Your Darci Brahma Filly has in her pedigree on her Sire's (Father) side, Melbourne Cup Winner Ethereal. Her Dam ( mother) won the Hong Kong International Cup. It's a family that *Sir Peter Vela who owns Pencarrow Stud has had for many, many years. Good luck with your Horses, hope you get a win or two with them!!! *Sir Peter Vela also owns New Zealand Bloostock that run Horse Sales at Karaka.
I've spent all my life with thoroughbreds and mixed farming. Horses eat up money and have a lot more to go wrong than cows. If you have the dedication to learn then it would make a great hobby for you but don't give up the day job. 😊
Yum, avocados. Also, I am surprised you didn't pinch the moldy patch off the top of the bale, when it was already facing up on the feeder, just as a bit more for the avo's. I love watching these videos.
Great video , the second race horse you have shares in that doesn’t have a name yet you could call it “ Why Kick A Moo Cow “ it’s a catchy name that will stand out and cause you all are dairy guys it suits you too have shares in a horse with a name like that also there was a greyhound named that in Australia and I think it did well .
@@montyklaus7223 have you seen their horses train or run? Just because your a trainer doesn’t mean your always right about the horses. Unless you are the one training said horses of course.
I’ve been running horses since the 1980’s. I found the only money is training your horse for you. I have a great track record and I make money till the owner finally gives up. I also rebuild classic cars, and once again I make money off idiots that want to pour money into a hobby.
As I said, we’re not in it for a profit, it’s all about having a good time for us. The racing industry in NZ is looking so bright at the moment and heaps of young people are getting into which is cool 👍

Yeah, first thing is your lush dairy grass will make em nuts lol
@@melissabaanders2751 laminitis too
Yep I feel like it would definitely be a risky venture, but quite cool too. Could never give up the cows 👌
Put coloured cable ties on the hydraulic pipes makes life so much easier
Great idea! I’ve been meaning to

Unfortunately we don’t get naming rights but I like the name though! 👌
Caution horses eat money unlike cows that eat grass. 😅😊😂😊
Good luck with your Syndicate. 😊
haha yes I agree!
Hi i like your video
How do you like the film wrapped bales as apposed to net wrapped?
The netting is easier to take off the bale but the wrap stops air getting in better
Guy I work with has won a total of 14M in prize winning from horse racing. Don't count yourself out! You might be on to a winner.
Wow that’s some good luck! Maybe skill even 👌 haha ya never know 😉
vedionya bagus
I'm glad that I never got a Hustler bale feeder
I think the chain fed ones are great for bales like this 👍
Good luck with the horses. Is your one about to race called Lauren or Loreen?
Loren 👍
do the cows prefer silage over grass or will they take the grass first if there's enough of it?
Once they get a taste I’d say most will go for the silage first.
👀🙄🐾👍Horse racing isn't called the sport of Kings for no reason
😂
Do all the chooks run wild or do they have a hen house to roost in. you should have some very good free range eggs.
They do have hen houses they can roost in, can’t beat free range eggs
Are you going to let the racehorses graze w/ your cows?
Nah they won’t come to my farm, they will go to the trainers place
@@TheOnceADayFarmer Did you have horses on your dairy farm before?
You bought a race horse? Plan on milking four time a day just to loose money on a race horse
You don’t know that. They could be invested in winners. It all depends on how the horses are trained and preped for their races.
Your talking to a trainer. I make money off people that think thy have the next Secretariat. It don’t happen
