing people talk about my horror games since they are lesser known but it also feels good that people enjoy them :D

correction for identity fraud: a clone doesn't spawn of you everytime you die, it's only if you die by one of the monsters: fraud, who will pretend to be another player, wave at you and then go after you in an awesome chase. if you're killed by literally anything else you just respawn either at one of the spawns in the first maze or at a checkpoint if you're not playing on hardmode. great game, there's 3 mazes, 2 code breakers, a boss battle, and 5 main enemies who are all very different! i recommend it :)
I don’t know about you guys, but I’m obsessed with horror, and I play roblox alot So this iceberg was good for me. And that’s just for proof that toastedcherries makes some of the best roblox content

I once played a game called Jim’s Computer. It’s a psychological horror with no jump scares(even though it’s tempting you with them many times throughout the game) it’s basically about your character(Jim) buying his first computer. At the end someone,Jim assumes to be a monster, is banging on your door. A black square that you bought earlier in the game fade in a gun. After sometime of pointing the gun at the door, the gun turns to you in the first person. It’s way more complex then that, but I highly recommend you check it out!

SAKTK Was pretty iconic for one of the a type of "simluator but doing the same thing and over again" but when it had new gamemodes, and friends it can never be boring.
It was 2015, I had just returned home from High school and I got on my mum's work computer and played the classic Alone in a dark house for the first time, It scared the life out of me so I bought the Attic expansion. I recently heard about the new version so I tried it, it just wasn't the same. If I remember correctly, the original plot is a bit different compared to the new one.
before the dawn was my favorite game on roblox, i played all the time from its very beginning until it got all of those rebrandings. i met two of my closest friends ever on the game, i don’t really talk to one of the anymore but i still have her social media, the other i talk to all the time still and we’re still close, going on our 6 year of friendship. it’s very nostalgic to me and i love it.
I think a good addition would be Paranormica, a roblox adaption of Phasmophobia and heavily inspired by irish folrklore.
basically you and other dudes investigate some haunted place and you have to identify the type of ghost based of several pieces of evidence such as behaviour. its a very well made free-to-play game and certainly scary af

paranormica was the fucking shit but now it got ruined with the new van lobby and the super cheap jumpscares that happened when you open the house, for a psychological horror game cheap jumpscares arent the way to go. I absolutely loved that game for a really long period back in 2020 when I first discovered it, now it isn't that good anymore unfortunately, but still a good game i guess

Cool iceberg and really nice video, but I'm surprised that the iceberg didn't so much as mention MUGEN. The Mugen group made some of the scariest and most existential games I've ever seen on Roblox. At a particular point in time, I think it was around the mid-2010s, their games and group became very notorious, even making it to the front page if I'm not mistaken. But around this time Roblox ended up crushing the group and banning many of their accounts, likely due to the hacking that was going on and the fact that their games would do questionable things like crash the Roblox client. The bans were very harsh with Roblox even going after accounts that had so much as a similar appearance to the iconic Mugen outfit (colored black with the ROBLOX Sailor Hat). The Sailor Hat was even made unavailable on the catalog in 2016 due to its usage by Mugen and remains offsale to this day (luckily I own one). All this stuff did happen, it's not conspiracy or myth like many of the things on the iceberg, though I might have the timeframe a bit wrong since I'm just going by memory, as I was active on Roblox when all of this went down. Mugen faded into obscurity for a bit but has since returned with new horror games that are consistently updated.
As a sidenote, Apocalypse Rising would have been a good entry too. It had complex lore about what caused the Zombie outbreak, and even jumpscares that would happen if an unlucky player was in the wrong place at the wrong time...

Bloody Mary was one of the first games I played on Roblox. It'll always occupy a special place in my heart. I never finished it because there were less people further into the game you got and I didn't want to do it alone. this was around 2017.
Man, I remember Zeekerss' games actually managed to creep me out like Light Bulb and Silent Dark. Especially Light Bulb, which opened my eyes on how Roblox horror games can actually be scary if done right, lol.

