Norma doesn't really talk because of her stutter but she did sing in the Christmas pageant when Suzanne became overwhelmed by stage fright. Her voice was so beautiful, I was shocked. I had no idea Norma could sing like that :)
This song seriously makes me tear up. This and also, "Come home to my heart" from All Dogs Go To Heaven"...not to mention the music from Thumbelina...

What flaws? I mean some scenes were a bit boring to me but that’s because I was a kid when it came out and I didn’t like suspense
What I love about watching old movies is noticing tiny mistakes. The little pendulum hanging from the flower she wears disappears three times and it’s a little funny. But I don’t blame animators and artists because sometimes little details can be missed for a big project! I enjoy watching older animated movies because of that
Knowing about the history behind the film and how hectic it was, I'm not really surprised about that specific detail.

I'm reading a bunch of shallow and nearsighted things in this comment section. I speak for most of us when I say that this movie is part of our childhood. It's clear that we've all aged a lot since then. But not everyone has actually "grown up." It's evident that while some of us learn more and notice/ understand more when we rewatch things; others don't actually learn anything new and make unnecessary and uncalled for judgements. They over think things too much and kling to the "oh, that's so unrealistic it's bad and I hate it" or "wow that's a stereotype/ cliche" attitudes. I mean, honestly guys how shallow can you get? It saddens me how those minor things cause you to lose sight of the true meanings, morals and ethics behind the whole movie for Pete sake. What really matters is who you are on the inside. And that it's better to be with someone who cares for you rather than someone who just wants to use you. I don't think we've all changed for the better...

I agree. That’s why I’m upset with people trying to censor things from our childhood. Why couldn’t things just stay the same without people getting offensive over things. For instance, they’re changing august gloops appearance description in Charlie and the chocolate factory from being fat to being enormous which to me, makes it sound even worse because people can be considered enormous or big without eating unhealthy 24/7 because it’s how God made them. for ex. Bodybuilders are considered enormous but they aren’t fat by any means. And there are plus sized models who eat healthy and stay in shape. They’re just healthy in a different way. But when someone eats candy everyday, no veggies or anything healthy to balance it out, it’s going to cause health issues in the long run, this leading to actually getting fat. There’s a difference.

It's so strange that I didn't remember this movie at all, and as soon as the song started, lost feelings just rushed over me and I remember how great my childhood was.

This was one of those movies you loved but you never new why.
I wish big animation companies in America would go back to this unique 2D animation. The 3D stuff is starting to make all of the companies look the same.

@ilovetruffles99: Really, because in my opinion, some of Don Bluth films are still great even after so many years like Anastasia, the Secret of Nimh, The Land Before Time, and an American Tail, but what I didn't like about the mouse movies was how the cats looked like monsters, but tastes change so I can respect your opinion.