There are two games I’m surprised you didn’t mention, one is the Horror Portal series, essentially a lobby area that takes you into one of I believe 3 games? Including a birthday party, circus, and hospital, each with their own stories which are all connected to an overarching one. It’s one of the more recent horror game series to come out of Roblox, with some rather well made jumpscares imo.
The other one would have to be “Circus Trip”, which while originally appearing to be yet another mindless ripoff of Camping, is a surprisingly scary game complete with voice acting.

The effect shown in "The Mirror" is pretty powerful on me when I just stare in the mirror randomly and just seeing deformations and then i stop staring and get creeped out fo like 3 mins lol

i am responsible for the nicorocks5555 game “here”, and this was inspired off a mugen (the game m.u.g.e.n, not the roblox group) character called the freezer, inspired off a bug in saints row where the game would crash and lose it’s data as soon as you see it. i showed him the video and asked him to make a game off of it. hilarious seeing it here, as it isn’t scary in the slightest.

I see you have a part 2 which I'll definitely watch later, but I'm still suprised to not see "Silent Dark" another Zeekers banger and Identity Fraud 2. Otherwise this was a nostalgia trip. R.U.N. was actually seemingly reaploaded a couple times I remember playing it in 2016, also Roses, Light Bulb, Identity Fraud I have all had fun with and although Zeekers left Roblox to make standalone games I still follow his work and it is still top of the line imo. The first Roblox horror game I played was actually "Stop it, Slender 2", actually the first horror game I played overall, as the simplistic graphics of Roblox made it easier to get into horror, when I was just 14 and genuinely terrified of anything else.
This video brought back a lot of memories and it's interesting to look back and realize that even if I missed a huge chunk of Roblox history having registered in 2015, it still was a pretty big part of my early teenage years.
I remember playing the Bloody Mary game from HauntedUSA, and that part of the jumpscare of a smiley was the only thing that scared me, even tho I was 6 years old. I am a horror fanatic now
Another horror game that I also remember playing was Escape Before It Arrives (the old version)
And this game that was popular back then, it was the old Haunted Mansion map with a white fog and a brunt police car at the spawn, I think and the game was called Scream's House. Yes, and it also has a free model of Scream.

The Stalker was one of my favorite Roblox games as a kid. It brings back so many memories.
I played the game Anxiety, and it was just you alone in a dark house. That was it, but the atmosphere made the game very anxiety inducing (as the name may suggest)

I feel like bear should be somewhere in tier three because overall the game has an uncanny, off feeling to the game as well as the music and the secrets.
Wish fluttershy’s lovely home was in this. It’s old but one of those odd horror games. The creator had multiple games that kinda aligned with it after the game ended. Dunno if they’re all deleted now.

Faith is a relatively new game but it's very good. The atmosphere is very great and sets the tone perfectly. I quite enjoyed playing it.
i remember there was a “horror” game called vampire hunters, its like murder mystery, 1 player has a gun to kill the vampires, 1 or 2 players are vampires, and the rest are citizens, there are other gamemodes called infection and sheriff i believe, the 2nd one which i played was closed down sadly
BEAR surprisingly has a fnaf level lore, most of the secret are lore related
I still remember this one dead by daylight esc game that was really well made and had various horror icons and characters of their own. But now I can't find it, I've long forgotten the name but I hope it's still out there somewhere.

Hospital nightmare 3 was literally my childhood. It’s one of the games I immediately think of when I hear roblox horror. But it was also basically lost media to me because I didn’t have the game favourited, and couldn’t remember the name. Now that I know the name, I’m definitely going to play it again.

Roblox horror games were my whole entire childhood. I started playing roblox in 2010 as a mere 7 year old. Watching this video and seeing all the old games and footage from it made me feel so nostalgic, especially seeing Kool Killer, build to survive the zombies, hospital nightmare 3, R.U.N, the bloody mary games.... God I want to play these games again so bad. Zombie Tower by Nooooooo was an absolute favorite of mine.. I would spend literal days trying to get to the top to never ever make it haha. Contamination was also an absolute banger. Team Zombie Cave Defense was my favorite as well.. Dead Head Dash... But my all time favorite roblox game will forever be build to survive the creepers.
